Do not go here, we came in for a pre wisdom tooth removal exam and they told us we'd need bone grafts and tried to rush us in surgery before getting looked at elsewhere. they quoted close to 2 grand while we got those same exams at 2 other dentist offices and both quoted under 600 and both said that bone grafts would be completely unnecessary read more

This Dentist is not aware of others religious convictions, or human rights. I repeatedly stated that my religion doesn't allow me to give blind trust to anyone. I explained that her demands to trust her were invalid due to my religious convictions. She was less than professional and doesn't understand what a Veteran is (POW Veteran) and this goes to show you that no one cares about Veteran Disability status. That Veterans are a commodity to the US citizens and that service to country means Religious and Disability discrimination when seeking care. This dentist has some qualities that don't align with my Religious and Veteran Disability status. She's not qualified to treat Veterans in a POW status like myself. read more

I do not recommend this business unfortunately. I was so happy my first visit that I went home and recommended them to my mom who needed new dentures. It has been a nightmare ever since. We are a year later and she still does not have dentures that fit her correctly. She has paid $3000 out of pocket, she does not wear her teeth. She cannot wear her teeth. She has been back several times to see them to have them fitted correctly. Each time gets told to go home and wear them get used to them. No one listens to her. They're always in a hurry she is currently trying to find someone else to fix the dentures that she has already paid $3000 out-of-pocket for, whatever the insurance paid please don't waste your time and money. I'm so upset that I recommended them for her and she's having such a hard time. read more

I have been seeing this dentist for nearly seven years and as long as you have insurance, you can nearly count on adequate (if painful) service. But this year (2023), I was experiencing pain so the dentist (Dr. Gowda) advised the need for a crown. Then she advised me that I needed a SECOND crown. My insurance coverage was a yearly "nut" of $4000. When the work was done, I was not only in MORE PAIN, Dr. Gowda had emptied by insurance. Now, this was bad news but it got worse...much worse. The pain from the expensive new crowns was continuing for weeks thereafter so I returned to see what could be done. Uh oh! Dr. Gowda told me I needed an even more expensive ROOT CANAL on at least one tooth. The problem was that (according to her) there was no way to assess the need for a root canal until the crown was installed. But it's "only insurance coverage", right? Did I need TWO new crowns before the annual refill of my insurance? Did the actual procedures in both teeth awaken the twitchy nerves and exacerbate and sped up the problem? Why did Dr. Gowda choose to take the path of least resistance and do both teeth without first cheaply ascertaining that each tooth was ready for the new crowns? In other words, did BOTH teeth need crowns that quickly? Problem is, two new crowns emptied my insurance and a root canal couldn't wait AND would cost me MINIMUM of $3000 out of pocket. Angry? Oh yeah: I was livid. To top it off, there was a good chance that a NEW CROWN would be needed if the "old" crown was damaged by the root canal procedure. And that would have allowed Dr.Gowda to charge me TWICE. As luck would have it, I escaped the damage to the new crown. Regardless, a temporary filling by the Endodontist would have to be replaced BY THE ORIGINAL DENTIST and that would lead to ANOTHER out-of-pocket charge, which I can't afford. So where do I go? "Perfect" Smiles won't replace the temporary filling unless man's until I pay first. "Sorry but It's the office's policy" is the simple and cold response from the bookkeeper who represents Dr. Gowda (who made that decision). So who wins? Why, Dr. Gowda and the referred root canal doctor, of course! I am on a very fixed income so had to borrow money from my family to spend money they didn't have. I couldn't wait because the pain was signaling the urgency of the situation and I'm six months away from the turn-of-year insurance coverage to pay for a second root canal that it feels that I need. So, will the nerve root die, requiring my hospitalization? Stand by. I simply do not know. I do NOT, however, recommend Dr. Kavitha Gowda, whom I can always count on for pain, both physically and financially. This office is a money factory with little care for its patients. Now I'll sit back and wait for the inexorable calls and DM's from her office staff and/or her, which I understand is "policy" with her office. read more

