Chicken pesto sandwich and cream of mushroom soup
    Stephanie G.

I've always loved Azurs beautiful patio so I was excited to try it out after reopening with the new chef. I dined with a large group and ordered the grilled chicken pesto sandwich with cream of mushroom soup. It tasted really good but the sandwich was hard to eat because it was so big. That's not a bad thing though as the large size allowed me to have leftovers to take home. The service was good too.

Great food and great atmosphere. Only 3 stars due to service. Server was very friendly, outgoing and knowledgeable. We however sat at our table for over 5 mins before being acknowledged and given at least waters. The entire restaurant may have had 20 tables seated (in/outside). Manager stood at the bar the entire time we were there and did nothing to assist the wait staff.

Some of the best craft cocktails in Lexington! Gail and Bethany are great bartenders. Technically talented and very engaging. The bar wraps around from indoors to outside on the patio. Live music is offered Friday and Saturday night from 7-10PM. Matt Castle is outstanding! Ben Lacy and other top notch talent appear regularly. Also, the Bourbon Fried Chicken is to die for! There are several good choices for dining and they offer specials to change it up. I

Great food and atmosphere! Gale's service is amazing every time I come in by far my favorite in town.

First time here... my husband & I joined a party of 11 to celebrate a friend's birthday. The server was nice but too young to offer alcoholic drink suggestions. She was attentive. BUT CAN WE PLEASE NOT BE GIVEN UNWRAPPED STRAWS FROM BARE HANDS!!!! Sangria was refreshing. Tried out truffle fries for our appetizer, delicious! Hubby got the Waygu bacon cheeseburger and fries, and he was pleased. I got the Seafood Risotto. Portions were huge. The presentation was a little sloppy. What I tasted was enjoyable, but I couldn't finish after the appetizer. No complaints from the table. The manager dropped by to check on us, a nice touch. My low rating is coming from today when I ate my leftovers...found a piece of ceramic in my food!!! After paying close to $100 for two (with automatic gratuity added...not a problem, server cannot be held accountable for kitchen errors) I'm extremely disappointed.

Citrus Crusted Salmon with Garlic Whipped Potatoes

I went on a Saturday night around 8:30PM and it wasn't busy at all. They do have an outdoor section if you choose but I opted for indoors. My friend ordered a couple cocktails and found them to be decent but wasn't overly excited about them. I tried them and wasn't a fan BUT I rarely like any alcoholic beverages so take that how you will. I ordered the pork chop which they asked me how I wanted it cooked. Apparently it took me 32 years to realize you can order pork how you order steak (medium rare, medium, etc.). I chose well done for my ease of mind and even at well done it wasn't dry. The Brussel sprouts were crispy and could have used more seasoning but I was pleased. The max and cheese was good! The salmon was well seasoned and has this sweet sauce on it which went well with the salmon but I wasn't a fan of it mixed with the potatoes. I would have preferred the salmon with the sauce to the side instead of over the potteries but they potatoes were very good! The atmosphere was fairly quiet compared to a lot of other places but it wasn't busy. I found the service slow and I thought he food took longer than it should have. My mac and cheese was just barely warm by the time it got to me while other items were hot. Pork Chop 7.5/10 Salmon 8/10 Overall a good experience and good food. There were several items I wanted to try so I would return.

    Woven Shrimp over Corn Risotto
    Lisa J.

5 stars for an outstanding dining experience at Azur! I had the Woven Shrimp served over corn risotto (see photo). It was delicate and flavorful--and something I could never make at home. Others at the table had the Pork Chop (thick and perfectly cooked), Seafood Risotto (delicious and able to be customized) and the Pot Roast special. Our service was spot-on... And the atmosphere was lively on a dreary night. Highly recommend. We'll be back!

Hi what is the typical dress code, is it post game friendly or more business casual?

I ordered the burger without the bun or fries, and it was so overly salty that I struggled to finish it. My wife had the CACIO de PEPE, which tasted quite different from what we're used to, and the pasta was overcooked for our liking. My brother-in-law ordered the fish tacos, which were easily the standout dish at the table. My sister's chicken cesar salad was decent but nothing particularly memorable. The restaurant itself feels a bit unexpected for a rural setting, which may help explain its strong ratings. For me, though, it's not a place I'd go out of my way to visit again--more of a "fine if someone else suggests it" kind of spot.

The atmosphere is super cozy and we felt welcomed from our first steps in. We were warmly greeted by the hostess and we met Michaela who took fabulous care of us for the evening! We settled in to a couple of their specialty cocktails (midwinters night dream and cardamaro manhattans - yummy I'll say) and the Brussel Sprout starter. Let me say to come hungry because the portions are large but yummy. The sprouts are a meal all by themselves! But there's more! I had the porcini rubbed filet and Teresa had the cabbage confit. Both portions were sizable and while I know she loved her cabbage, I was in heaven with a perfectly prepared filet that just melted in my mouth. Plus the asparagus spears and the Okinawa sweet potato mash were perfect accompaniment! Sadly, there was so much goodness we ended up bringing some home and we'll have to come back for dessert and another menu sampling. All in all a very memorable experience and a great place for a birthday dinner! But we'll be back just because! Special closing shout out to Michaela for taking such great care of us.

We were planning to go to Panda Cuisine after this, but we all got too full. Gonna try again soon. I also learned about eating the skin on a baked potato when I ate here. Never heard that you could do that before. But this news was welcome because it meant more potato to enjoy! Got some bread puddin to top it all off. There were a lot of jokes and stories told. My one friend loves telling the story of A&W from undergrad. When we went to Kroger and got lost with all our bags of food. Those plastic bags were snapping left and right. Everyone had a giggle at that one. Then we debated the best way to make banana puddin. One guy said something about putting creamed cheese in it. That was Cheese. He also uses Lorna Doone cookies in it. Huh? Our other friend ordered "stewed tomatoes." All in all, I would rate this experience relatively highly. Some people criticize me for "handing out" 5-star reviews on here, but it is not true. Check my profile. I'm hard to please. But Merrick in was my pleasure. I'd come here again and stuff. I guess you could say I gave this place one star for every guy in our party. We're all 5-star guys for the most part, but we'll donate those stars to Merick Inn, giving them my first 5-Star review since I don't know when!

Alicia W provided exceptional service and was a joy to talk to. We tried the caviar and duck rilletes to share. The rilletes were the only thing we thought we could have done without. The duck is a bit rich and stringy and the bread really detracted from the dish - too hard and chewy. That said, the portions of each were very generous. Next we had the aguachile and corzetti with garlic scape pesto. The shrimp reminded me of ceviche as far as flavor profile. The pasta was unique from our perspective - never had corzetti. Both dishes were very good. Next was the salad as we do not like beets or gazpacho. Nice fresh salad with a dressing that was better than a typical vinaigrette. For mains we had the duck and the ribeye. Duck was prepared perfectly and the ribeye had a pesto and the patatas braves with accompanying (mild) chili sauce was a nice side addition. Very Espana!! Couldn't finish the steak by that point but enjoyed it a few days later. And finally the cheesecake and chocolate hazelnut choux pastry. The pastry was awesome!!
