Next stop Dr Altman will be replacing an implant that was placed decades ago it took multiple dentist not to see the problem however leave it to a specialist and one of the best to spot something that should've been found by my dentist years ago. I even told my dentist something wasn't right with that implant since I have two of them one on each side Both placed decades ago. This is why you always should go to a specialist they see things that some dentist are just not trained or their x-rays don't show. So I see Dustin Altmann he is such a great guy...... very down to earth, excellent bedside manner, always right on schedule, & genuinely cares about his patients. I defiantly recommend OM3 and Dr Altman. I did see one of the other doctors I think it was Dr. Brady many years ago but I'm now Dr Altmanns patient. They do require a referral from a dentist but prices are good and they are very well sought after Oral Surgeon's not to mention they have three different locations which will allow more flexibility. The nurse while they were putting stitches in my mouth or while they were numbing me was rubbing my arm to distract me. What a sweetheart. I just can't say enough for this great place and yes all the doctors are easy on the eyes lol As for the office staff oh my goodness they're all just amazing. Trey who helped me schedule everything was awesome and it was kind of fun seeing him at both the Smokey Point and the Snohomish location!! Thank you to all the amazing staff and doctors for genuinely caring. Anevay at the front desk is very friendly, welcoming and efficient. Ashanta is outstanding - funny, charming, personable and very good at what she does. Amanda explained the charges thoroughly and she is warm, communicative, and professional. Dr. Lowe is the best! He is caring, knowledgeable, and truly excellent at what he does. He takes the time to listen, answer questions, and make sure the patient feels comfortable. He also has to be the fastest and most expert oral surgeon I've ever seen. He had two extractions to do for my mom and she was in and out in less than 30 minutes with almost no swelling, minimal pain, and very smooth healing. He's a unicorn! My daughter has a lot of anxiety around the dentist from some awful past experiences, but Dr. Lowe and his team put her right at ease. We will take her in soon to have her wisdom teeth out. From my very first consult with Dr. Whelan he put me at ease and took the time I needed to fully understand my options. My regular dentist referred me to OM3 which I went there and felt very uncomfortable. I asked a customer of mine that is a retired dentist who he would refer me to and that's how I met Dr. Whelan. The procedure was painless from the initial numbing until I left and still 10 hours later I am pain free. His expertise and calming manner really helped keep me relaxed. He also explained what he was doing along the way, which is so helpful because often times when you're sitting in the dentist chair you're wondering "what are they doing", or "how much time do I have left?" I never felt that he was hurried or rushed at all and I as incredibly grateful for his professionalism. I highly recommend Dr Whelan and his entire staff. Their quality of care truly shows in the best ways from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave, so accommodating in every way. My 92 yr old grandma goes here as well and recommended them to me which speaks volumes, if she loves them and can be comfortable from start to finish you know it's a great clinic I just have to add that the doctor actually listened to each problem that was brought up, did not try to get me spend or do more than what was necessary but actually broke things down into steps and estimates, so I can do what's best for my oral health on my terms. Where do I even start. I selected oral sedation for my gum graft surgery and was billed as such…read moreprior to my appointment. However, I was never prescribed a sedative in the group of 3 other medications they prescribed for me to pick up, so I assumed I would be given it on the day of my surgery. Nope. When I showed up they immediately took me back and I started panicking and asked where the sedative would be, and they tried to turn it on me and say I never picked it up (later they admitted to having never prescribed it). They still wanted to go ahead with the surgery with NO SEDATIVE and NO PAINKILLERS. At this point I was ready to cancel my surgery on the spot and run, but the doctor offered to make up for it with an IV sedative, *free of charge*. After the surgery I had nightmares for weeks due to how pushy they were to operate on me regardless of not having the proper sedative set up. They also got blood all over my shirt. I had already pre-paid my insurance estimate ahead of time, and just received a bill in the mail stating I owed another several hundred dollars. Upon closer inspection I realized they did end up charging me over $600 extra for the IV sedation that I had been told would be free of charge. The graft itself actually caused worse recession of my gums as it was placed too low and started pulling down my gumline. I went to another periodontist after for a second opinion and they said that not only had the surgery been completely unnecessary, but it was done via a decades out of date technique. They recommended I get treatment immediately for the recession caused by the IPANW surgeon. Lastly, I'd like to give an honorary mention to the receptionists at IPANW who are some of the most miserable, egotistical women I've met in my life. Coming into the office or giving them a call was always an awful experience and they did everything they could to make it as unwelcoming as possible. In the beginning when they'd forgotten to prescribe the oral sedative, they even hung up on me mid-call because they refused to accept that it had been their issue. Later their billing department performed an investigation and found that it had indeed been their fault. I highly, HIGHLY recommend avoiding this place and looking somewhere else. They've caused me so much pain, misery, and financial stress for an operation I hadn't even needed.

I stopped coming last year after the practice dropped my Delta Dental insurance. I recently decided to give them another try because I now have dental insurance through Cigna. Before my most recent appointment, I sent my insurance information in advance by email and also confirmed it by phone. The office booked the appointment with no mention of any issues. I drove there, took time out of my day, and once I was already sitting in the chair, I was told that the practice had dropped all insurance and asked if I wanted to proceed, pay out of pocket, and then personally deal with whatever reimbursement my insurance might or might not provide later. This conversation happened with a dental hygienist, not an office administrator, despite the practice having administrative staff, and it was extremely uncomfortable. It felt inappropriate for a clinical provider to be put in the position of handling a billing and insurance issue. I declined and left, having wasted time commuting and attending an appointment that should never have been booked under these circumstances. This same situation has happened to me before and is exactly why I stopped going previously. What is most concerning is that all responsibility is placed on the patient. You are expected to manage insurance reimbursement yourself, the practice takes no accountability, and they reserve the right to charge whatever they choose, often well above standard ADA fee guidelines. There was also no follow-up of any kind from the office after the visit. No courtesy call, no acknowledgment, and no attempt to address the situation, which further reinforced the lack of professionalism. The office is beautiful and the staff is welcoming, but the lack of upfront communication, pricing transparency, and professional handling of insurance matters feels misleading. I am sharing this so others are aware and can ask very direct questions before booking, especially if insurance coverage matters to you.
