I'd like to start by saying that we had not eaten here before. We reserved a room for my daughter's first birthday. They were incredible. I was worried about the noise level but once the doors were closed the sound didn't come through. We even were able to play a film on the tv thanks to the tireless efforts of Casey who worked his butt off to get it hooked up. We told him that we didn't need it (it was just going to be a nice touch to fit the theme) but he got it working! The food was great, the service amazing, and the entire event went perfect. They have a partnership with a local baker who was in constant contact with me and delivered everything to the Cellar ahead of time. I highly recommend this venue for anyone who would like to have a private event. They will go above and beyond for you. read more

We absolutely love the cellar! It is such a great place no matter the occasion. We love the food and the incredible variety their menu offers. Also, brunch on weekend is awesome too--love the breakfast burrito! There are too many favorite foods on their menu but some go-to's: chicken wings, CBR fries, chicken salad, burger, chicken fingers, beer cheese, onion rings, I could go on. Awesome patio, live music multiple nights a week (check schedule). The service is impeccable and we have grown to love many employees over the years! Highly recommend. Great casual dining spot. Attached to The Signature Club, The Cellar offers your standard average bar food. During the summer months when the pool is open it can be tough to find a parking spot. There are plenty of TVs and seating- a good place to watch a game! The menu is pretty extensive which is nice. The food is fine! Nothing spectacular but definitely not bad. read more

I eat here semi often since this is a convenient meeting place for other people. However i've completely given up on finding anything edible here. It's too bad because it's a nice sports bar with lots of good sports and tons of seating. But the food. Last thing I got was chicken salad on "croissant bread". Any similarity to a croissant anywhere on this planet was the color of the bread. The bread was basic white bread sort of toasted and gummy. The bacon was STONE COLD. ru kidding me?? the chicken salad had onions. I'm not a fan of onions in chicken salad to begin with but the chicken salad was completely tasteless except for the onions. Other things i have gotten ... fish tacos sliders salads also were just yuck. I had a pretty good hamburger once but was sick the next day and suspected it was the burger so won't get again. Get it together The Cellar! Just make a tiny effort like warming up the bacon and don't fictionalize the menu with made up things like croissant bread. read more

A lexington staple. We love going to the cellar! The food is always delicious and they have tons of options. The service is top notch! They have a large outdoor patio great for relaxing and enjoying a pretty day and also tons of indoor seating. The CBR fries are a MUST. I've had almost everything on the menu and there isn't a thing I have disliked. The prices are also very reasonable and portions are very large and an incredible value. Also a great spot to watch any sports games as they have lots of TVs. Huge bar. Also have private room available to book for larger parties-- you just have to call & reserve it in advance. I've been coming to the Cellar for years as it's just down the street from me. The Cellar is a cute little gem of a place with great food, great prices on food and drinks and huge TVs for games. My favorite meal from here is their Chicken & Parmesan Bow tie pasta. Today I opted for a few snacks with my bear: Lobster bisque (delicious) and some veggies with ranch. All staff here have always been wonderful. So glad this place is down the street from my home. read more

We had a group of 15 in one of the small private rooms. Management could not have been more cooperative at the smallest request. The setting was beautiful overlooking the beautiful patio. First time here. Party of four and everything was alright, not great, not horrible. Just alright. This was a three star experience but raised to four because the black bean burger and sweet potato fries were yummy and our server, Nicki, was fabulous. Skip the beer cheese and the hot brown. Spinach dip is what you'd expect and the salmon was dry but the bourbon glaze helped. Overpriced for the quality of food but the portions are huge so you pay a lot for a lot of alright food. read more

To start of The Cellar Bar & Grille is connected to a pool that is always packed and it is very hard to find a parking spot during the summer. Next the service there is not great it takes a long time to get seated and get your food that isn't even worth the wait. Yet the inside is quite nice when it is quiet. Over all i would not recommend there are better places to eat. read more

