I wanted a new glass surround for our shower and made an appointment for an in-home quote. At the appointed time, now one showed up. After waiting an hour, I called and was told they got busy and couldn't make it. The owner apologized profusely and told me they'd give me a rough estimate if I could give they the approximate measurements. I did and never heard from them again. First, let me start by saying I needed to reach out to Beaumont Glass for a project at work, which is why someone from NJ is writing a review for a CA business. I would not hesitate to use Beaumont Glass on another project in CA. Robert was very honest, reasonable and quick to get the job done. We had a project that was completed and were having some issues with the storefront glass doors and a panic bar in the back. He repaired both storefront door closers and fixed the panic bar that was installed incorrectly by another vendor. Our client is very happy with his repairs. He was extremely fair on his pricing. He knew what our price point was and he could have easily went above that but stayed within the limit. We will be bidding future work to Beaumont Glass. read more

They told me someone would be out by 2:00. No one showed up by 3:00 so I called. No one answered so I left a voice mail. No one called or came. I will never use this company. I often thought the world would be a place where silly websites like YELP would only be for NEGATIVE reviews since in this world, if you run a business, why the *@!# would you perform any less than stellar. That said, I rarely give 5 star reviews. You run a business? It should be 5 star. Period. The end. However go the extra mile and I'll let people know. Beaumont Glass and Door did that and people should know about it. One day we needed our backdoor screen re-screened. Our kids were destroying it. At 2 years old and another on the way, the only way it would get opened was to pull where you could till you separated the screen from the frame, then tear over and over as you pull. It was a nightmare. Getting the screen re-screened with 'tear-proof' screening was great. Went perfectly. Then I had an idea of having them place some sort of pull tabs IN the screen. I had already drilled a handle at toddler level to the frame on the OUTSIDE but you couldn't do that on the inside or else the glass door wouldn't close. After some discussion, BG&D placed TWO window screen pull tabs you use to pull out screens at TWO different areas inside. One for our growing child and another lower for eventually our new addition. It's almost four years later and the design still works FLAWLESSLY. THIS is how a business should be run. THIS is an example all businesses should learn from. We had several window contractors come out to give us a bid on replacing two windows that needed to have some support studs replaced that had been damaged by water from what we thought was from the swamp cooler. One contractor wanted to replace the entire wall. Josh, owner of Beaumont Glass, came out and suggested we take out the two windows and put in a sliding glass door. It was the perfect solution for our problem. We were so pleased with the work Josh and his crew did, we decided to have the four windows in the front of the house replaced. The company he gets the windows from is a local company, and the quality is the best I've seen. Do not use Beaumont Glass, they replaced glass and broke my window parts that make the window go up and down, when the worker couldnt fix it I called the owner to come look he became violent with me, by cussing me out, calling me names and flipping me off after I told him I wanted him to come back when Milgard comes so they could figure this out. His worker said my window wouldnt work because there was dirt on the bottom. Really geez. My window was working great till they replaced the glass and put the window back in, now it wont go up or down, cant open it at all. This all happened in my bedroom with his worker watching. I told the boss which I believe his name is Robert to get out of my house he then kept cussing and flipping me off I told him I was going to call 911 and he said he didn't care he stood at my door hallway and said fuck the cops and you while flipping me off. I'm now going to have to replace the whole frame and parts. You cannot open the window at all now. He even called me a fat cow and this is the owner of this company WOW. Now I'm going to have to have a man here every time I have something done to my house because I'm sure he wouldn't of acted like this to a man. He even said I was prejudice and my family is all races. Tall guy with a white goatee. I believe his name is Robert. I had to call 911 he wouldnt leave and when I got him to get out of the house my telling him I was calling 911 he came up in my drive way in his vehicle and still yelling and flipping me off. He had already got a 150.00 from me and then he wanted another 149.00 from me that day. As soon as I find out how much this is going to cost me Im taking him to court. I now have a police report # and the Ring. I have 4 generations that have lived in Beaumont. ZERO STARS! Took my screen door in to be fixed--frame is bent on one side and needs to be replaced--the rest, including the screen is in perfect condition. The owner, Melissa, the workman and I examined it together in the shop. I was told they could fix it with a slightly damaged part for $15, and I could pick it up next day. A few hours later, I received a voice-mail from Melissa saying "there is no way they could reuse the screening material" once the door is disassembled and that the new charge would be $68, more than 4 times the original quote. I wondered why perfectly good screen couldn't be reused after removing the rubber spline that holds it in, so I called and talked to the workman. He said that sometimes when the spline is removed, it has hardened and tears the screen--he stated that there was a 50/50 chance of this happening on my screen but that he hadn't disassembled it yet. I replied that I didn't want to do business with a store that would indicate I would be charged for new screen, when it hadn't yet been determined that that would be required and that I would be retrieving the screen to have it fixed elsewhere. When I tried to question Melissa as to why she would indicate to me that the existing screen was not reusable, when that hadn't yet been determined, she became extremely belligerent, ordered me out of the store, and told me to "never come back"! LIKE I, OR ANY REASONABLE PERSON, EVER WOULD. If you still choose to do business there, I hope all goes well, because Melissa is certainly not skilled in problem resolution and not trustworthy in only selling you what you need. read more

3 Weeks and Still No Quote! Called them for a security door and they sent someone out a couple of days later. He said it would be a couple of days before he would get the quote, no problem. After 2 weeks called them back 3 times during business hours, nobody picked up, so i seft a message. They called me back the next day and said they needed to setup an account to get the door. I am wondering why a door company that has been in business for a long time doesn't have a supplier for security doors? Furthermore, why does it take 3 weeks to set up an account? Also, since they don't have a supplier for the doors, they surely haven't installed them before and that doesn't sit well with me. I was trying to give my business to a local business but apparently my job must be to little to worry about. When I moved to Beaumont I had a couple of things which needed custom glass work. I stopped by and talked to Josh who helped me design and fabricate a Plexiglas splash for my range top. On another trip, Josh cut out a round piece of glass for a specialty repair I was making. On both occasions, Josh not only made recommendations which completed my idea, he did the work while I waited. I know service providers can't always do things while you wait.
