We mentioned it a number of times, even wrote it on our contract, then mentioned it again that I have a severe allergy to lilies. I come in for my wedding and start feeling sick, my eyes start hurting, I start having difficulties breathing, and here they are - they completely ignored the request and decorated our entire Chuppah with lilies. Our wedding party was awesome. They removed these damn flowers and called Fortune Flowers requesting to fix it immediately. It took me, also my mother in law and my husband (who apparently had a reaction to them as well) a few hours until we stopped feeling sick.

It was the same girl (I think her name was Olya) that made my bouquet, and the arrangement was as beautiful as the first time. My problem is with the bald guy (I think his name was Boris) that runs the place. While Olya was making my bouquet, I asked Boris if he could break a $20 bill. He (reluctantly) agreed, as if I wasn't a customer and just came in to break a bill, so I handed him $20. He looks at it for no more than 2 seconds and says (very confidently and nonchalantly), "it's a fake". For a second I get embarrassed, take it back and look at it myself. It looked worn out and had the texture as such, but when I brought it to the light it definitely had all the elements needed for it to be real, so I asked him to check with a marker. He said he didn't have one and then continued to prove to me that it's fake by showing me a fake $20 bill of his own. This bill actually looked and felt fake, yet not worn out and when brought to the light had none of the crucial elements that my bill had. At that point I said fuck it, and just handed him another $20. Guess what?! He had a problem with that one as well. No, not because it was "fake", but because it was a little ripped on the side. He said, "I'm sorry, but no one is going to take that from me". By this point I had so many mixed emotions inside of me, I was ready to just leave without the flowers. Instead, I finally found a crisp $20 bill and gave it to him. The irony of it all was that I needed to break that $20 to give it to Olya as a tip. To convince myself (or prove him right) I went to the bank to check the validity of the bill. To no surprise at all, they tell me, "it's a little worn out, but definitely real!" And just for shits and giggles I asked them if the ripped $20 bill was good to use. And once again, to no surprise, they told me that it was perfectly fine. In fact, they took them both and gave me two fresh $20 bills. In conclusion, Olya is a very talented florist, who deserves to be working in a much better establishment. I took one star off for embarrassing me with the first bill, then one for the other, and another one for wasting my time going to the bank to reassure myself. If I could, I'd give 1 star to the place and 5 to Olya. I don't know if I'll be coming back here, but if I do, hopefully I'm not going to have the same experience. P.S. don't come here if you don't have crisp bills.

Betty would personally assist me in putting something different together and would always give my daughter a rose or a flower. We moved out of the neighborhood years ago, but whenever I need an arrangement for someone or am in the neighborhood I stop by and pick up some flowers for my favorite flower lover in the world: ME The prices in this flower shop are unbelievable. I called this morning and spoke to Betty who couldn't be nicer and more professional. Betty spoke to me about different options and different prices for each arrangement option. The prices were more than reasonable, and there was no delivery surcharge. Within hours, the flowers were delivered to my friend's room and they are positively gorgeous. My friend's boyfriend sent me a picture, and I got to speak to my friend, post surgery. She said the flowers put a giant smile on her face. I definitely felt I got my money's worth. I wholeheartedly and unequivocally recommend Fort Washington Florist. Thank you Betty. I honestly hope I don't have any more friends who need to be hospitalized, but if I do, and they're at NY Presbyterian, I would definitely use Fort Washington Florist again.

I ordered over the phone a bouquet of flowers with vibrant colors around $200. I received 23 roses…read morein orange and 4 green Hydrangeas. With tax the price is $239.53. The quality of the flowers are good, but I just don't think 2 colors would equate "vibrant colors". I called the store to complain and they were not willing to re-do the bouquet (maybe because it is Xmas Eve and busy). I don't order flowers often and assumed a bouquet would contain more than 2 types of flowers (because in the past other florists would give me multiple types of flowers). If you do order flowers from this place, I suggest being very specific in what you are looking for because I don't think they automatically make a beautiful bouquet. Maybe this florist does a better job with repeat clientele. If they don't know you, maybe find another place.
