Arrived at around 1:30pm on Wed 9/24 with no one else in the place. Waitress was clearly not interested in customer service. Not rude, just not kind or engaging. Took 5 minutes for her to come over and 30 more minutes to get a Patty Melt and Reuban. Asked for the Patty Melt to be cooked "medium" and fries "well done". Burger came "well done" and fries were regular cook. I knew they didn't even try because the fries for my friend were cooked exactly the same and he didn't ask for "well done". I knew from the way the waitress was acting that she wasn't even going to relay my requests to the back. But if she did, the cook could not be bothered. Reuban was average at best according to my friend. I said it looked "anemic! We didn't complain or send anything back. I debated telling her about it on the way out the door, but she never bothered asking how everything was... which was no surprise. She clearly couldn't have cared less. Ambiance and cleanliness not bad at all. Place still sucks! Won't be back and recommend others to skip this place. read more

Best fried cod platter in town with 2 homemade sides at a most reasonable price. Outstanding handmade burgers with extras, toppings and 2 sides. Exceptional soup and homemade chile. Service is most kind. They welcome you and inquire if you have been away. 1-2 homemade pies like my mother in law made: coconut cream and peanut butter. Let me start with Donna behind the bar. She was welcoming and receptive to the unique needs our group had during our visit. We happened to be there during a karaoke night. For what it's worth, the punters had some of the best signing voices I've heard outside of my church. We ordered the chicken salad, which was lovely and not at all like the chicken had been poached. Came in about 7:30 on a Friday evening, saw it was busy and I totally understand places being understaffed and that it would take a while. No problem. Sat for about 10 minutes, no one came up to greet us while the waitress repeatedly visited the tables around us multiple times. Still, no problem. I understood. Next time she came by I asked if we could get some menus. She brought them to us, and took our drink order for 2 waters and we ordered an appetizer. The appetizer came out and we still hadn't received our drinks. Wouldn't have been a problem had the waitress at least noticed she hadn't gotten us our drinks and told us she'd get them. Kinda figured she was going to grab them after she dropped our appetizer, but I was wrong. Ate our entire appetizer without drinks. A gentleman who had been working behind the bar happened to walk by, and I mentioned to him our waitress was very busy and hadn't grabbed us our waters yet, and requested if he could please bring them to us. He said yes, but never brought them to us. At this point it was getting fairly frustrating since we had asked multiple people but were remaining patient because again, we understood how it is. Next time the waitress came by we asked if they carried seltzers, to which she responded yes. We asked to get one plus our waters. She brought the seltzer back in quite a prompt manner, but again, we received no waters. At this point we accepted we would be without water the whole time. All good, we knew the food would make up for everything to that point, once we finally got to order it. Wrong again. It was a full hour after we ordered entrees that we started getting really ancy. This wouldnt have been a problem had the waitress at least made an effort to let us know it was taking a little longer than expected and that it would be ready soon. Instead, she visited the table beside us at least 6 or 7 times while totally ignoring us. I tried to stand up by the bar and ask the gentleman working behind there the status of our food but he never came up to me. At this point we just decided to pay for what we had consumed and leave. Close to 75 minutes after we had ordered, our food was brought out while we were in the futile process of trying to ask our waitress for the check. The lady who brought our food out I guess had been cooking, and she was so sweet. We had ordered a chicken salad sandwich with no bacon and it, guess what, came out with bacon. We told her that we had to leave because we were in a bit of a time crunch that we had not anticipated and do not eat bacon, which we had told the waitress when we ordered our food. That's when the real problem occurred. Our waitress oversaw the cook dropping our food off and us declining it because we needed to get going. Instead of coming up and at least offering to try to do something to compensate for our long wait, she hung back and got her coat on because I suppose she was ready to leave. She left the cook, who again was such a nice lady and felt genuinely bad about the whole thing, to go get our check for us. The poor woman said "I'm so sorry, please come back" when she dropped it off. Never once did our waitress come up and say a thing to us. I have seen effort and the lack thereof, and the utter lack of effort we experienced from someone who we were trying to give our money was alarming. Absolutely do not recommend going there on a weekend. read more

