The director DID NOT CARE - about any of this and straight told me the nurse lied about sending labs. If I could give minus zero stars I would. Run in the other direction.

The care my mother received was outstanding. The staff was caring and made an effort to get to know my Mom. The provided me a wealth of information to help my Mom. Their cooperation was particularly valuable since I was coordinating her care from thousands of miles away before I could get back to Michigan and help her move in to Sunrise. Everyone from the sales staff to the care givers were first rate. I cannot recommend this facility with any higher rating. If I was not moving my mother to Washington to be closer to me, she would have been a permanent resident at Sunrise. Lovely place!

I'm a medical professional and after doctors told everyone that this 87-year-old woman would never walk again, this place got her up and walking. She had been paralyzed from the neck down. Also, people actually seem to happy to be working here and not overwhelmed. I never saw residents so happy before and I've had many clients at many different facilities. They had a lot of activities for the clients to do as well for everybody no matter what level they were. Nobody got to just stay in their rooms! They had things I had never seen or even heard of being offered anywhere else. They are also very kind and professional and grateful to any outside help that came in whether the family hired the person or they were just there volunteering. Other facilities have been very hostile. They also encourage religious beliefs here where other places even so-called religious places are actually very hostile towards anything religious. People are also humble here they are not so full of themselves. I'm glad to see that the prices have come down some it was $10,000/mo for my patient and family still needed to hire me but of course she was for lack of a better way of putting it, a very unusual type of patient in addition to being paralyzed from the neck down. She was great though And it was my honor to be able to assist her. I'm a hard one to impress in this place did it.

We were fortunate to find Maple Manor as a place where he could do his rehab with the care of an excellent staff over-seeing him 24/7. We were at Maple Manor for almost 3 straight months and we can't say enough positive things. The nurses were consistently knowledgeable, helpful and extremely kind to my father. At no point, did we ever see anyone "having a bad day" and taking it out on my father. They were the utmost professionals. The nurses were very intelligent, always had a smile on their face and consistently made sure my father was comfortable and happy. I should also note that they were always nice and welcoming to my mother who stayed with my father every day. The physical therapists and occupational therapists are also top notch. Not only were they kind and patient, but they did great work with my father. I can't recommend them enough. The staff at the facility were always accommodating and went out of their way to make sure my father's needs were taken care of. Whether it was people at the back office, front desk or the janitorial staff, everyone did a wonderful job. Any time we had a suggestion or complaint it was immediately addressed. Finally, Dr. JJ and Dr. Stella were amazing to work with. They really treated my parents like extended family. Thank you so much to everyone at Maple Manor. Her professional demeanor and kindness put me at ease as dad is unable to advocate for himself due to pre-dementia. Through out his stay I was impressed with the nurses' care for him , and sincerity of Ms.Love in engaging him in activities. The facility is clean and the staff attentive. After his discharge, Ms. Davis called to share that we left a few of his items. Ms. Davis knowing his inability to leave home went the extra step and delivered the items to my family .

On February 3, 2026, my husband went to Manor of Farmington Hills for respite care, to specifically…read morereceive treatment from wound care for his legs. The first day there my daughter and I stayed with him at the facility for nine hours during this time the nursing assistant came into the room once and this was after I inquired who would be taking care of him. I was told by the RN that the nursing assistant would come into the room every two hours to check if her patients needed any assistance. The man in the room with my husband kept screaming for his diaper to be changed. I returned to the facility the next morning at 9:00am my husband's bed was soiled from his legs draining and his bandages hadn't been changed. The only cover he had on him was a throw that I had brought from home. I was told that he urinated on the floor and soiled his blanket, I had warned the staff that he'd try and get out of bed to go to the restroom, I was also told that he had become combative with the two female staff (not spitting or hitting) but wouldn't follow instructions. A male staff member was called to his room. My husband said the male staff was mean to him with words, to which he told him my circumstance is bad, but I'm still a man. After this he stated the man was nicer. When I asked about his linen being changed and his bandages changed the RN told me wound care, and the nursing assistant would come and take care of him. I was concerned about the lack of attention he was getting and requested hospice to transport him back home. His wounds weren't being taken care of and there was no respite care for me if I was staying with him at the facility, and worried about his care while at home. Administration came to talk to me and asked if he could stay an additional day for them to show the level of care they could provide. I told her in two days the level of care was evident, and I know how mean people can get when a complaint has been filed. I wasn't willing to sacrifice my husband's comfort under the staff's wrath. To solidify my response the RN came into his room fifteen minutes before the EMT arrived to change his bandage. So that was 9:00am to 2:15 pm that his bed was soiled, his bandages on his leg were heavily soiled. I didn't see the nursing assistant at all this day and never met anyone from wound care. When the EMT arrived at 2:30pm they commented on the holes in the wall next to his bed, and his wet bed. I warn anyone thinking about taking family to this facility, they seemed nice, but your loved ones won't get the attention they deserve.

Members of our family visited her or called her at least 6 times a week when she was in Assisted Living and almost daily when she was in Memory Care. I became familiar with the staff and administration and the routines and we worked together to take care of Mom. A person with dementia requires patience and understanding and alot of interaction. Hourly check-ins by a staff member keeps track of care, if a resident is in their apartment.

They do not dispute the services with us. The activity director promised several times to send us payment for our services and has not followed through. The executive director, regional administrator and the activity director have blamed the lack of payment on their corporate office. Supposedly, they are going to correct the situation, but they have not done so for months. This must justify why they are totally unable to get small invoices paid, do not follow through about providing an answer about sending payments and then do not send us payment. Are they having financial issues generally? Who knows. This is a disservice to the elderly who live there as well as to the honest vendors who provided them with services.

Right before I walked in to meet Raena, the community specialist, for the first time, I said to my sister, who accompanied me, "I have a good feeling about this place." And I was right! Raena was knowledgeable, friendly and thorough. She answered all of our questions and made us feel comfortable. The community is clean and relaxed and visually appealing. But more importantly is the culture of the facility. I witnessed employees joking around with each other more than once! They were happy at work - imagine that! The residents were happy as well, and both the employees and residents were welcoming to my sister and me who were strangers on a tour. The community has activities every single day, a doctor that visits once a week, a hair salon, game rooms, meal service, laundry service, a 24 hour receptionist and I could go on and on. On move in day we were all a little nervous, but my family member was welcomed with open arms and that welcome has not stopped yet! I can honestly say that she is getting personalized attention (and love) from the staff and all of the residents have been so very kind and encouraging to her. Mary (Community Liason) has been an asset to getting my family member settled. She has honestly gone above and beyond and is still, 3 months later, helping my family member adjust.
