I had the Mediterranean salad with chicken. Juicy delicious chicken with fresh romaine, tomatoes, cherry peppers, red cabbage, Kalamata olives and a great dressing. Yum again! My son had the Mediterranean gyro. Lamb & beef piled high on a pita with tzatziki, hummus, red onion, lettuce, jalapeño and feta. He said is was one of the best gyros he's ever had. We love this place. We come every stay in Wilmington for the show! The make your own pasta is a great option. It's all reasonably priced, the options are amazing, and truly it's a good meal every time! The ambiance of the restaurant is also nice - sometimes there's live music, all very relaxing and mellow for a good dinner. The wait staff is truly awesome, and the food is quick. I just hate dropping this to a 4 star review, but it's due to service, not the food. Stopped in for my usual carry out. Craving anchovies so I ordered Caesar salad (which they make to perfection) and a pizza with anchovies as 1 of the ingredients. Fast forward to 25 minutes later, after the carry out girl spent 15 minutes talking to the table next to me and she returns to say no anchovies, "people don't order them" - I asked if they could sub spinach. Um, she didn't know. Would have to ask. Meanwhile, table next to me (arrived later btw) received their food. None of this would have been an issue if carry out girl seemed to gaf. She could not care any less if she had to. I'll resort to phoning in my carry out orders and miss out on the comforting decor to avoid interactions with her in the future. read more

My husband would only give them 3 stars, but I am bumping it to 4 because I enjoyed my meal. He had the build your own pasta with fettuccine, Alfredo sauce, and grilled chicken. His Alfredo sauce was on the runny side and not very flavorful. I had the seafood manicotti. It was very cheesy and heavy, but it had good flavor. I would order it again. The salads were good with tomato and cheese, although I was disappointed there were no croutons. The blue cheese dressing didn't really taste like blue cheese, but it was good. We also had the bread and oil appetizer. We both would like to come back to try the calzones. read more

In town overnight for work. Passed by this place on the way to the hotel. Checked out the Yelp reviews and decided to give it a try. OMG! This place is DELICIOUS and some of the best Italian food I have ever eaten. Let's not forget our server Paul. He is such a gem. Very personable and attentive. You can tell he has a great love and appreciation for everything they do here. Just about EVERYTHING is made in house and you can definitely tell by the taste. If you ever find yourself in this area you just give this place a try. I wish I was in town longer as I would definitely come back every night for dinner. read more

We stopped here before catching a show at the Murphy theater in Wilmington. It had been on our list of things to try for a long while. A Mediterranean restaurant in this neck of the woods is unique and we were excited to hear about a restaurant that was serving something different near my husbands home town. What went well - we were seated quickly even though they were pretty busy. The spinach and artichoke dip was delicious. What went poorly- Unfortunately just about everything else. I wanted to love this place. I really did. Everything about it (other than the dip) fell pretty flat for me. To start with the name is Mediterranean but it's really just an Italian restaurant with gyros on the menu. Ok, ok... Italy is in the Mediterranean but I expected a little more than pasta and pizza. I got the French onion soup (too much sherry flavor, not enough beef flavor) and the Greek salad. The salad was just a bed of lettuce with generic deli ham, pepperoni, a few olives and some feta. The dressing was pretty good. My husband got the muffuletta - it was what I should have expected out of a muffuletta in Wilmington - a subpar sub with generic deli ham, salami and some ok olive spread. The service was less than stellar but not awful. The waiter was nice but a little forgetful. This place has so much potential! The area in Wilmington is cute - fun to walk around, see a concert at the Murphy and grab a few drinks in the area. I would love to see the Mediterranean update their selections with some authentic meat and cheese selections. I feel like they had a great idea but then thought they had to temper down the flavors to match what's already in the area or what they thought would appeal to the current local taste levels. Nothing here was inedible but nothing was great. There are tons of people in the area that would love something refreshing and different without driving to Cincinnati - but this place isn't it right now. I will say I am very picky about Italian food- I grew up in an area teeming with Italian American families that know how to cook and was never more than a stones throw away from a restaurant making some mean authentic sauce and all the Italian foods you could dream of. So, take my hard criticism with a grain of salt. read more

This small downtown restaurant has an Italian focused menu with some greek favorites. Beer and wine at nice prices. Our group had lasagna, seafood pasta, sausage and shimp pasta and penna parma rosa. The pizza was good and tasty, though not the very thin crust, fresh basil classic margharita pizza served all over Italy. In fact, I didn't know it was there for a good 6 months! If you're wanting pasta, like you know pasta, don't go here. They have a lot of dishes that are pretty dead on traditional actual Italian and Greek. You won't find spaghetti on this menu. (Ok you might but it won't be called that...) If I could go with negative star I will! The wine was ok and the spinach dip... however the pasta was not fresh!!! You could tell it was from frozen. The so called sweet tea was so watered down, you could see through it ! The servers did not wipe down the tables (our table was sticky) one server spilled water on the table and never cleaned it up! The bread sticks were hard as a rock, like when you microwave it. Confronted the server about it and she did not deny anything, but then coped and attitude with us. This place is fantastic. Having moved to the rural area surrounding Wilmington area over a year ago we could kick ourselves for not trying it out sooner. Three (3) visits recently in as many months and the place has been seriously special each time. Specifically the three cheese ravioli, french onion soup, sandwiches and pizza have been simply over the top. Very attentive friendly staff, hip vibe, with it background music, etc. be aware however that this place gets rolling with people for dinners on weekends and sometimes a wait is required! Yes. Eat here. Good, fresh food! Great service! Driving through Wilmington on a random April Thursday, heading home from the fab Hocking Hills hikes, we wanted to stop for lunch. Mostly chain spots in this town, save for this original and welcoming place. The decor is at once simple and inviting, with enough quirky touches, booths and warm central fire to make us glad we stopped. The menu has a large variety of Italian favorites, including gluten-free versions of many of them. Yay! I went for the falafel gyro. Beautiful and tasty! Several Aggie -sized falafel on a cushy bed of lettuce, tomato and taziki on pita. The muffuletta was huge and very good. Even the bun was fresh and just right. Can also recommend the Moroccan chickpea soup, (seasoned but not spicy) and the perfect onion rings. As good as this all was, what made our visit memorably pleasant was our efficient, professional and engaging server, Paul. He zipped energetically about the place, tending his customers, and really came to life when my husband ordered an IPA. He left a bit of trivia about the foam on the glass (called "brewer's lace") and had other gems on tap ()with each successive stop at our table. He was a regular fountain of knowledge.
