I was not asked how I wanted it prepared ... and it arrived well done and without sufficient searing. Not dry, but any longer on the heat and it would have been dry. Next time I will ask for medium rare. It was properly seasoned and had good beefy flavor. The veggies were fresh and crisp and the bun was properly toasted. I substituted a side salad for the french fries. It arrived with a small mountain of cheese ... and my first reaction was worry that maybe it was hiding olde, brown lettuce. Nope. It was an excellent salad! The service was excellent. Good teamwork by the two waitresses inspired that hot food, was served hot and they kept my water glass full. Will I return? Absolutely, yes! Stopped after a late night baseball game for a quick meal and was pleasantly surprised. Ordered the meat lovers pizza which was absolutely delicious and a large portion. Wife had the fish and chips and said it was great! Wait staff was prompt and polite. Atmosphere was laid back with a bar inside and an outdoor patio for those comfortable Ohio evenings. This was my first time going; my boyfriend and I were there. Service was not the greatest. I got a side tossed salad with tomatoes, cheese, and green peppers. I had bacon at the bottom of the salad. I also got wings, which were the tiniest little nuggets I've ever seen--smaller than McDonald's chicken nuggets. My boyfriend got the Skinny Boy burger, and he said it was great, along with the fried pickles. But I don't recommend this place if you are a tourist or trying to go out with family. Made a stop here for lunch while camping nearby at the state park! Try it, you won't be disappointed. The boneless wings were crunchy, nice breading and the hot sauce was nice and tangy! They gave us plenty of blue cheese and didn't have to pay extra like most places. My husband got fish tacos that had so much fish on them he could barely finish. We didn't touch the fries but they were thick cut and super hot. ( brought them back to our campsite for later ) the waitress was friendly and brought refills of our drinks and checked on us a lot. I'd give 4.5 stars if that was an option. Good bar food at a great price. No complaints about service but nothing exceptional. It was surprisingly busy for a weekday at 1pm. Guessing it's a favorite among locals, especially those interested in carrying out some beer. One of the two bar TVs was either broken or turned off. The other was showing HGtv. We recently purchased a permanent campsite down the road from 73 Grill so naturally we had to try it. Actually as of this writing we have eaten in twice and carried out twice. There is nothing special about the building or the decor inside. They don't seem to be going for any particular theme. But they do have a bar and a nice patio and serve beer and wine which helps a bunch. In fact, you can buy beer by the carton at a reasonable price and carry it out. Pretty handy I must say. The place is clean. That is the first thing I check out. No worries there. The second thing is the service and I must say, everybody was friendly. The gentlemen that served us was in the category of super friendly and well deserving of a nice tip which we delivered. He was there to serve and did just that with a smile and quick feet. People like that just make us want to show our appreciation because it is so rare these days. Wife got the Philly and I got BBQ wings. Wife loves the Philly and said she would definitely get it again although she lied and got the Reuben next time but that's okay. She liked that too. When I got my wings I was a little taken back because they didn't toss the wings in the sauce. They drizzled the sauce on the wings. I was actually a little disappointed until I realized it was much better because you can pick up a wing without getting sauce all over your fingers. Either way, they were tasty and I got them again on another visit. The hot pretzels and cheese were a highlight for me. Loved em and highly recommend them as an appetizer although all the appetizers we have tried so far have been good. A big part of their business seems to be pizza so we had to try one on another visit. Well, it was good but was just about like every other pizza I have tried in the Cincinnati area...a little under cooked in the middle and bland unless loaded with toppings. I don't know what it is about pizza in Cincinnati. It all tastes the same and the locals swear by their hometown spots but I haven't found one better than a 3.5 star so I don't hold anything against 73 Grill. I would order it again but like so many other Cincinnati pizza spots, if they would just spend a small amount of time improving the flavor profile, they could add a half to full star to the rating. After all, the crust was great, the cheese was real and fresh. The sauce though...that was bland. Nevertheless, I love the place and plan on revisiting time and time again. If you are ever close to SR 73 and I71, make a pit stop here and you will get a decent meal, friendly service and your moneys worth. read more

Clean and quickly served meals right off the interstate. Friendly staff with indoor and outdoor dining areas and adequate parking. Daily specials. Still have soups in the summer. Best thing is there are fresh bakery treats available at the bar, not made in house but local. They have Rice Krispy treats, buckeye balls and little baked pies... this was my highlight of the meal. Yum! They have homemade chicken salad that was extra tasty and not overloaded with mayonnaise. The chilli was not spicey, which is my preference. We stopped at this hole in the wall place & had lunch. We weren't expecting much because from the outside it is not much to look at. We shared the loaded fries which were tasty, although I'd of rather they had real cheese instead of fake, runny cheese. I got a chicken salad sandwich that came with chips & my husband got a burger. He really enjoyed his burger & I really liked the house made chicken salad. In addition they had cold beer on tap & bottled beer in the cooler case. The ambiance was bright and inviting, servers and staff were extremely nice, and food was amazing! The Fat Boy Burger is delicious and definitely worth the price, and their pizza is one of the best I've had in a while. Im pretty picky when it comes to sausage toppings, but we got sausage on ours and it was the super good crumbly kind. It was loud when we were there in a homey sort of way, and there was music playing. Nothing bad, but I could see the atmosphere being overwhelming to someone with sensory issues. The bathrooms were nice and clean, and so was the whole place. I'm not from around here and probably wont be back up this way until next year after this weekend, but it's definitely somewhere I'd come back to! 1000% recommend. read more

They were fresh and hot, I would've liked a little more bacon and for the cheese to be a little warmer on them but overall they hit the spot. Wife had the Bob Lives On hoagie. Great Country Restaurant. They work hard and have a nice menu. All American! They have a full cooler for takeout drinks. They have a good selection of my favorite Cutwater drinks. Lime Margarita is a favorite. "Real cocktails made with real spirits they say." I really like them. I first discovered them in San Diego. Never thought I'd see their products here a few miles from my house. I like their fish and chips. I like their side salad with little cubes of green pepper. Nice. This is an odd place, for sure. Looks like an abandoned convienent store and well, I think it is. There are coolers inside stuffed with lots of beers. There are beer taps and basically a kitchen. Kind of a cool idea. Especially since there is nothing else around. I could see where this would be a neat place to eat for locals. The food was good. In fact, even better than good. But I took away two stars because of the service. It was slow- the place was not crowded and the waitress was standoffish and cold. I didn't mind that the waitress took our dinner to the table across from us but when she realized her mistake, I watched her take it back up to the window, sit it down....pause....pick it up and bring it to us. lol. Why carry it across the room? Just turn around and hand it to us, lol. Anyhoo, this place is what it is. Stopped by here while in Ohio, and it was a hidden treasure! I got their soup of the day which was the chicken and rice soup and it was the best even had sliced avocados on top! It was so good I wish I hadn't just ordered a cup. I also got their raspberry vinaigrette chicken salad. We also got their signature fat boy burger with fries and the Italian sub. Everything was finished because everything came out exceeding our expectations with hearty helpings. The only negative I can speak of is because they are a dainty mom and pop restaurant they had two servers on the floor but they managed nicely. read more
