I spoke with Scott, who asked for a few photos of specific things before he gave me a quote. He seemed very knowledgeable and straightforward. We set an appointment, and he not only called to remind me of it a few days before, but called the day of to let me know he was on his way and when he expected to arrive, which was at the very beginning of the initial two-hour window initially discussed. Though I was not looking at a stopwatch or anything, the whole process of repair took about 30 to 45 minutes by my estimation. It seemed to me to be very quick. But even if it had taken an entire day, it still would have been more than worth it. That sliding glass door (which is I don't know how old, but is by no means new) glides silently now, as if on air. It's truly a thing to behold. And look, I do understand that the smooth operation of a single door seems nothing in comparison to all the things in the world there are to worry about or need to be made better, but damn! I can't tell you how nice it is to have this one seeming little thing working so well now. Sometimes I just stand there, opening and closing it, for the sheer relief and enjoyment of the improvement.
