Great color- until your blondes aren't toned the same. This was my third time getting color done with Amanda and my first cut. I emailed a photo that I wanted when I scheduled the appointment 6 weeks before. To be clear- I didn't want the brunette darker. She didn't copy the highlight placement beyond the front piece which I already had. How these haircuts even look similar to her is beyond me- I wanted those bangs and I got late 90s wisps. I asked for a gentle taper to the back but got a straight cut that looks more damaged than before. After 4 hours in the chair I wasn't about to waste anymore time asking for something she clearly couldn't deliver. If you don't want to rearrange all your plans to get your hair fixed by someone else, don't book here. read more

I've been coming to Amanda for 2 years now for balayage and cut/color. She is a 10/10 hair stylist and wizard! I'm often indecisive about what to do but she takes my ideas and makes them into beautiful hair artistry! She is extremely patient and very thorough with her work. Before and afters. To be clear, I scheduled a bleach and tone. Then showed up and picked her brain about fashion color and how comfortable she would be to do some at that appointment. She had Joico and Guy Tang color. I knew about Joico color, beautiful blue's and purples, BUT Guy Tang was new to me. Amanda educated me about his business and showed me his instagram. Well, fellow fairy women of hair, I'm converted. Amanda was so thorough bleaching with the lightest most gentle touch. I've never had someone be so gentle with my head. That was really nice. We ended up doing a shadow root which I love because I think it makes it look even better. I was at the appointment for 4 1/2 -5 hours which is amazing considering it was our first time together, I surprised her with a fashion color request, and she styled it. I will say the salon itself is smaller which I wouldn't of minded but she shares it with another stylist. Everyone wore masks but it's not possible to 6 foot distance from each other. If this bothers you, Amanda will do your hair in a private suite or not when the other stylist is in. They do run a dyson air purifier and the space is sparkling clean. read more

Amanda does good work for a really good price. She is super sweet and understanding. She works well with pictures of what you want and if you can't decide what you want she can make a decision that is best for your hair. I have been seeing her for about 3 years. Her updos are spectacular!!! They stay up all day and night, possibly next day if you didn't wash it out. I did wash mine so I don't know for sure. She does make up too. I chose the airbrush make up. It was so fancy!!! I normally get highlights and a cut. My highlights last pretty long and I love how it looks when it grows out (that is actually my favorite part - ha ha). Where do I begin... First let me start off by saying this is not my usual place to go for hair services. I found the following salon after doing a little research online (Yelp, IG, FB, etc...) After looking over pictures, post, and reviews; not only was I confident in making an appt, I was also thankful I was able to book an appt online in such a short notice (next day). Day of the appt arrives, I receive a text asking for a picture of my hair in its current state and what I was aiming to achieve. No problem, pictures sent. The response I received back was, "With your hair being down your back, there will be a $20 add-on. Is that okay with you?", which had nothing to do with her initial question about my goals, or whether this was feasible. My response was a quick ok. Fast forward a couple hours later, I'm driving to my appt, and I am receiving text from Amanda on the protocol of what to do when I arrive at the salon; including that mask must be worn the duration of my appt. The following steps include; drive up to the 4th floor of the garage, park and text to let her I have arrived so she can let me in. First text @ 4:26: I am here, Second text @ 4:29: Waiting in car, Third text @ 4:37: Do I continue waiting? No response to any of my text, so I assumed she may be with another client. My final attempt was a phone call @ 4:43, where she stated she had not received any of my text, and that she was making her way to the door, where I was greeted by her complaining about phone connection services being down (so you don't reach out to your clients after 15 minutes of their appt time, fine whatever). We get to her salon area, where I find a very small room, which she shares with another stylist because there were 2 other people (stylist & his client). Please remember I was instructed that a mask must be worn during my services, but this client was not, and as I was trying to social distance from them and maneuver between them and the cluttered bench I was advised to put my purse on, I overheard him tell his stylist maybe I should put this (mask) on. (Not even in the chair yet and I already have a bad feeling about my decision to come to this salon, plus I'm now looking at over $200+ for services (understandable, had bayalage before). I'm in the chair, she's examining my hair, looking at the pictures I sent and kept asking me questions of what I wanted. Q&A went on too long, that it didn't sound like she was confident about doing what I asked, which I was confused about because posted pictures state otherwise. Now her next response to what I wanted is what threw me for a loop. I told her, I know I want my grays covered. She responded, "all of them?". I'm sorry, what?! But who only does a few grays? Then she adds that will be an additional $60. At this point I'm done, I get up and proceed to leave while telling her I have never had a stylist ask me so many questions that you should know the answers to and pile on charges that should already included in the balayage fee. Plus I had to comment on the fact that the other client was not wearing a mask and as someone who works in the medical field this was unprofessional and unsafe (the size of the salon did not allow any room for any social distancing even if all four of were in each corner of the room and especially for someone not to be wearing a mask). read more

I had a funeral to attend and did not want to look like I hadn't had a decent cut since Covid started. I made this decision very late in the game but being able to schedule my appointment on-line was such a relief. As was the great reviews about Amanda. Believe me, Amanda is a wonderful stylist. I had an asymetrical hair cut that had been cut very short on one side. It wasn't growing out fast enough but Amanda was able to shorten up the long side and trim the short side so I looked decent and stylish. Despite being so talented her prices are extremely reasonable. I will be going back and having her color my hair along with another trim. I love Amanda!! She's so sweet and super talented! Her work is literally like the hairstyles that you see on Pinterest. My experience was amazing with her. I scheduled my appointment for a balayage a few days before. I then realized that I should've consulted her at first, so I texted her that I want to change my appointment to a consultation instead. She replied pretty fast and said that I could just send her pictures of my hair goals and what my hair looks like now. I did just that and she helped out a lot! I wanted an ash grey balayage, but she recommended I do an ash brown first because getting my virgin black hair to grey would be too damaging. She answered all my questions and replied even late at night. The day I got my hair done, it was a great experience from beginning to end! I was running late to my appointment due to traffic, so I texted her and she said that it's no rush and sent parking directions. Her directions to the place is easy to follow. She's super focused on her work, but is also super nice to talk to. She made sure I was comfortable, puts on shows to watch, frequently asked if I needed anything, and provided drinks and snacks (since the whole session took 8 hours). Upfront about prices, tells you the price of an add-on service before doing it and asks you if you want to continue with it, and doesn't charge you on services you didn't ask for (unlike some other places).
