Our main nurse, an angel walking amongst us, Jessica, was an absolutely crucial support, advocate and friend to both those of us attempting to navigate the horrible life at Regency and to our dear friend who had to live it 24/7. We fought beside these people for our friends care, and I know they were in it to win it beside us. The pure care Jessica showed my friend taught me so much and it helped me get through it all. Michael, a volunteer with Residential was such a gift. He just showed up one day while I was visiting and became part of the fold. He helped me, he engaged my friend and they shared a love of Star Wars while I briefly stepped away to get some air. I returned to see my friend out of bed showing off his star wars gear. He loved us woman in his life but needed someone interested in the cool guy stuff. I was lucky enough to meet and share time with Michael several times, and he took the time to check on me and how I was emotionally. I was so shocked I hardly knew what to say. There were others, some I didn't meet (Danielle) who truly showed up. The horror of how it was at Regency pales in comparison to the reality of that place without Residential. Thank you so much. We ended up utilizing this hospice company because it was the company that our hospital was contracted with at the time (2025). My dad had previously been receiving treatment at the hospital for Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. We had an in home intake meeting with a nurse on Sunday March 16. This particular nurse was kind and knowledgeable however she was not going to be our regular nurse. She stated that based on my dad's condition, a nurse would be at the house everyday. The next day, our assigned nurse came to the house for a brief time. I thought it was odd that she did not assist us in administering any oral medication as this was something we expressed to her that we were struggling with. Before she left, she stated she would be back on Thursday which caught us off guard because the intake nurse said my dad would need someone at the house everyday. As the week progressed, we felt like we were doing everything on our own as previous reviews have also expressed. My dad was in horrible pain and they refused to give us any other suggestions on medications - They simply advised us to continue giving him the same medication at the same dosage. In the early morning of Monday March 24, I called the nurse line as my dad had experienced a fall that resulted in cuts/bleeding and his general condition was plummeting. I inquired about when our nurse was scheduled to come back and they said Thursday. I was in shock as this would have been a whole week later from their last visit. I begged for them to send someone as soon as possible, but they stated our assigned nurse didn't start her shift until noon. I guess they did relay this call to our nurse as she texted me soon after the call to let me know we would be her first stop of her shift. It was too late as my dad passed away around 10am that day. I texted the nurse letting her know that he had passed - She showed up at 12:30 to pronounce time of death. I highly suggest steering clear of this company.

I have caught her gossiping negatively with other staff members who, though mostly lovely, seem intimidated and unduly influenced by her military style meanness. There is very little family support at the Waterford facility (grief counseling once a month) and adding an unwelcoming, unkind personality to the mix during an already stressful and surreal experience is too much to deal with. There's a reason for the saying ''one bad apple spoils the bunch.'' She seems to be a ringleader... and her energy is a downer.

I depended on them to give me a full report after each visit. I found out that one nurse who was supposed to visit face to face with Mom was actually calling the head nurse at the Home to get a report from her car, and would relay Mom's vitals to me like she was actually there. When I asked the nurse about something specific pertaining to Mom, she would quickly tell me she was doing fine and would change the subject. I found out from the Home admins she was not even going into my Mom's room. Well, my Mom passed away on March 8th 2021, and not one nurse came to visit her during the last week of her life. All they were doing was prescribing more and more morphine until Mom was a vegetable and hadn't been able to eat for four days before she cruelly died. The Home asked me if I would like to be Mom's care giver the final days and had I not been there to give Mom water and whisper support to her, she might have died sooner. For the last days of Mom's life, the Home acted as if their hands were tied being under Hospice care and Hospice acted as if Mom's final days were the Homes' responsibilities. Mom passed on March 8th and I have not received any condolences from any nurse that had visited her for the past year. The only person to call was Lynn, a social worker who has been monitoring my health and well being during since the start. Shame on you Season's Hospice for not caring about my Mom even in her final days under your care. You had no problem billing my Mom's Medicare for a year though. Andy Z.

It wasn't. They were nothing like the hospice we used for my dad, and nothing went right. Communication was horrible, response time for rather emergent situations was apalling, and the nurses, while I'm sure meant well, were grossly undertrained for the job. My mom had a pleurx catheter that needed draining and cleaning, and none of the nurses they sent had any knowledge or experience with them. If you are in need of Hospice care for a loved one, please research your options as much as possible. There are some very good ones out there, but Grace is not one of them.
