Generous portions. Meat was mixture of chopped and shredded so not cooked as slowly as other smoked BBQ places.

The chili cheese fries were good, but I personally think the chili could use just a little more salt and seasonings. Just my taste. It's connected to the Roberts Centre and so is very convenient, especially during this hot and humid day. You don't even need to walk outdoors,, which is a huge relief because the heat outside was hitting us like the Human Torch's Nova blasts tbh. We were instantly seated at a quiet and comfy booth. The restaurant is very modern and spacious. Like Iron Man's tech and Stark Tower (okay, maybe not as tall). It has an automobile theme to it, so it's really fun! It honestly felt like we were just chilling right inside Tony Stark's personal garage with all his flashy cars. Lindsay was our server and was extremely friendly and fast and efficient. She checked on it us a couple of times and even had the check ready to go when our meals were served. She was basically zooming around the tables faster than Quicksilver. That's a good sign that the restaurant understands how busy conference goers can be. Of course, that was not to rush us at all, but it can always save time when you're going to be busy con conventions. She really had that Captain America level of tactical planning to keep things moving for us. I had the sirloin which was tender and moist. My partner had a fish and chips which were crispy and the fish was what's tender and flaky. Everything was cooked so perfectly it was almost like Scarlet Witch used some chaos magic in the kitchen to get the flavors exactly right. Maybe with a sprinkling of Doctor Strange magic too! Would definitely come back and may even head back later today!

After our…read moreperformance, we needed a place to eat after 9 PM, and Fiesta Veracruz was recommended by some of the students. The interior really lived up to the name--it was festive with lots of blue and brown tones, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The space was much larger than I expected, divided into three main areas. I was with a group of eight, and we had no trouble getting seated. Keep in mind, their kitchen stops serving the main menu after 10 PM, so plan accordingly. Our waitress was very helpful and sweet. I wasn't super hungry, so I ordered tostadas from the menu. While it said they only came with ground beef, the waitress happily substituted steak for one of them at my request. I was curious about the ground beef, so I ended up getting one steak and one ground beef tostada, along with a side of fries and a strawberry kiwi margarita to drink. Before I get into the details, I'll mention that I'm from Chicago, where there's no shortage of excellent Mexican cuisine, so I might be a little biased. That said, the steak tostada was good, though I felt the shell could've been a bit thicker to better support the toppings. The fries were standard, and the margarita was delicious. If you're choosing between the steak and ground beef, I'd recommend the steak--it had better flavor in my opinion. Overall, I understand why Fiesta Veracruz is popular. It's probably one of the tastier spots in the area. If you're looking for some decent food in Wilmington, it's not a bad choice. For the area and a first-time experience, I'd give Fiesta Veracruz a 3 out of 5.

My second visit ... a 4-star experience…read more I sat in the dining room this visit - restrained rural chic. Good job. It is all hard surfaces and the music was a tad too loud (reduced upon request) and the two young infants were busy being infants ... cranky/noisy. Jayla was our server. Prompt and appropriately engaging and attentive. Unlike the prior visit, the chili was sufficiently warm when served and the spice level has improved, kind'a, sort'a like Wendy's spice level, but more flavorful - that is intended as a compliment. My buddy ordered the Italian sandwich w/roasted vegetables. The sandwich struck me as small-ish. The portion of roasted vegetables was generous. He liked both. The only disappointment this visit ... the hamburger bun utterly disintegrated after the third bite. They are proud that everything is scratch-made in house ... but this bun was a fail. I finished my burger w/fork and knife. When cashing out, the manager apologized and admitted that they had not sufficiently proofed the dough. Um; okay, so why serve a known problem? Minus 1-star. First visit: Yelp says that 3-stars is Okay. This was a 2.5-star experience that I am forgiving and rounding up to 3-stars. I sat at the counter to better gauge the tempo. The server arrived promptly with a menu, and my water appeared swiftly. It was refilled once by staff, twice by me. Inattention? Training? I ordered the single patty burger and upgraded the fries to a crock of chili. The chili was what I would describe as Ohio-mild. Not bland, just mild seasoning. The ingredients included beans (yay!) and the texture was good. The bad news: It was not hot. Not even warm. Mostly lukewarm, but four spoonfuls were cold. Yes, cold. And nobody' ever inquired if I was happy with the chili - or the burger. The menu mentions "weekly soup special." Chili was the weekly special. I am guessing that a pot of chili is kept in the cooler and only warmed(? microwaved?) when ordered. In the pic you will The burger is excellent. It was properly seasoned (not over- salted). The sesame bun was expertly toasted. The sauce is tasty and the portion was just right. The greens were a spring mix - another miss. The burger deserves cool crisp lettuce. I was not asked how I wanted the burger cooked ... it is a hand-formed thin patty, cooked on a flat top. It arrived well done, but not dried out. I would have preferred medium-rare, but was never asked. That said, I would happily order the burger again, but there is so much more on the menu that I want to try. The fries. I upgraded from fries to the chili for $2. Yet fries were also served. I am not a fries guy, primarily because I don't care for salt or carbs. These were made in house and if you like salted fries, you will probably be VERY happy with them. The ambiance is rural chic, nicely done and not what I expected to find in Blanchester. The woman working the register asked me to pay before my burger/entree was served. When I deferred, explaining that I would pay after my burger was served and consumed, she asked the kitchen about my burger and the reply from the grill suggested that my order was forgotten. When it arrived, it included fries that it should not have been plated (paid $2 to upgrade to chili. Summary: Great space. Great recipes. Great ingredients. Too many people/process problems. Will I return? Yes. I want to see if the problems are an aberration or endemic.

Locally raised meat, locally grown vegetables, and even their own house-made bread. You can taste the care in every bite. I ordered the Brunch Burger, and it was outstanding. Two grass-fed beef smash patties, grilled to perfection, topped with a farm-raised egg, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion, all stacked on a fresh, house-made brioche bun. Even as a smash burger, it was still incredibly juicy and flavorful. It came with fresh-cut fries that were crisp, hot, and the perfect side. What really impressed me, though, was their Pay It Forward menu. For $15, you can pay for a meal for someone in need. That's not just good food -- that's a business looking out for its community, and I respect that. If you're looking for a great smash burger from a place doing things the right way, Harvester Farm to Table is absolutely worth the drive to Blanchester, Ohio. This is farm-to-table done right.
