I can't emphasize that enough. She seems to believe most, if not all, chronic pain patients are are addicts. She speaks in a condescending tone towards patients that is hurtful and unhelpful. I've even overheard the office staff laugh while loudly discussing discharging "bad" patients and saying how "X will never get opioids again". This office hasn't offered me any meaningful pain management or help in the time I've spent there. If you look closely, Advanced Pain Management has nothing to offer chronic pain patients, the entire practice is simply a money mill.

It's not really a big deal but was surprising to me. When I got to the office all of the information I gave them over the phone was wrong. My address was wrong despite me spelling out my street name. I told them that I had a surgery in the past, a discectomy at the L4-L5 level. When I got to my appointment they had written down that I had a vasectomy. It was funny at first and I just assumed the girl heard me wrong on the phone. Then I started to get a little worried that an employee of a pain management facility, where they do spinal injections, thought that "vasectomy at the L4-L5 level," is a sentence that makes sense. Dr. Sraow is hands down the most unprofessional doctor I have ever seen. He spent the majority of the appointment staring at his computer, talking about his sports betting habit and Netflix. I was the one who had to keep refocusing the conversation on my spinal problems, which was the only reason I was there. I don't care about your parlay bro, I care about my health. I wouldn't trust this guy to clean my toilets let alone stick a needle in my spine. They were then supposed to call me to set up an appointment for an injection but after not hearing from them for 6 weeks I called and told them not to bother. They claimed they were still waiting on insurance approval but my insurance company said they never received anything. Pretty much what I expected they would say.

First it was a bunch of rescheduling appointments for 3 months past when my appointment was supposed to be, then it was canceling appointments and provider changes after being told that switching to a new provider wouldn't occur during their transition period. It's hard to call and get ahold of staff in the office. They wait til less than 48 hrs to cancel or change appointments and it's just ridiculous. As someone with anxiety it truly sucks. Staff just tries to blame providers saying their schedules change but it seems like the schedules should know the schedules.

Coming into a friendly face and being encouraged makes me want to come back each time. Savanna has an incredible "bedside manner" when I was about 16 weeks along at my appointment, I shared how grateful but anxious I was and these two ladies allowed for me to see my baby again to relieve the fear. It was something that clearly they did not need to do, but cared for my heart to help bring joy in seeing our baby's heart beating would recommend these people so much!

Over the past few visits, I've increasingly felt that the doctors were cold, impatient, and lacking sensitivity during vulnerable moments. My latest experience was especially traumatic for me. I was already going through something emotionally difficult, and instead of feeling supported or cared for, I felt dismissed and met with a very cold bedside manner. It left me feeling uncomfortable and upset after the appointment. I tried seeing another doctor within the practice hoping for a different experience, but sadly I encountered the same feeling again. After being a loyal patient for many years, it's very disappointing to say that I will unfortunately be looking elsewhere for care.