I'm moving out of state, and, as silly as it sounds, this dental office is one of the things I will miss the most! The staff is so incredibly personable and kind. They always remember details about my job and my life, and I'm always greeted with a smile. Maggie, one of the receptionists, is very cheerful and helpful both over the phone and in person. Dental hygienist Jenny is a delight, and I love that Perfect Smiles always makes an effort to schedule me with her. Seeing the same hygienist each visit makes me feel secure that she'd notice any changes in my dental health. Dr. Gowda is very kind and professional, and she's excellent at explaining any upcoming dental procedures. I've also found that Perfect Smiles is up front with costs; I'm notified that fluoride is an additional charge before receiving it, and before receiving a gum grafting Maggie went over the cost with me and explained how much I'd be covering versus how much insurance would pay for. My gum recession has improved significantly thanks to Dr. Gowda's recommendations (a night guard, a new tooth brush, etc) and I've been told I have beautiful teeth! Not very respectful of people's time. My boyfriend was told to pick up his mouth guard, took off work and waited over 30 minutes in the lobby only to be told it wasn't even delivered yet. In addition they aren't very accommodating with reschedules and charge $75 even with over 24 hours warning. Tough policy for those with anxiety or other mental health issues. Like many of us, I'm apprehensive about going to the dentist... it's never been a comfortable experience for me. Yesterday, I was experiencing major tooth pain. I recently moved to the Everett area and didn't have a dentist here yet. I called into Perfect Smiles and they were able to get me into the clinic that same day! All of the staff there were exceptional! The receptionists were welcoming, personable, and professional. Everyone was on time (which I've also never experienced). The dental assistant and Dr. Gowda were both great- they immediately made me feel at ease, were efficient, and made the experience as comfortable as it could be. I feel confident in Dr. Gowda's hands- she's experienced, professional, and very knowledgable at what she does. I didn't know what to expect with all of the Covid-19 restrictions going on right now, and I was pleasantly surprised with the precautions they were taking. Before checking in, they had me call in when I got to the clinic to limit the amount of clients in their waiting room. When I entered, they immediately had me wash my hands (and had a full system for helping stop the spread of cross contamination). The office and staff are definitely surpassing the necessary regulations that our governor has set for WA state. If you're looking for a new dentist- I'd highly recommend checking this place out. From my two star rating above. Could've been better with full discloser up front. Misleading advertising for cleanings. The Dr. was VERY kind. I'm heading out of town & my regular dentist could not get me in for a last-minute cleaning. I ONLY want a cleaning. Kind of like scrub -a pup. In and out. No extra services at this time please. My dentist warned me of potential "upcharges". I told her the appointment maker mentioned nothing about what it did not include. Humpf. Reviews were decent for Perfect Smiles. I called, and was able to get an appointment on the NEXTday! YAY! Per my phone call, the cost is; $299.00 X-rays, examination, and two cleanings are included. Seems fair,especially for a last minute appointment. However, more than I would have spent at the my "home" office. A small price to pay for (next day service, it was worth it to me). After all the x-rays, the Dr. comes in to go over the treatment plan she sees fit. Very sweet BTW. I was up front that I was ONLY there for a cleaning. Here come the upcharges... I need a "deep cleaning" Ugh. I didn't even ask the upcharge price. I was so irritated. No mention of that sales pitch when I made the appointment over the phone. No cleaning for me. Nope, nada. Not today unless I agreed to the upcharge. Okaaaaay. Per the website, no mention of upcharge: "A deep cleaning will take longer than a regular cleaning. You may also receive medication to prevent further infection in your gums." Here is the good part. Dr. Gowda offered to refund me $150.00. I was going to be out $300 bucks that only gave me the xrays and a no- cleaning appointment. The front desk gal changed her tune from all business to a friendly dispostion when the Dr. gave her premission for the refund. They emailed me my records, refunded me the $150 All this to say, if you have insurance, it's probabaly a great deal. If you are cash like me... upcharges add up real quick- no discount for cash paying customers either. Thank you Dr. for the partial refund- it lessoned the sting of my non-teeth cleaning hour+ in the chair. Sidenote: The hygentist chairside manors were a little abrupt, had computer issues and was pretty vocal about making sure she knew how frustrated she was with it. ps... so over all the mask foolishness. Dr. Kavitha Gowda is so extremely kind and I can honestly say I enjoy seeing her when I have to go the to the dentist. The staff here always values your time and regular cleanings are quite fast. I have absolutely no complaints and would definitely recommend anyone go see her. I think the absolutely only thing I would comment on is that they don't carry orange cream fluoride... but maybe that's a weird request! She's located in the suites separate from the Everett Mall near the Macy's side, so you'll never have an issue with parking! Update (07/19/17): I've since moved to Seattle and it's too hard to commute with classes and work for a dentist appointment. I found a new location in Capitol Hill but it isn't even HALF as good as Perfect Smiles. In 6 months, I'm pretty sure I'll be coming back here. I've been a patient here for over a year now and Dr. Gowda, her staff, and associates have consistently been amazing. The office is always clean and very professional looking. The front desk always has someone tending to it, so you're not standing in an empty lobby. The front staff knows their jobs well and are quick with it. The little half-rooms you go into have little privacy, mostly because you can hear everyone's conversations and procedure, but they are always clean. Each station has it's own TV screen so you can watch the news, a relaxing fish video, or the doctor can show you your images. It's all very cool! There's even a spot to put your coat and things too! The dental assistants are very efficient, treat you like you're actually important to them, and explain everything that they're doing. They're also very gentle and are sensitive to those with anxiety issues. My favorite thing is they put together a treatment plan and put it out on paper for you, explain it to you thoroughly, and work with your budget and schedule. They make it clear that getting you your Perfect Smile is their goal and they do everything they can to help you. All around it's a great place! The staff is wonderful. The building is clean. And it's in the parking lot of the Everett Mall. So there's tons of parking! Come get your Perfect Smiles! read more

