I'm probably the oldest client here as I've been coming since before any of the current staff started working here and they were in the old location across the street. In the last several years this place has went downhill! In the last year it has got even worse. The turn over never stops! We are in N Scottsdale and the girls at the front desk look like they are from a punk rock concert. On top of their unprofessional behavior they have no idea what they are doing. Vi was amazing at spray tans and she was let go! Like I said if it weren't for Marley I would be out of here and I would love for Marley to go elsewhere as this place doesn't deserve my money! I went want back so she can fix them and they still look uneven there was tint running down my eyebrow and around my eyebrow it looks very messy. This business advertises and sells Groupons but when you show up and after you receive your service they tell you that they don't honor it and you must pay full price, which is 73% more than the cost of the Groupon. Super Ethical. Also, as if that bait and switch wasn't enough... if you show up only 4 minutes late after driving however long to get there, they tell you they have a strict policy for lateness and that you must reschedule for an appointment two weeks later, and hopefully you'll make it on time in the future; really kind, understanding people here. Oh, and they also suck at what they do, so there's no reason to give these people money. Head to your local beauty school for a higher level of service and competence. Kyra is so good at what she does that it seems effortless; she's all about the details and applying lashes the right way. FYI I'm Asian and my lashes are not the easiest to work with. I mentioned at my first appointment with Kyra that I didn't like the symmetrical look and prefer more of a mismatched long and short mixture; she did my lashes EXACTLY how I wanted and put a Full Set on in just over an hour. My extensions also stay on and look great/get complements even 3-4 weeks after (without a fill) - Another thing I love is that when I do get my fills, she doesn't cut my real lashes and allows them to grow out on their own/shed naturally. Kyra is so efficient, my Fills take about 30 minutes. I've gotten my lashes done by multiple people in the past and didn't think much of how they were applying my lashes, the glue they used and the fact that my real lashes were falling out (I just thought it was normal) also, a Full Set would take over 2 hours and a Fill would take an hour. I know if I ever take off my lash extensions my real lashes with be healthy and strong. I understand that everyone's lashes are different but this is my experience and the people I've sent to Kyra absolutely love their lashes as well! They have an AD saying that its $3 per unit for Dysport. I go in, Lindsay says "its gonna be 60 units total".. cool. I do the math, 60 times $3 is $180. Get to the counter to pay, she charges me $180. THEN Lindsay comes back and says, "oh i wrote it down wrong, its 180".. so the girl at the fron tells me its equal to Botox or something and charges me ANOTHER $360. No where in fine print does it say anything about them charging me the same price as Botox if thats not what i got. And how they got that number when she gave me 60 units of Dysport is a mystery to me. No one explained shit to me. I woulda never went there if i knew that. read more

I recently went in for a spray tan, and it was the worst spray tan I have ever received. After the application, I felt sticky until I showered. The guide color was so orange and left dots all over my skin. There was no way I could go out in public before showering. After 6 hours, I was starting to worry about how well it would even wash off because the guide color was so bad, so I showered and many of the dots did not wash off. It took about a week for the dots to fade and continued to be very splotchy. Stay away! read more

Love Mai- her retention is amazing, normally mine look pretty sparse and need touching up before week 2 with other places; I'm on week 3 due to my chaotic work schedule before the holidays and I'm STILL getting compliments on my lashes. I could probably go another week if I needed, but since rescheduling was so convenient (all online) I was able to get an appointment before we leave out of town to make sure they're full. She is fast, had my full set done within an hour and did an awesome job... so for those that can't sit still for long.... she is your girl. My lashes are still in good health, i have yet to lose my natural lashes with the extension attached (although i know it's to be expected from shedding). After seeing great reviews online (which they must have given customer discounts to bribe for good reviews)- I decided to make an appointment for an airbrush tan. Talk about the Wal Mart of salons. They are more focused on an assembly line rather than customer service. No customization, in and out appointments and no time to even listen to what you want. I was running 3 min late after waiting for the babysitter to arrive to watch my 1 year old. I walked in 5 min after my appt time and was told that my appointment had been canceled as a no show. The lady working the front went to the back to get someone else and by the time they made it back up front and went through their policy then it was 7 min after the hour. I hope they never make a client wait 5 min to see someone because their policy will cancel your appt if you walk in 5 min late- not to mention they probably have the tan mixed up before you arrive bc they won't have time to mix it and give you a tan before their next client arrives! I tried this place out a couple of times due to the Groupon offer. I have come to the concluding they do the exact same eyelashes every time. Both times I asked for Classic and said I wanted a very natural look, just so I don't have to wear mascara. I don't want showy or overly full lashes. Both times, despite my requests, they gave me volume lashes that didn't look natural at all abs felt very heavy. That was with two different technicians. I bought a Groupon for this lash extension place after seeing