The places they booked us (we were not put in 5 star riad when there were 5 star ones available and charged same amount) and the riads they chose were very long walk to get to. They booked us for the Yves St Laurent garden instead of the museum. There were many spots to see they didn't mention. They had us driving all over when there were better options. There were many places we should have visited such as Dyers District (silk & cashmere fabric & scarves). We had lunches included (they did these on the cheap) and their recommendations for dinner were the same sort of food every night. I felt they took us to shops that were overpriced and probably giving them a kickback. Would have preferred to have gone to Max & Jen, Michi, Rue 33 Majorelle, El Fenn Hotel Boutique and Rooftop Bar, etc. Next time, check Yelp, Trip Advisor or elsie green blog first!

Namir, our driver, was above and beyond the call of duty and truly made us feel like we were members of his family. He took such good care of us and even though I'm old enough to be his mother I kept referring to him as my father since he guided us and wouldn't allow us to do anything that could hurt us in the end. We loved Morocco and the people and felt that each place that we visited was unique and special and it's hard to pick a favorite. Of course our night in the desert was a once in a life time experience and probably was one of the highlights but we equally enjoyed all of the other places we visited. The Riads we stayed in were outstanding and once again the people we met in our stays just added to the enrichment of our trip. I will recommend this company to everyone I know and am so thankful that I stumbled upon them. We spent two weeks in Spain afterwards so it was a whirlwind trip but our time in Morocco was definitely the highlight of this entire experience. Fieldstone Farm is a breath of fresh air in a world full of cookie-cutter hotels and motels. You can stay in a cabin, or one of the other townhouses in the middle of "Farm Central" upstate New York. I always see a multitude of wildlife. They just got a new boat with a shade for the big pond, so you can hang out all day on the water without getting sunburn. They have some nice amenities like a tennis court, volleyball court, basketball court, game room/arcade, a nice size in the ground outdoor pool, billiards room and another smaller pond for fishing. There's a nice rolling stream too. The view from the top of the hill is absolutely stunning. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. Pictures don't do it justice. I can't wait to go back.

Initially I had wanted to stay on the water, but we took the "road less traveled" and so glad we did. It is a serene and peaceful location. Once we figured out the route we found it to be quite convenient to Cooperstown and surrounding attractions, and the views are magnificent. The stars at night were incredible. I loved the area and was glad to be away from the traffic and congestion up and down the lakefront. The owners of the Fieldstone Farm, John and Jeannie, were very friendly and accommodating. Overall, this was a super pleasurable experience. Customer Service was exceptional! Staff was super accommodating and helpful! Local people were kind and courteous! We decide at the last minute to stay the night. Jim was so kind! I had originally asked to have one bed thinking...but once seeing the room decided to upgrade to a double bed. The room was large, two double beds, was clean. Decor is a little dated but is still charming and homey feeling! There is plenty of towels and blankets. We enjoyed the small seating area by the window to sit and reflect early morning to do reading. The only gripe which bumped the review down was our air conditioner is too small for the large room we had. Possibly could of be remedied if we turned it on prior to going in to Oneonta for dinner. We prefer our AC to be on high...it looked like the knobs have been taken off to prevent changing the settings. The next morning we decided it would be more convenient to have breakfast in the hotel. The breakfast was ABSOLUTELY amazing! We ordered the children's first. The two youngest had the mini pancake...which was not mini! The really enjoyed it! My oldest had French toast and sat and ate his whole meal with out saying a word! My husband had the Big O. He said it was seasoned perfectly! Jim was super accommodating. I asked if they had Gluten free options. He stated not anything specifically set to gluten free but his staff would make sure to meet my dietary needs. I had the corned beef hash with scrambled eggs! The homemade hash had huge chunks of corned beef complimented with some potatoes! Definitely the way hash should be made! Salad bar was extra - looked like a pass, so didn't go for the $2.95 upcharge. Good selection of drinks and the draft beer was delivered perfectly. My wife and SIL both had the salmon special and enjoyed it. We all commented that the veggies were slightly over cooked. The brunch was a very good deal. Delicious buffet that kept the food warm and fresh. Service was sublime and made for a very enjoyable meal. We stayed the night - room was fine. No hair dryer and the trains roll through the town until late and early in the morning. Fortunately the earplugs did the trick!

They had a hiking trail right next to the property about 5 miles long which was one of the prettiest trails I have ever hiked . I did it twice! Just minutes from Glimmerglass State Park with a huge and beautiful beach! It was a little cold so we could not use beach. I cannot say enough about this bed and breakfast and we will be going back into years when my other son plays at Cooperstown.

When we arrived our room wasn't quite ready, so we asked what was a close place to eat. Jeremy at the front desk directed us to an excellent place just up the road. After spending an hour eating,vee came back and the room still wasn't ready. Jeremy took off from the cost for the inconvenience and we proceeded to hang out in the lobby talking to him about hunting, fishing, and the Cooperstown area. When our rooms were finally ready, we headed to their top level of rooms and settled in. I enjoy "vintage" hotels, but my son is used to modern ones. Needless to say, this place grew on him and it worked for us. We even enjoyed a cigar while overlooking the lake on our last day there. I thought it was a very good deal for the price and it's about a 10 minute ride to downtown Cooperstown, so you're a little ways away from that chaos. Can't beat the views!
