these people are the best I have been to the offices there several times as a follow up to an amputation that they did from an auto acc . I was hit by an uninsured motorist so my leg was smashed and left dangling and they came to the hosp and saved my life knowing that it was paying nothing. I did eventually get them something through the ssi but that waas nothing. Now I go and try to ask them f I could help them in some way to repay them and was quickly told I did not do it for that and i won't have it again . So my saviours are always on call so remember that if you have to wait on them for some reason they may have been up all night in surgery . So I had to do something so I sneak in his lobby on my scooter every now and then and give flowers to the patiants and staff and say they are from him and leave ... so 10 stars for this place read more

I called to get an appointment for a Doctor to look at my knee. I called the main number and was transferred to the accounting department. They told me I had a balance of less than $100. So I said " So you won't make an appointment for me until I pay this?" She replied "Yes"! This is exactly why people go to Houston..... read more

Save yourself the drama and RUDE treatment from employees and just go to Houston! A few of doctors are polite and professional and even have great bed side manner. However, you'll have to deal with many cold, unprofessional and downright rude schedulers, receptionists and medical assistants before you get to the actual doctor. My mother was seen by Dr. Kergosien for a shoulder accident and replacement. He's great! His staff...not so much! Since her original surgery in July 2020 my mother has repeatedly been treated poorly by the staff and even I received a call from a horribly rude woman asking why my mother missed her check-up appointment. I explained to her that my mother was still in the hospital as the doctors ordered her to be kept for 3 weeks. This idiot woman said to me "WELL WHY ISN'T THE HOSPITAL GOING TO TRANSPORT HER FOR HER APPOINTMENT?!?!" I again told her that she was still in the hospital! I hung up on her as she began to raise her voice in another question again. I assumed they figured out why at that point that St. Elizabeth wasn't bringing her to that appointment. Today, my mother was scolded by one of Dr. Kergosien's staff which said to her "YOU ARE ALWAYS LATE!!!" To which my mom replied "I waited 40 minutes after finding a parking place and having to be brought in my own wheelchair by my home health staff as there is no one to valet or assist with my wheelchair...at a medical office!" (I've told my mother multiple times that Houston medical offices will valet her car after helping her into her wheelchair and assisting her into the building...for free.) That's what medical offices SHOULD do! These people get away with this treatment because they have not been stopped! They're the only game in town so they know that unless you're willing to seek better care in elsewhere, then they can continue to treat you as poorly as they'd like. They continue to get paid. The doctors continue to get paid and it's chalked up to "it's just Beaumont." That is true. It is just Beaumont! Poor treatment from unprofessional, ignorant, small town, rude staff that knows no boundaries. Once again, the two doctors we met were great! You just need to ask yourself how badly you are willing to be treated prior to seeing the doctors. I definitely do not recommend seeking treatment here. 90 miles to an all around better experience! read more

Was scheduled for surgery, on the table, dr comes up to me and says he's not going to do it. The day before, they kept me an extra hour and made me an hour late for an important appointment. Doctor was very nice guy but the person that did the cast on my foot was the worst she's super rude and aggressive she has no respect for what people go through I wish I can slap her! I have had excellent (non-surgical) care from Dr. Currie on several occasions. He is a gifted , compassionate surgeon and has a caring bedside manner as well as a sense of humor. I have many friends who have had surgical care with Dr. Currie at Beaumont Bone and Joint Institute with positive experiences and successful surgical results. read more

By most accounts I should not have a foot. The heel was shattered, two breaks just below the ankle, dislocated forward, and almost severed from my leg. Due to the skill of their surgeon Dr. Daniel Thompson, it looks like I will eventually walk without a limp. I don't even have any metal or implants of any kind in my foot. Can't thank them enough. It is also nice that their scheduling is great. I am usually in and out for checkups in less than 45 minutes. read more

As I get older I see a lot of elderly people being taken advantage of but I think that DR THOMPSON AT BONE AND JOINT IS A Quack my Mom went to him in April of last year she needed a red put in her Femur and 2 screws one in her hip and 1 in her knee, DR THOMPSON told her she would have to get the other leg done eventually, Well the leg he operated on is killing her so she went back this Tuesday and he told her that he was releasing her because if she wasn't going to do the leg he was done, She told him that the leg he operated on hurt so bad that if she did the left leg she would not be able to walk she asked if she could have some Arteries medication and he said no she didn't need it this man fixed one problem and crated another three Doctors know that they are the only one in this area so they don't take care of their people, So if you don't want to waste your money don't go to BONE and Joint read more

I double fractured my right elbow and Dr.Risk fixed me up as soon as the next day he took care of my injury without payment straightforward because he knew I was in pain. The best people are there so kind and helpful I recommend coming here if you ever hurt yourself to a point of surgery or just to find the solution to your problem.Nurse Wendy is the kindest and helped my my mom set up my surgery appointment couldn't have asked for a smoother and easier time. read more

Doctor Darryl Blalock looked me in the eyes and told me nothing was wrong with me, to take some ibuprofen and that was "as good as it gets", He even told me I could go home and use my arm all I wanted and there was NOTHING he could do for me, knowing different , I went to pick up my medical report. Have experience with many of the orthopedic surgeons at this practice. Each doctor has a high level of technique and skill. They seem to keep very up-to-date with equipment (ie. digital x-ray) in the office. Office staff is friendly and very helpful. Sometimes they are very busy, so be prepared to wait a little while during those times. I have been able to make appointment times convenient to me as well. read more

If there were stars with negatives in front of them, I would be happy to give (-)5 stars. The front office people are a joke. They are lazy, rude, unprofessional and just plain stupid. There are no call reminders. If you want to get a spot if someone cancels, You have to call them. OH! And good luck with that..because after approximately 4 minutes and 32 seconds on hold, you will get the answering machine-which they obviously never check because they never and I mean Never call you back. Oh and don't even Think about cancelling your appointment and rescheduling..You will be lucky if you get an appointment within the month. You know, it's only pain, right? Apparently BB&J doesn't care because there have been nothing but complaints about this place and yet they continue to turn a blind eye. The only reason I can figure is because they are the only one of their kind in this area. Well, I can assure you as well as just about everyone else who has had the absolute DISpleasure of dealing with this place that the drive to Houston is worth it. Please PLEASE stay away.
