There are a number of staff at the MF Location in Chandler - there aren't Medifast Centers in Tucson, so I drive up every other week for my 'counseling' session... where I weigh in, get measured, and talk to the girls about how my week or two has been. Have to admit the holidays were rough -- MF is a low-carb (not insanely low-- a la Atkins), low-fat (healthy fats are allowed), low-sodium (seriously, the first 2 weeks I lost 22 lbs, and I know a lot of that was from retaining so much liquid with the high sodium diet that is standard in the USA), and high-protein meal-replacement plan. 5 MF meals and one "lean and green" meal that is real food. The meals are all carb/protein balanced, and the food charts for the Lean & Green are based on carb counts of the foods - which can help make decisions about what to eat if the weight loss has slowed down for some reason. Medifast has been around for 25 years, and used to be liquid shakes only... they've improved the food offerings 1,000%! There's oatmeal, really good bars, brownies, soups, chili, sloppy joe, puddings, soft serve ice cream type stuff, crackers, puffed rice snacky things, and snacky "meals" that take the place of potato chips and snack foods along those lines. I love the program. I love the girls at the office... but I call them girls because I don't believe any of them have had the life experience to truly be 'counseling' me, an over-40, overweight-the-last-twenty-years-of-my-life, eat-because-of-every-reason-but-hunger woman. They have degrees in Nutrition or Dietetics (sp?) from 4-year universities -- which is awesome... I just wish they had a few more employees who know what it is like to live life at over 200 lbs. This is the only thing that stops me from giving it a 5-star rating. Between the food and the accountability - I have lost 100 lbs. Front desk: poor communication skills…read more Called for 2 weeks to get prescription filled, no reply back. Finally after multiple calls I was told "I'm sorry I'll have the dr call you tomorrow" zero mention of a cost. I was charged $95 when she did call Manager & Dr had a discussion & decided to go ahead & bill me. But they did have front desk clerk apologize. Ive spend over $1100 at this clinic only to be set back in health. The treatment caused so much pain my husband almost took me to ER but I hate ERs. My anxiety was on overdrive fr supplements, had excessive shedding among other symptoms. I cldnt handle the supplements so I stopped diet & supplements. My body started to slowly heal in a few days Dr hypothesis was my energy triad was off & my digestion was good My hypothesis: leaky gut. I got my results. Researched on my own . Sounded like leaky gut Went back to my old clinic, W clinic (didn't know they treated digestion) Dr confirmed it was in fact leaky gut which also affected my bladder Treatment in just a few weeks already doing better . Also drs are available to chat through email after prescribing supplements Bcz they want to make sure they are working for patient. Summary: Poor communication skills from the front desk (3 occasions I got incorrect info that cost me more $) Dr was polite but not helpful. Manager called to ask about my experience. Another apology with no solution to problems. Customers have the right to be informed of what they are being charged for. And true empathy is caring about a patients concerns when they tell u the supplements are harming them. I think this facility has sufficient enough clientele not to care about the welfare of any new patients. My biggest issue was not that my treatment failed (drs aren't perfect. I understand) but the fact that their apologies are in vain. They offer no resolutions.

I come in to dump blood based off blood work from a different office and the receptionists tried to convince me to get a new blood test. Months later I come in to get a blood test and when I explain I just want the results emailed to me the receptionists looked at me like I was insane. A few days later I tried to set up an appointment for a adhd evaluation and they tried to tell me I needed to come in and reveiw my bloodwork for them to prescribe me anything... Which come to find out they don't actually prescribe adhd medication. Just my experience but I would find a different office if you want to have any input on your healthcare.

My husband got me a gift card for this place last year but since we live out of town I was just…read moreable to use it. When I called to make an appt they said they don't do gift certificates. I had to email a picture of it along with the charge evidence on my husband's credit card. They finally believed me and I scheduled my appt. I asked how much per unit for Botox during my time with the doctor and he said he didn't know so he sent in the lady who handles that. When my husband bought the gift card they had said it was enough for 40 units plus tip. This lady told me for 40 units would be about $30 over my gift certificate value (never mind a tip). I asked about it and she said that included the $120 consultation fee. I have been getting Botox for 7 years and have never once heard of this. They ended up waving it and saying now my total would be about $17 under my gift certificate total. That's a difference in price of around $47, not $120. The whole place seemed sketchy- they never wanted to give me a definite price per unit and didn't seem sure of themselves. Moving on to the actual Botox. It took about an hour before they actually did the Botox. Ridiculous! He uses a surgical pen that leaves marks for about 24 hours instead of the white pencil most places use. I am 8 days post injection of Botox and my forehead still feels like I ran into a wall- it is so tender and sore! This is not normal for me or for anyone. I also had more bulging than ever before. The people were nice enough but didn't seem to like my questions regarding pricing. I definitely would not recommend this place or go back. I was highly uncomfortable the whole time.