so many positive reviews on Yelp. When I went in for my appointment on Tuesday, September 22nd, I told my artist Marley that I wanted something between classic lashes and a light hybrid. I showed her the photo from Pinterest attached to this review, and told her I liked 1 and 2 and would be happy with either. She assured me she could do a lighter hybrid, and away we went. Marley was very sweet and personable, and we had a great conversation the entire time she did my lashes. When we were finished (after right about 70 minutes), she gave me a mirror to show me my lashes, and much to my surprise they were significantly fuller than I was expecting. She must have sensed my surprise, because she asked what I thought. I wasn't overly thrilled with them because they were so full, but I needed to get to work so I told her I liked them, tipped, and went on my merry way. I followed directions and did not get these extensions wet for over 48 hours. When I did washed them, I used foaming cleanser and used a fluffy eyeshadow brush so as not to damage them. I began losing lashes on Wednesday, but it was helping them look more natural, so I wasn't worried. Except that by Friday, I had lost quite a few extensions and fans - ONLY from my right eye. By Saturday morning (the day of my birthday celebrations), I had a full bald-looking spot in my right eye. Thankfully I had saved a few fans, and used falsie lash glue to put some back to try to even it out. By Monday I had lost even more (still exclusively from my right eye), so I called Stellar Lash to have them removed. The receptionist told me that because it had been less than a week, I could have them fixed or removed. I opted for removal, as I was (and am) so frustrated by the experience. I went in yesterday for my removal appointment and an incredibly kind woman removed the lashes for me - or rather, tried. We went through 4 applications of the glue removed and I still have eyelashes stuck to my left eye. The removal process should have taken 30-45 minutes (according to the receptionist when I called), and it took over an hour and 15 minutes for me and there are still extensions present. The woman who removed my lashes (seriously - such a sweet woman) was afraid to damage my real lashes, so she sent me on my way. On my way out, she asked the receptionist not to charge me for the removal because she couldn't get all the lashes off. Here's where I get extra frustrated, because a cost was never mentioned to me when I made the removal appointment and the lashes were only on for a week. In my opinion, it would have been absolutely wrong to charge me for a removal when I wouldn't have needed it if my original lash artist had done a good job and followed my request. When I got there (I was 5 minutes late and called them to tell them i'd be 5 mins late), there were two older teen girls chatting in the lobby chairs. One of them stood up when I arrived to check me in and and haughtily points me to the stack of clipboards on the front desk that needed to be filled out. She sits back down on the lobby chair to continue chatting with her friend, leaving me nowhere to sit except the empty chair behind the front desk meant for the receptionist. (Sorry for interrupting your socializing, girls!) So I just fill out the four pages of paperwork while standing. Dasia, the lash tech (?), came out shortly as I was finishing the paperwork and escorted me back to the room. As we're walking, she asks me if this is my first time ever getting lashes and I say yes. She asks if I want classic or volume. Uh...first timer here, i remind her...what's the difference i ask. She replies with stating the volume lashes actually take less time to put on (gee, I'm feeling like i'm being lead toward the faster option, so you can be done with work). I explain that i'm looking for volume, not drama or length. We get in the room, she looks at my lashes, and she says she'll figure it out. During the appt, one of the teens walks in, Dasia tells her the appt will only take 45 minutes and not 2 hours as estimated. Teen giggles and says ok and that she has to pee. Wow. Um ok. The lash tech has difficulty getting the lower lash gel pads to stay in place and ends up using medical tape. She proceeds to apply the lashes but does not tell me anything abt what she is doing, or what to expect. This is a bit unnerving for a first time experience. When she finishes, she peels the medical tape from my first under eye area without even telling me she was going to do so! Holy ouch! She apologized that it was painful at least. As I was checking out, Dasia is trying to talk to me about how to take care of the lashes but same teen girl rude just jumps right in and asks for payment. Doesn't apologize at all for interrupting. She just wants to be done and close the shop! Bottom line, this was a not so great experience with this salon. * Kyra, the owner, called and texted me to help me after this experience. I was hesitant booking for lash extensions through Groupon just because it's a service that's typically much more expensive but I am so happy I gave them a try. Erin did my extensions and I absolutely love them. I've been to 3 different salons and this is by far the best. She was friendly and made me comfortable and she was able to apply a full set it in 1.5 hrs. I'm used to having to lay through over 2 hours of work so this is a huge bonus. My first time coming to Stellar lash one of the artist did my lashes and she was beyond amazing they lasted forever and were perfect I would give a full 5 star. I couldn't remember her name and I was bummed because I wanted to rebook with her, but instead I got the eyelash artist Marley. When I went with Marley the lashes were already falling out by the time I got home and my right eye lashes was clumped/glued together. This is going to ruin my natural lashes when these extensions fall out. I also asked for a hybrid fill and what I got was all volume there was no classics. I drove an hour to get my eyelashes done and I couldn't even get my lashes filled again this time because of how bad they were. Now I have to wait for them to fall out to get them filled.