Just returned from The Cellar. Don't let looks deceive ya (in a good way). From the outside, this place looks like a fancy-smancy place. Inside, ton of TV's - - - great outdoor seating, and indoors are just as simple as a bar & grill (given the name). Dad & I had burgers and onion rings - good choice. Burgers were quality meat and perfectly cooked. Allison was our server, she was very friendly, gave us the run down on the bar & grill area, the special rooms (Bourbon Room) - the upstairs that host parties/weddings, etc. I'd highly recommend this place and will return. read more

My God, this place was an very dissapointing. Everything I tried was just awful and greasy and doesn't taste good. I am just speechless , I tried the spinach dip, the crab dip, the boom shrimp , lobster bisque and salmon spinach salad. I literally couldn't eat more than one bite of all the dishes, they just tasted awful and greasy. The spinach salad is the only thing that was ok but it's really hard to mess up a salad. I will never be ordering from this place again. The lobster bisque was tasteless , the spinach dip was very salty and covered in rubbery layer of cheese, the boom shrimp was disgusting, not fried right and tastes terrible. Just awful, I would invest in a new cook. read more

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place already. This became my main happy hour place when I lived in Lexington. The staff is so friendly, and the atmosphere makes it great to just hang out or, especially, for a UK game. I have tried a lot of the items on the menu and have been happy with the majority of them. My favorites are the chicken tenders, quesadillas, the beer cheese burger, and their salads (especially with their ranch dressing). I was not a huge fan of their club wrap (just pretty bland) and the beer cheese app. I highly recommend this place! When I visit Lexington, I am always looking for a way to come back here! read more

Came here to celebrate a coworker's farewell. Reservations were available for a large party, which is excellent for those who need a place to celebrate and watch sports, celebrate, and eat at the same time. There is a bar on the center, so it does get loud. There are many tv's for your viewing pleasure and they can change the channel to whatever you want to watch. Food is good- I highly recommend the tots/fries, which is dressed with everything delicious! I got the buffalo chicken dip as well- I wish it came with veggies as well, but you could ask for them on the side. I enjoyed my wedge salad. The lobster bisque was not to my liking, but they were great about taking it off the check. Service was slow- I wish they had two waiters to help accommodate such a large party, but she did a good job considering. read more

Everything we had was great and came out at the perfect temperature, servers were awesome and exactly as present as we needed them to be. I love the Cellar food. Seriously. It's delicious. But their service structure sucks. The servers/ kids are young which isn't an issue, but my experience that can also translate into a lack of urgency on their part. (I live and breath the service industry so I get it.) On top of this, they have a "seat yourself" policy which can lead a lot of customers to just sit there and not get waited on for a much longer than usual time. Especially on busy weekend nights, I have slipped through the service cracks multiple times coming here. I just think it would help to have a hostess to alert the servers when they have a table. The servers are kind and attentive when you can actually get their attention, but their seating system sucks. read more

This is one of the best and most common places in town to hold a group dinner event. Yesterday was the first day that I ordered food, other than the appetizers that we've ordered as a group. I had the turkey avocado wrap and I was satisfied. The food is mostly upscale appetizers and burgers around the $10 range. In the summer or warmer months, the patio area often has a band or someone singing and playing a guitar. In the winter months, parking isn't an issue. I do not get cell phone service down there in the cellar. read more

After having a great couple visits to The Cellar for lunch, my wife and I decided to head back for dinner this past weekend. What a difference (and not a good one)! Granted we popped in on a UK game night, but not a good experience. Service was super slow and our server was very inattentive. Our burgers (the Cellar Burger) were over cooked. We ordered medium and my wife's burger had no pink and mine had very little. The tater tots and sweet potato fries were ok, but we can get them almost anywhere. I'm downgrading my rating from 5 to 2 stars, mostly because of the service. Not sure if we'll be back. If we do go back, it will probably be for lunch. read more
