One…read moreweek after my first visit, the color had washed out and the grey roots were clearly visible. To be fair, she got me in right away an recolored it, thankfully, because it looked terrible. After my second visit, the color lasted for two weeks but had to be corrected again. The roots didn't turn as grey, but my hair went from brown to copper red. Lorena was able to fix it within a couple of days, so I tried again. I hoped by then, she would do a better job. Unfortunately, that third appointment was not a good decision: so much of the color washed out, my grandson asked me if I had dyed my hair blond. This is not a problem I have ever had in the past, so don't understand why Lorena couldn't get it right. I finally gave up and switched to another hair stylist at a different salon. My color has been perfect ever since.

My stylist was Marie, who was so sweet and listened to all of my wishes and concerns about my wedding day look. She seriously is a hair magician- my hair is not easy to work with (very fine, slippery, but a LOT of hair), and she totally crushed it. It was my first visit to Oggi, and I will definitely be returning. I have long thick wavy hair which can be intimidating, but Nikki got straight down to business assessing my needs, looking at photos, and making some genius suggestions for my new style. She was extremely professional, friendly, and efficient. She made me feel welcome, but also focused on the job at hand, which I appreciated. The interior of the salon itself isn't that memorable, apart from the separate coat room which is a plus. (The receptionist will instruct you to hang your coat and select a frock to adorn during your session - a nice touch in the winter when you're wearing a zillion layers!) There's lot of parking available in the back. And the salon is right next to Starbucks - great location for caffeinoids like myself. The cut itself is what impressed me the most. I recently had to call 11 times on a weekday mid-morning just to have someone answer the phone. If they don't answer, they do not have voice-mail set up. It's frustrating. On my last visit I also found staff members to be short with myself and the person accompanying me. Not the best customer service here anymore unfortunately.

I have a wedding this weekend and didn't know what to do. Got a last minute appointment with Jen and I am so thrilled I did. I was just looking for my hair to not be as yellow, since I didn't think anyone could fix it in one appointment. Jen took out the yellow tiger stripes and blotchy spots, and gave me the most beautiful and natural looking highlights. My hair has dimension and is super shiny again. Seriously, she worked some magic :) I'm so happy I finally found a salon in CT! And the prices here are super reasonable. I should note, Ashley is fabulous as well.
