My stylist, Lana, has styled my hair for 15 years - I can't imagine anyone else so tuned in to what her customer wants, and her confidence in what she does is backed up by years of experience, training, and from what I've experienced, innate talent and love for her job. Not only can she do anything you ask (within reason for your hair type, of course, and sometimes she can do styles I've thought not possible for my hair type), but she takes the time to tell you how to use the products and tools to get the same look yourself and advises you on how to keep it healthy. And to top it off, she is the most positive person I know - so when you leave the salon, not only does your hair look great, after chatting with Lana, you feel like she's your best friend AND like you are the queen of the world! The rest of the staff is very friendly and helpful too. Not to mention, it's a beautiful, relaxing setting...why did I write this - I should be hoping no one reads it - this will make it harder for me to get my next appointment!;)

She is the only person I (usually) let touch my hair because too many people have screwed it up in the past. After multiple, really great recommendations from family & friends, I went to Jessica yesterday for just a 3-4" cut to get the dead length off. I emphasized SO MUCH that it HAD to still have enough length to go into a full bun. Before I knew it, she had hacked at least 7 inches off the back of my head. It was well past my armpits & now it doesn't even touch the tops of my shoulders! I start to panic and she says "I guess I should have considered your hair is curly before I stretched the curls and cut." YOU EFFING THINK?! Curls BOUNCE UP! Hell even I know that! Then she tells me, "You know, I guess we just got to talking and we got distracted." WE?! No, you're the professional. It's YOUR JOB to pay attention. Look, I've had 2 major spinal surgeries in the last 3 years (with more in the future) & I'm forced to wear my hair up in a bun because my neck can't handle me trying to blow dry & flatiron my own hair. It takes 2 1/2 hours for me to do because of the thickness, frizz & natural curl) That absolutely destroys my neck & I lose all feeling in my hands and arms for days afterwards. I can get it professionally styled but I have so much hair that I'm charged $50-$75 PER blow-dry/flatiron appointment (that has to be done weekly) and I don't exactly have the extra funds to pay someone $250+ a month to do it professionally until this grows out!! I went in for a cut, not a brand new hairstyle. I don't understand how she let this happen except that she obviously does not know how to cut curly hair. That would have been nice to know beforehand... . I held in the tears as much as I could but I walked out sobbing and I haven't really stopped since. I'm devastated. She seemed like she felt bad but certainly not bad enough to not charge me. So now I get to live in hats for the foreseeable months (with this AWFUL 2" ponytail sticking straight out that I can't even wear high up at all because I don't have enough hair anymore) It's either that or I pull a Brittany Spears and shave my head and have the nervous breakdown I truly feel I deserve right now. As someone with chronic pain, all I wanted was to make life a little easier and now I get to live & deal with the exact opposite. Unreal.

Kamryn was so patient and attentive, she actually got my hair to exactly what I wanted the first time I went in. They were even closing and she was supposed to be getting off but stayed to make sure my hair got to the color I wanted and did my cut too! They are very up front with the cancelation policies and if you do not cancel in the alloted time that you will be charged, which I think is fair, especially for what you may be asking for, like in my case it's never just something simple so they have to block off that time and potentially lose out on a job for that day if you cancel without the right amount of time, so to me that's fair and makes sense. They are clear with that when booking the appt. They also check with you multiple times for your appt giving you ample time to confirm or cancel properly. I'm sure that if it was an actual emergency and you could maybe prove that it was, I'm sure they would work with you if you are calm, kind and understanding that they are doing their job and they are losing out on potential income for that period if you don't show up or don't cancel in the time frame. But thats just me, I love them and the place to much so I personally wouldn't mind the fee if I didn't cancel properly, or show up. Anywho, bottom line is they are all awesome, the salon is beautiful, a ton of services (one day I'm going to get extensions done with the lady that does them, she is also so sweet and fun!), wide variety of free beverages and snacks, and sell great products. I wanted to try new things with my hair in the ways of coloring, and Lily was immediately agreeable to any idea that I had. When I wanted to try a red color, she slowly introduced my hair to the color that I wanted so it wouldn't be a shock to me or too hard to take care of.
