Abdomen and stitch job

I used to have decent experiences with this place. But the last animal i took to be spayed here, and i have taken 5, they really dropped the ball for me. I've called them three times after my surgery in a week and no one has called me back. They returned her to me, and said she has dried blood on her stomach. Which I thought, why would you leave dried blood on her? No. When they shaved her, they cut her way too short and cut her, leaving her with a clipper burn. They never emailed me my receipt OR discharge information. They also told me my animal was in heat before the surgery when she showed no signs of being in heat at all and always has in the past. So I paid for it just taking their word for it, but they apparently had no way to show me. My animal had a seizure from one of the medications that she was given, and when I called asking questions, they never returned my call, again. So I am definitely not returning for any general practice or getting her stitches removed, which they also did a hack job on. Really disappointed.

Excellent experience!! Our baby did great and was even sent home with a beautiful hand made blanket because she is a rescue baby! We love her so much!!! Thank you!

Quick, efficient staff had us checked in and kitten dropped off quickly for a neuter, vaccine, and chip. They performed a quick checkup before confirming what we signed up for and sent us on our way. We picked him up later that day and he made an extremely fast recovery. The whole thing could not have been easier. We look forward to returning with other pets for more routine services.

We first came here years ago. I'll be perfectly honest: if the prices were not so reasonable, I would go elsewhere. And sometimes I do -- the VCA Animal Medical Center is an exceptional facility. Whenever I take my pup to the VCA, I always feel like I am in an actual doctor's office. Arizona Spay Neuter Clinic does not compare, mostly because it is just that -- a clinic. The clinic is a low-cost option for those who need spay and neuter services and also vaccinations. The ladies up front are generally cordial and accommodating. I believe we have had interaction with Juli and Jenica -- both are just wonderful and hugely helpful. But while you will likely catch a glimpse of Dr. Scott, in the times we have been I have never seen him greet a customer in any way whatsoever. The vaccination clinic runs Monday through Friday, 2-4 with no apointments. You can get DHPP, bordetella, influenca, rabies, Felv and other shots here. And they renew pet licenses on the spot! During this month's visit, I was able to get rabies shot, a county license renewal and nail grinding for less than $50. Nice! The clinic also offers treatments for roundworm and tapework, along with testing. And they sell some flea and tick products.

The employees are friendly and very efficient and know exactly how to take care of our fur babies . Great for low income families . Thank you for taking the best care of my fur babies .

Great experience! Dr Gordon knows her stuff, and takes care of the babies we love so much. Was worried about side effects of surgery at first but she answered all my questions and put me at ease! My baby pooch came out as happy as she went in and doing great!!! Although I don't think she cared for the cone lol !

I took my two cats in to be vaccinated during their shot clinic (M-F, 2-4p, no appointment needed) on two separate occasions.

Their demeanor is very insensitive and callous, which tends to happen when you start to view patients as parts. I took my runt cat in because she was having diarhea. I told the doc we have limited resources. Doctor Adams saw her and suggested that she may have a sensitive stomach or possible IBS, and if the food did not work, she would see if a script would work. I was told by the tech, Gerrick, that I could call and give an update on her condition to get a script. 2 weeks passed and no improvement. I called for the script, and the "office manager" said I have to bring her in, again (another $70). I've spent thousands of dollars with them, and this is the loyalty I get. I have a sick cat, and now I'm out over $100 bucks with nothing to show for it... $70 for a visit, plus the food, and no medical treatment. I want a refund.

My dog was on the incorrect usage until I verified with another vet the CORRECT dosage. This vet fired me and my 3 dogs in the middle of treating them for major medical disorders. I believe she did this because she was not experienced enough to treat them properly. I found error after error. She's an unethical practitioner. She is high strung and very insulting. She takes 100% of your money (she's one of the most expensive vets in Tucson) but offers only 50% or less care. And she does NOT care for her patients nor their families. She refuses to answer questions like dietary needs or tests and procedures that need to be done. She misdiagnosed and mistreated all 3 of my dogs. I would not use Kayla Boyer she is terrible and has really gone downhill over the years. She's nasty and refuses to answer important questions because she lacks capability and knowledge. A different veterinary Dr. Recently, my senior dog had a bit of a health emergency. The young vet was brazenly arrogant, and my entire body felt anxious when dealing with her. She made a threat to report me and have him taken from me if I did not vaccinate him, prior to first checking to make sure he was ok. It was maddening. His immune system was already taxed and he's been rapidly going down hill since. She actually refused to give me any vaccine information and I believe in my soul she actually misled me to the type of vaccine he received. He nearly died a few days later. He was not a candidate. He needed care and attention, and instead was received coldly and cruelly. It was an absolutely disconnected and strange experience. It left my friend and I horrified. This place is a money hustle and their new young vet lacked kindness and empathy. It was a dark experience. We have since found a lovely vet to assist with his recovery, who is cordial and kind... and most of all puts us all at ease. Encanto, you may want to make sure your Vets actually like animals or can at least pretend to care about each animal without bias or judgement: I'd give this place a 0 for medical care, however, the front desk staff has always been kind and accommodating. Suggestion: perhaps don't make threats to a loving pet owner with a senior dog they love with their whole soul, in a crisis. Just start there. Integrity, transparency and decency go a long way in life and business.

Dr. Benitez did 3 needle biospsies and 4 slide smears to determine whether the mass was of concern or not. Dr. Benitez said he'd be able to get me the results of the slides that day or within a short period of time. During the 2 weeks I awaited that promised call, I called several times to talk to him and was finally told that he works only 1 or 2 days per week. I expressed my frustration as I thought he or your office staff might have led with that. When he called, two weeks later, he said he didn't find anything on the slides. He also informed me I needed to pay to have the needle samples sent to the lab ( I was shocked that no one had contacted me earlier) I paid and he told me they'd take a few days to get back. After a week, I called again and was told Dr. Benitez was not working that day and asked to talk to the manager (who was extremely rude and unhelpful) but she said the results were in (no one had called me). I told her to have another DVM call me with the results and Dr. Anne called me to tell me the good news was that the samples were not cancerous. I've now taken my cat to a reputable surgeon and the results are that my cat has Subcutaneous Hemangiosarcoma. The mass was cancerous! I paid nearly $600.00 and waited 3 weeks from my initial visit only to receive erroneous results.
