A conveniently located urgent care on Grand River near Novi Rd with available parking on the side of the building. Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly and kind registration staff. The wait was about 1.5 hours in the front wait area and about an hour in the exam room. There was one medical assistant and one physician assistant provider this weekend day between Christmas and New Years. The staff were both friendly, kind, and professional. The PA was very thorough and answered all our questions. They have some medication available on site for purchase. The remainder of the prescription would be sent to a preferred local pharmacy. My husband and I need a PCR test because we are leaving the country later this week, and as a result, we called Beaumont Urgent Care at 43535 Grand River. We spoke with a staff member at 1:03 pm; unfortunately, we did not document her name. She informed us that we could get the test if we came to the office at 1:30 pm today once they returned from lunch. We left work and met at the clinic. My husband arrived before me and was told that we could not get tested and that the clinic had been full since 10:30, so they were taking no more appointments. He explained that he had spoken to someone who had told him to come at this time. He was told that he didn't speak to anyone there. He showed the call log, and she said and "I don't know what to tell you" "we are not taking any more walk-ins today." When he came out and told me what happened, I thought it was a misunderstanding, so I went back in, waited in line, and spoke to the same representative. I explained that we needed a test to leave the country later this week and were told to come at 1:30 when they returned from lunch. She then told me, "no one told you that," I told her that she hadn't even asked the other representatives if they had spoken to us. She said that she had asked after my husband left out. She was extremely rude, so I asked for a manager. She told me they had an emergency, so I needed to wait. I asked for her name, and she said, "No, I'm not giving you my name." So I waited 20 minutes and then went back to the desk. She sat looking at me and refused to acknowledge me; another woman came and asked how can she help me. I told her I was waiting on the clinic manager. She said that she wasn't available and I should email her. I emailed her and have not as yet received a response. I understand that staff members are busy; however, there is no reason for being rude and condescending. read more

Nothing Urgent going on here. If you're expecting to get seen by an actual Doctor, think again. If you're expecting to get expert medical advice like Beaumont promotes, think again. If you're expecting to get seen on any type of priority basis, think again..you'd be better off going to the E.R. If you're expecting to get checked in then seen in an orderly fashion, think again. If you're wondering what socialized medicine or the VA looks and feels like, then by all means go to Beaumont (less then) Urgent Care. My Wife went around 11:30am and got seen about an hour later. There was only three people ahead of her when she checked in and after she watched 6 people go ahead of her she asked if she was (literally) signed in....Woops, the whole "When it's not an emergency, but you need to be seen quickly" thingy got overlooked. They must've forgot to hit the enter button.......Then around the 1.5hr mark she gets put into a room....Then in comes a P.A. not a Doctor to speak to a best educated guess as to what's going on with her. I was a walk-in about 1 pm.... was asked if I had an appointment and told the receptionist no. She advised me she had an opening at 3:36 and that I should register before I came back. The link didn't work, but I returned at 3:30 and advised link didn't work. Filled out paperwork in a few minutes and turned it in, then waited.....and waited...and waited. After 45 minutes, I inquired why so long. I asked what was the point in an appointment if I was going to be waiting 45+ minutes. The reply I received was that it wasn't an appointment, wtf? Really??? Am really not sure I should of written this Update or not. But when a person is forced to return to a Medical Office due to medical issues it can be a big deal for some. So last week friday I went to a local Urgent Care facility for a Foot/Ankle accident. I thought I had good service and everything was hunky dory. Wrote a good 4 star review on Yelp for the place and left it at that. Meanwhile all weekend my ankle/foot continued to be a pain I knew there was simply more wrong than the diagnosis. Then yesterday I received a call from the Urgent Care place and chatted with a Doctor (i assume as they claimed they were) about a possible issue. Apparently a Radiologist reviewed the Xrays taken of my Ankle/Foot injury and decided the diagnosis given me previous was not complete. They told me I actually have a Fracture and they suggested I see a food specialist aka Podiatrist and suggested I may even require surgery to correct the problem. I came back in the evening to consult with the above medical professional who then handed me the revised information and a copy of the Xrays on a CDR. I am trying to be laid back and accepting of this but am a little off kilter over the whole experience. I wonder how many other people may have had diagnosis that had to be corrected. Or later found out there really was something different (worse or better) than what they came in for? Am in process of getting another opinion from a full professional DO or MD who practices Podiatry. read more

