Great rental for a small family. Right on the river. About 5 to 7 minutes to Cooperstown Dream Park. Tons of wildlife across the river bank. Oh yeah, did I mention the patio off the back of the house is right on top of the river!!!!! Wake up, get some coffee and fish off the back of the house! Brent also owns the kayak/canoe store next to the rental along with Natasha, so you get FREE kayak/canoe rentals for the duration of your stay. We give 2-stars for "could have been better". However, the positive is: The actual grounds are gorgeous and historical and unique. But, based on the tangible product, increasing your prices for this tourney is unethical if you cannot provide a clean $640 room with working ac during crazy hot weather. For the broken AC, your staff said: "I guarantee it was working" when "said staff" was not in my room at 1 am, 2 am, 3 am and 4 am when I was up trying to get the ac to work. For that, this is why I came here to let future bookings know ;) Lastly, espresso was great, but breakfast was Mid and tiramisu was rotten from the cafe.

Once we got past that and met our lovely hostess and saw the rental it was all 5 stars. The place is small, no question but it is a great economic option. Full service kitchen, clean and I slept like a baby. It served it's purpose with style. I did kill a spider I found in the bed but my wife was sleeping so it was no biggie. If you book a stay at the bungalow feel free to bring a donation for the kitchen. If you have an extra pan or dish or something, you can leave it there for the next guest.

The town is "quaint," so to speak, but the people are friendly. The northern Catskills are beautiful, and there is no better place to stay if you prefer not to be holed up in a motel or expensive lodge-like place. Am I being a bit critical, yes, but this is supposed to be a "luxury" rental. The house was luxury the rest no so.