This is definitely a hidden gem. We were staying at a hotel that was near there and picked it out of a hat. Linda is great friends with I believe her name is Carol, the owner. Linda is the bartender. The food was delicious fresh homemade by Carol who is also the cook. We had marvelous sandwiches a nice refreshing adult beverage and enjoyed some fun conversation. I definitely recommend that you check this out. We are back home now, but if I ever travel through Lexington again I'll stop there. read more

Walked in here tonight and met Jenny, a long time patron and she introduced me to Elliot and Josh - who amongst are great cooks, are the best bartenders. Clearly I've seen too many episodes of Drive Ins, Diners & Dives because I was expecting so much more. Stopped in for a quick lunch. I had the grilled chicken salad. The grilled chicken appeared to be poached not grilled and had no seasoning that I could either taste or see. The salad part had no component that you couldn't find topping a taco at taco bell (bagged lettuce, diced tomatos and a little cheese). I'm not above saying that maybe I ordered the wrong thing, and I could have, but the reason for the poor star rating was the diet pepsit was nasty in a way that said to me that they don't clean their soda gun. When I mentioned it and stopped drinking it, they still charged me for it and didn't really seem to care. That's a felony for a bar in my opinion. This must be my day for bad reviews. I walked over to this joint after dinner to see what was up with the karaoke and if the NASCAR race was on TV. Lucky me they were both happening! It is just your standard strip mall dive. Some folks were playing poker. Others were singing and others were hanging out. But everyone was getting their drink on so might as well jump on in there and join 'em! Some quirky characters hanging out in there which is the cornerstone of any awesome dive. Before my friends got there I had already sang one song. The karaoke dj keeps you in the rotation after singing so just keep turning in songs if you want to continue rocking out! And I did want. I think I sang almost 10 songs by the time the night was over. The best part was that my two friends and I were the last ones there and they just let us sing at whim, whatever we wanted. Like your own private karaoke party! So come early and stay late and get your karaoke jams rocking! read more

My husband took me to my appointment with my Doctor yesterday. We asked the staff about a good place to o for lunch after the appointment, and they all recommended Beaumont Bar & Grille, highly. They said the chili with a grilled cheese sandwich was wonderful, and it definitely is a delicious combo. Our server was such a sweet lady, and she took wonderful care of us. Went to watch the U.K. UNC basketball game yesterday with friends. Sat at the bar and was waited on immediately. When the waitress came over to take our food order she gets down to me and as I am about to say something she walks off. She never comes back to take my order but came back to refill my friends drinks multiple times while my drink was sitting empty. Worst service I have ever gotten from anyone anywhere. read more

Owner Jack is a raging drunk. Gets drunk and throws out good paying customers for no reason. Been going there for over two years on poker nights. Always buying food/drinks and tipping well. On 2/10/17, he grabbed my girlfriends I phone which was plugged into an outlet, and walked off with it. We had no idea he had taken it or who had it. I went to let him know that someone had taken it. He informed me that he was "protecting" the phone. He knew it was hers, but had a problem with us having a phone plugged in and sitting on one table (where the only outlet is), and us sitting at the next table over beside the DJ because we were singing Karaoke. The bar was practically empty, but he was drunk, and complained that no one could use that table because a phone was sitting on it. So we moved back over to the table it was sitting on, and he AGAIN grabbed the phone AND my jacket and started walking off with both! Then turned around and said "Get the fuck out!" We had a bar tab for 4 double drinks, which he was too drunk to realize we had. So I asked him if he wanted our money first before he threw us out, and he said "Yeah, pay for your fucking drinks, and get the fuck out". I paid him the last dollar he will ever get from us.