The fist time I came here, I would have given this place a 4 or 5. However, this time I give it a zero to one score. I came here last week because I was having severe allergies. I'm back this week because my symptoms have not improved and could not get into my PCP. When I told the lady (young black girl with blond braids) at the front she asked me, "what do you want us to do?" Really? This is an urgent care, right? Maybe evaluate me? Maybe see if there's anything else that can be done? Rude!!! If you don't like your job, quit! It's that easy! Otherwise, do your job! Then there was the PA that asked me the same question! This place is very unfriendly. There was no magazines, no TV in the waiting room. They kept us waiting for 50 minutes, and there were 3 patients before us. I just spent over an hour in this facility. I was swabbed from strep and told the test would take 10 minutes and would be run right away. After over 30 minutes I came out of the exam room and asked for someone to call me with the results. I had already spent nearly 90 minutes there (I was the only patient in the waiting room when I arrived) and had to return to work. They refused. I was told I would have to come back and wait to see the only doctor in order to get the results. The manager called after I left to explain that the only doctor was in an emergency procedure. I was under the impression that this facility was an urgent care, not an emergency room. I wouldn't go to this facility if I were dying, never mind for a simple strep test. read more

Avoid this place I was having cough and fever for couple of days. I tried OTC medicines which doesn't helped. So I went to this urgent care. Wait time was less. Nurse checked the vitals and then doctor came in. I told the symptoms he checked with stethoscope. He was there for only 3 minutes. He went out and came up with the prescriptions paper , diagnosed as acute bronchitis and said I can checkout and all done. I was under medication for 10 days. I felt better till under medication then again problem started. Then I got appointment with another doctor and they ordered x-ray. And after few hours I got the call from doctor that I need to go hospital as they doubted there is abscess. I stayed in hospital for 6 days. If urgent care have diagnosed it properly I would avoided going to hospital. I will avoid this place and look for some other urgent care if needed. read more

Covid patients are in the waiting room; no separation. Patient said, "I'm pretty sure I have Covid" and they wait with everyone else. Loud phone talker in lobby creates a scene and moves to the front of the line. No control at all by the desk staff. Front desk says it's fine to wait in the car and they will call your mobile phone when it's your turn and they never call. They don't call leave No regard whatsoever for people's time. Dreadful. Have been here twice and had great experiences both times. Went this morning for a same-day PCR test and had a fantastic experience - kind staff, quick service. To avoid a wait, made a virtual visit appt and met with NP before going to the clinic. Was able to walk in at my appt time and get my test almost immediately. I really dont like writing bad reviews but I just have to. This place is an absolute waste of space. We walked in to get a check up due to a throat infection and was turned away because they didn't think we should be there for a basic check up. I think it was urgent enough for personal reasons but honestly the "doctor" didn't think we were quite important for her to check us in. The front desk nurse/ assistant seemed like they were in training. She kept going back and forth to the doctor to see if was ok to help us. I'm very disappointed with their behavior and they're lack of professionalism. I honestly would never recommend this place to anyone. Go elsewhere. In short, a public clinic treats you better than this place. Save your self the bad moment. read more

This urgent care is the worst one I've ever been to. I had an appointment at 12:10 did not get in till an hour and a half after my scheduled time not including the time I sat in the room waiting for someone to come in. After 40 min of waiting I asked the front desk and asked for a time estimate and they were not very friendly and said there are also emergent cases waiting when clearly no one in the waiting room appeared emergent and didn't give me any time frame. Not to mention they make u come in 15 minutes before your scheduled time as well which was a complete waste of my time. read more

