Got lucky when these guys were in my neighborhood with their equipment, doing someone else's driveway. They said they could do mine too. Coincidentally, I was exploring options for a new driveway, so after speaking with the neighbor who hired BeauSoleil, I went with them. I'll never look back. I'll just look at my great new driveway. They did a fantastic job, kept their word regarding when they could come back and pave, after removing the old driveway the same day I hired them. Fantastic, reputable company that's been in business for about 50 years. I'll update this review in 30 years or so, to comment on the durability of my new driveway. (that was a joke). This company doesn't deserve any stars at all. They came to do a job at the neighbor's home today and pushed piles of rocks, leaves and debris up along my property line. I asked them if they planned to move it before they left and one of the men said they would "smooth it out". Unacceptable! They created this mess on a formerly clear area, they had a Bobcat with a bucket with them, but they refused to move the debris into the woods and were very rude about it, along the lines of "I'm tellin' you what we're doin' ". They proceeded to lay the asphalt down, rolled it, then decided to make a cursory pass over the piles which simply spread the mess out. They also went to another home and helped themselves to water from the outside spigot for their machinery without permission. I would avoid them at all costs. My 99 year old father and I hire Beausoleil and sons in December of 2019. The work was supposed to be done on December 17, but on December 12 Eric called and asked if the could come later that day. I agreed. The work took less than 2 hours, I have a big driveway , I called Eric to ask why they were leaving and where's the roller, he said they were done and could I flag Oscar down and give him a check. Stupidly i did. Less than 48 hours later my car sunk in muck and asphalt. It took Eric 5 hours to return my calls. Monday he sent Oscar back at 7 am. They filled in the tire tracks by hand with muck and then rolled a truck over the mess. Eric was supposed to be there but he was too busy. I waited and told him get to my house. I went to the police station to have a witness, and someone with me because I was afraid he would pull something. My neighbor also came over , he retires law enforcement, so in front of two witnesses he promised on the reputation of his 50 year business that they would be back either Wednesday or Thursday. He didn't show. It's 11 months later. I still haven't seen or heard from him. DO NOT HIRE BEAUSOLEIL AND SONS! Only hire them if you fee like getting ripped off SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS!! 66 Erik came to give a quote for our driveway. He was very responsive and they came to do the job like they said they would. However, one week after the job, there were areas all over the driveway that were in need of repair. Erik assured me that this was normal and it happens every time and they come at the end of the season to do touchups. Well, it's been over a year and I am still waiting for the touchups. I have called the company eleven times throughout the year and every time l am told they will be coming before the end of the season. Four seasons have passed and I have yet to hear from anybody about coming to do these touchups. I have never once received a callback. The only time I get information is when I call and somebody answers the phone. I am told every single time that somebody will get back to me and they don't. We live in downtown Mystic and many of my neighbors had asked if I recommend this company to do their driveway. I absolutely would not recommend this company. read more

They came into the yard to get material and didn't have any form of payment with them so I let the driver go as the office told me I would get a check from them that day. That was 13 days ago and still have not received check. I highly suggest if you are doing anything for them get payment upfront. read more

Unprofessional. had them do a driveway and wanted them to remove 1 yard of topsoil made no less than 10 apointments but not to take it personel with eric and he never showed. A year later he is doing work across the street I stop and see him and he tells me he got all backed up dont take it personel. then he leaves with his equipment. This would have taken 10 min to do. And I would have paid him. POS as far as I am concerned sorry I actualy got them another job. That wont happen again. read more

Cheap material, unsatisfactory work, and unprofessional insulting response from Lee at Beausoleil and Sons Paving . Lee at Beausoleil & Sons Paving Scheduled appointment was in the morning 4/1/2020. Started at 7:30 till 8pm in the dark. They worked in the dark and left my driveway stating completion. On 4/1/20- I look at my driveway during the day,Our next door neighbors driveway was done the same day as ours, my driveway was completely different. Theirs had All crushed stone with a top coat and all compressed. All their edges were flush. My driveway looked half way completed, a mess. My grass was all chewed up and edges ruined. I called Lee at Beausoleil & Sons Paving When he called back I explained my concerns. He told me that job was done, asked me what I did for a living and if I should be telling him what he was doing, or If I was an engineer. He told me to do the job myself. Step 1: Demolition and Removal - was done. Step 2: Grading and Sloping-prepare the surface for appropriate water drainage. - NOT DONE Step 3: Prepare the Sub Base- You'd never guess that the most important part of your new asphalt surface is actually the sub base. NOT DONE (The sub base provides a stable surface to support new pavement. The sub base is a frost barrier to help reduce winter damage due to freezing and thawing. During the installation, base thickness, base stability and compaction are important steps. If the sub base is not appropriately compacted, the asphalt surface on top will not provide years of durability. -) NOT DONE Step 4: Proof Roll, Undercutting and Sub Base Repair- Once the sub base is fully graded and compacted, This completes an extra step, called a proof roll, to ensure the underlying surface is strong and ready to support new asphalt.If the proof roll finds soft areas in the sub base, you makes the necessary repairs in compromised areas to ensure the entire sub base is supportive. NOT DONE According to Lee at Beausoleil & Sons Paving I am not allowed to question any of his work unless I am an engineer. Then be prepared to be insulted by him. It is my home and my money , I should be allowed to ask and have any concerns or questions answers on a service I am paying for. Don't waste you time with this Company, they will cheat you will the materials, service, and you can not address any concerns. Unless your an engineer in their field. By the way, I never told him what I do for a livng. and I am glad. Very disrespectful. He should pay me to fix the lawn he tore up. read more

Hired to put a top coat over my driveway. When they called and said they were there I said it was ok to get started. When I got home they were digging up my entire driveway. They then proceeded to dump asphalt and never properly rolled it. To make matters worse they did it on a cool rainy day so the asphalt never compressed. When I parked on it when the weather was warmer it created dents. Eric will lie to you and never made good. read more

Very unhappy. Appointment was made for rep to come out between 2 and 3 and when 315 came around i called to inquire where rep was. Very nice office rep reached out to the person who was scheduled to be at my home and he stated he was at an emergency job. I recieved no call to let me know and if i hadnt called i'd still be sitting there waiting after taking the afternoon off from work. Rep stated that is how they operate and the estimator and owner often dont check in where they are for days to either the office or to their clients. What??! "Thats how the business is" i was told. We hired Beausoleil and Sons Inc to do our residential long driveway in WEST WARWICK RHODE ISLAND. The job they bid was not the cheapest contractor but we felt they had been in business a long time and would do the best job. LESS THAN 8 months after the job was complete our driveway started cracking, crumbling, and pebble stone showing through underneath. Having several people look at it they said the asphalt was way too thin. They did not have it thick enough. We contacted them immediately and it took them from August of last year until now (another 6 months) to come out and PATCH the driveway. I'm heart broken. Our driveway was very expensive - close to ten thousand dollars and it looks like a patch job. A hack job is what they did and I want other home owners to BEWARE. read more
