Brought my daughter for her FIRST hair cut experience ever at a salon. Given the rating, I thought this would be a perfect experience for her - boy was I wrong. We asked for layers & we agreed a good 1.5 inches to cut off the dead/dry ends w/the stylist. During her service, the stylist did not section nor measure any part while cutting. I gave her the benefit of the doubt as all stylist have their own way of cutting hair. To cut the story short, here's the BEFORE & AFTER - stylist wanted to charge $75 for LONG & THICK HAIR. I refused the price & she said it's the end of the night & didn't want to argue & said $65. Paid it as furious as I was & left. Came into the car for my daughter to tell me she also SHAVED some of her baby hair in the back without asking while she had her head down & didn't know what was going on till it was too late. read more

He is appointment based only, but he has a great personality, humorous, and really cares about his customer's satisfaction so long as you show him respect too. Excellent service, I scheduled a 2:30 appointment to get a Japanese straight perm done. The entire process lasted 5 hours and my stylist was May. Not only was she friendly but she made sure to explain why she was going it layer my hair the way she did. When I came in my hair lacked movement and flat, she did her thing brought it back to life. The person who washed my hair was also very friendly, he explained every step of the process when he was washing my hair and prepping it for the chemicals. Highly recommended. read more

I came in 5 minutes before closing time on Sunday night and they not only accommodated me but they took their time with the nice shampoo before and after and a very meticulous Immaculate haircut. I have come to rely on reviews to help me make a final decision. Glad I listened to the reviews for Susan Hair. I have been wanting to ombré my hair, so I went straight to Yelp and ran across this wonderful place. I called on a Friday and was able get in to see Kim on Sunday. I was pleased with the short wait to see someone whom was described as super busy! The location is fairly convenient, even though it's in the middle of street construction. My friend and I walked in and were immediately greeted. About 2 minutes later, Kim came and got me and the consultation began. She asked me what I was looking for and asked to see pictures, if I had any and asked questions regarding my hair history (color, etc) once I told her what I was looking for, she gave her suggestions and the coloring process began. I appreciated that she listened, but as a professional, she gave her opinion. How many times have we walked out of there thinking, why didn't they say something? During the whole process, she was fully focused on me and what she was doing. I didn't feel as if she was rushing or cutting corners, while people where coming in and out! Once my head was foiled up and getting HBO :-) I sat only a couple of minutes for the dye to do it's job. After cut, color and keratin treatment, I loved the results.
