She will not try to force a product on you to make a sale, she owns her shop, loves her job and takes pride in everything she does. You get MORE than what you are paying for, she goes above & beyond to make sure you are happy. But you do need to be prepared for honesty. She will not sugar coat anything, if you ask her something about a style or color you are wanting, she will give you her honest opinion, no holds barred. She explains her reasoning to you, factors in your face shape, skin tone, hair type and color (natural or dyed, healthy or damaged) if you want to go blonde but have black hair, she will straight up tell you NO, if your blonde and want to go red, again, she will tell you NO. She isn't rude about it, just honest and I truly love that about her. She makes you feel like you are part of the family, not just a number or a name on a waiting list. Amber Shelton, oh the sweetest person in the world, just as amazing, with the sweetest personality, but just as honest as Susuan. She is actually the stylist I use and have used since 2008. I actually moved over an hour away in 2011, but I won't let anyone else touch my hair. I make that drive to Susuan's shop, just to have my hair done by Amber, she is that good. I recently convinced my husband to let me take my 17 year old (step) daughter to Amber, to get her hair done by a real stylist, mit the butchers around here to get highlights for the 1st time. She is a natural red head, who had never done anything to her hair chemically, other than a trim or complete butcher job that had her in tears for weeks. Couple times since I been going there. People cutting hair today 07/26/2025. Not professional at all and not people person. Had to wait 8 minutes before anyone came to the front to wait on me. Then a girl said nothing to me she was with another person that Came in right behind me she was a woman. The stylist was waiting on the lady that came in behind me I stood there and finally ask her if she was the only one working she never said nothing. So I asked her if anyone else working Then she said yes they would be back shortly so I wait got a fade done but I don't think they knew how. 1.5 sides and 4 on top easy cut but she got it wrong. No neck clean up no eyebrows clean up and said nothing to me at all except for when I tried to speak. Worse hair cut ever. Looks like an oblong basketball she said $20.00 dollars do they not do clean ups on men no more? Like the neck and eyebrows no cut hair blow off nothing I had to go out the door shaking hair off me. My wife had to finish my hair cut up when I got home. Some people should work by themselves and not with other people . I know they like the women hair cut more than the men. But if they don't like doing the men they should say we don't do men hair cuts. I went to R & Co Salon today to get a hair cut. I did not have an appointment. When I got there,…read morethere were no customers in the shop. I walked in and asked if I could get a haircut. I was told there was no one to do walk-ins. I asked if they could cut my hair at that time. The lady said no, that i had to have an appointment and the next appointment was on Thursday. I was the only customer in the salon at that time. I have been getting my hair cut at this Ross the Boss for many years and the lady I spoke with didn't know who I was. I was probably in the salon for 15 min and could have gotten a hair cut during that time. I was hurt that they didn't know me since I hade been getting my hair cut there for so many years. I told her never mind and went to Sport Clips. I didn't have an appointment there either. I was able to get my hair cut in 8 min at Sport Clips. I will not be getting my hair cut at this R & Co Salon in the future. I am very disappointed.

They have a new manager since his review and she has really turned this place around. Lynn is an EXCELLENT manager as well as stylist. I'm a bit of a hair snob so I don't say things like that lightly. Brandy is also an excellent stylist and when Lynn isn't available i will use her, and i always like what she does. I can't remember the other stylists name, but she is good as well. I think if you give them a try you will like them. I can definitely recommend this salon.