Looking for a Rapid testing place this urgent care did not accept my insurance but it did not tell me that when I registered for the appointment. So if I don't have insurance it's covered?! But if I'm out of network I'm out of luck. This is completely irresponsible having a person who has been exposed to covid walking around, plus wasting precious time. Plus your walking in.... Of course my body picks late Sunday afternoon to get sick. I was skeptical going into any healthcare building during COVID, but much to my happiness, a staff member was already sanitizing all equipment when I walked in. While I know should expect a wait at an urgent care, I was shocked that I went in, completed paperwork, testing and consult and was out in 22 minutes. I found it a bit unethical that being an urgent care facility their only concern is how to collect the money. The first question the receptionist asked was about insurance and then took the co-pay. Not for once cared to ask why we were visiting the urgent care!!! After asking did they even care why we were visiting, she replied they took care of everything. It felt like I was in a convenient store than a medical facility, where they should be more concerned about helping sick and injured people not just care about the co-pay and what insurance patient has. Went in for a sinus infection, ear infection. Dr told me my tonsils looked swollen....I had my tonsils out 5 years ago. Granted I understand they can grow back but when I went to my primary care provider, she assured me they were not growing back and it was a sinus and ear infection. Urgent care did not give me any antibiotics and just suggested otc meds. My primary care physician insisted antibiotics was necessary. I do not recommend this urgent care, at all. read more

I took my son to this urgent care center today around 4pm as we suspected that he had strep throat. The place was empty, and he was seen right away. We both really liked the doctor, who took a common sense approach to my son's care. No expensive tests...just a good exam, a caring attitude and a prescription to treat the infection. Have been there a few times and the treatment has been average. The last visit I had taken my son there for a sharp pain in his heal. They took x-rays, said it was broken and proceeded to put a temporary cast on the foot and leg. After it was on and dry the dr inspected the x-rays again and was looking at the wrong foot and told me it was not broken but we should still follow up with a specialist. Months later received bill in the mail for the casting....poor. read more

Fast service but almost too fast. I felt like they were rushing to get me out of there even though there was nobody waiting. I went in for an elbow injury... they X rayed it, rubbed it a little, then offered a sling but insisted I didn't need it. They told me I had hematoma (blood clotting) but didn't offer any advice on how to cure it. Thanks for the list of actual doctors in the area but that was the entire reason I went here... to not have to set an appointment but still get what I thought would be quality service. read more

As I a doctor myself I went to this urgent care as I was very ill. Fast service, but the doctor was rushing even though there were no other patients to be seen. Even before talking to me, she diagnosed me based upon medical assistant notes. As soon as the doctor entered the room, she said oh you have stomach flu. I was thinking in my mind "you did not even talk to me to find out what is wrong", and when I was trying to explain my symptoms she tried to cut me several times. When I said I do not have abdominal pain, then she jumped to a different diagnosis "you still have some kind of viral infection, and we have been seeing that a lot..." I really felt so bad to be treated like this, they charge your insurance the right way and right amount, but treatment is cut short or rushed. I will never do this to my patients, I take time to listen to patients and treat appropriately. I am not sure about other doctors in this urgent care. Oh and also, hearing to lungs was a joke, I was wearing a big fleece, and was in 2 more layers, and this doctor places stethoscope on all these layers at only one spot to say " your lung sounds great". read more

Been to this urgent care a couple of times. The doctor asks a couple of questions and gives her assessment - while quick, it leaves you feeling like it was actually TOO fast. Usually you can get right in and they are alright. I've found a better one over on 10 mile & haggerty I prefer more, they are a little less sterile and have a more family-oriented approach. This one is ok for emergencies but not a 5 star facility, particularly because I came in once for strep and the receptionist asked me to come back later because the doctor was out. read more