I found Dr. Gowda through yelp and made a appointment. I had a lot of dental problems but Dr. Gowda made a plan that would work for me and we went for it. It took a few months of once a week dental appointments but the end result is beautiful. I am very happy with my results. All of the dental work was mostly pain free. When my adult son and I went there this week, for him to catch up on a check-up and cleaning, everything and everyone was very nice, and they were very careful about Covid safety, which is crucial to us. Also they took their time with him, didn't rush through. But at the beginning, he decided to go for the annual plan, which the person assured us several times would cover everything at this visit. Afterward, another receptionist called us back to pay an additional $38 for a fluoride treatment that they had not asked him about. She explained that the person sometimes forgets to ask, and apologized, but I found it unconvincing and was especially disappointed since they knew he was not working and uninsured. read more

I got nothing but reassurance that it was okay and not to be embarrassed. An amazing dentist and staff. Dr. Kavitha Gowda is an artist, creative, problem solver, and kind. I'm 64 years old, and my mouth has been through many variations fixes. My bite is funky, very narrow mouth, and twisted teeth from expanders - including failed braces in my 20's. I went to Dr. Gowda for several years and loved her work, work ethic, and transparency. During this time she maintained my teeth and replaced my worn veneers. The replacements were beautiful. A defining moment for myself esteem. A few years ago, my employee dental insurance changed, and I was no longer able to see Dr. Gowda. Recently, I fell and broke my two front teeth. I knew I could not go to my insurance provided dentist and trust them to correct my broken smile. I returned to Dr. Gowda. Once again, she crafted my smile to perfection. My friends would describe me as an upbeat, bubbly person. My smile matches my personality. My teeth are BEAUTIFUL. If you are considering making a change to your smile, it is soooo worth it. Dr. Gowda is very gentle and careful with her patients. I feel like I'm going to the spa when I get into her office! You can watch your favorite movie, while getting a perfect smile.....She always educates me and shows me which tooth she is treating and she makes sure I'm comfortable with the procedure I have. I just had a gum surgery a couple of months ago at her office and both Dr. Gowda and the gum specialist checked on me every day . Dr Gowda does a nice job, and they offer a pretty nice in house dental plan that helps out of you don't have insurance. It's like $200 for the year, and it covers you cleanings, exam, etc, and 20% off all work you need done. Seeing as I needed fillings, a crown, etc, it was well worth it for me... saved me probably $500. I had to go in once with my high maintenance baby because my sitter canceled, and they were very patient and a hygienist played with him and held him for the whole visit :) They treat you very well here. read more

The staff at this office is the kindest and most attentive of any office I have been. I have enjoyed Dr. G and her associates. They are very knowledgeable and offer treatment for my entire family at one location. If I would change anything I would ask that they please remember that most people are on a very limited income and to not be so pushy with extra dental sales. Dr. Gowda is so sweet and gentle, truly the kindest dentist I've ever met. The only gripe I have is that half of her staff seem incompetent. As long as you get the better assistants, it's totally a 5-star dentistry. However, I seem to get the "bad" ones more often, so it's hard for me to give a full star rating. read more
