I never leave reviews places but I was so impressed with Aria I had to. I moved to Grand Rapids a few months ago and ever since my move I've been looking for my new nail place and I finally found it! I tried so many other top rated nail salons in the area and either wasn't thrilled with the service or the prices were outrageous at all of them. I tried Aria this week and they did an amazing job! I got a classic pedicure with gel polish and builder gel with a design for my hands and everything was exactly what I asked for. The whole place felt clean and well kept, the pedicure was relaxing and the woman helping me took her time and did a great job. Swan did my nails and was meticulous about getting them exactly as the inspo picture I showed her. She checked in with me several times to make sure I liked them and was so patient when I changed my mind 3 times on what color/design I wanted. My appointment was in the evening and even ran long, a little past their closing time, and I didn't feel like they were rushing to finish or get me out the door at any point. Their pricing seemed very fair compared to many other places I've been and they even made sure to clarify exactly what I was paying for with each service. I had originally made an appointment for a builder gel full set because I had Gel X on my nails from another salon. When I got there they looked at my nails and told me they could work with my current nails and do a builder gel fill to save me $10 instead of charging me for a full set. They could have just kept my appointment as-is and charged me for a full set since my nails had been done somewhere else and I never would have known. The fact that they offered me a better option speaks volumes to their honesty and how much they care about their customers! I was very impressed. Overall I paid exactly what I expected based on their website pricing (even less actually thanks to the fill). I got the classic pedicure with gel polish, I asked for French style on my toes ($10), I got a builder gel fill, and I asked for a design on my nails ($10). All together I think I paid $123 which is exactly what I had expected. (I paid that price just for my finger nails at another highly rated salon in the area that charged me a $10 add-on just to clean up my cuticles and call it a manicure, and also charged a $10 add-on just for putting polish over my clear gel x set) Overall this place was clean, friendly, had very up front and fair pricing with nothing hidden as an unexpected "add-on", and they did exactly what I asked for without rushing. I Highly recommend! - a side note for anyone like me - my nails grow very quickly, so I'm always looking for a nail salon that will clean up my cuticles and get my set as close to my nail bed as safely possible so they don't look grown out in just a few days. Punctuality and customer service are essential in a service-based business. While occasional delays may be unavoidable, how those situations are handled makes a significant difference. I was The only person in the shop. Yet there are 4 foot stations and four nail stations? There was dirty laundry piled up and it smelled horrible. She did a pedicure and a fill. About a week after the pedicure I contracted a foot fungus and I can only imagine it came from her shop. I never went back. Sorry I don't have photos to show. But I'm happy to dig up a bank receipt because I paid her through Venmo. And I also tipped her 20 bucks cash.
