I'm in my late 20s and have been getting preventative "baby botox" for the last 2-3 years on my forehead and 11s. "Baby Botox" means getting a lower dosage so I can still look natural with slight movement in my face. I don't like my face completely frozen, but some women do which is totally cool too! I've been going to Nurse Gardenia for the last year, and she's very gentle and doesn't pressure you. I get Dysport which is a different brand of Botox but it all works the same. Everyone I meet doesn't believe I get Botox because it looks more natural than a Khardasian. I love how smooth my forehead looks! I came to Beauty Cult about 5 months ago asking for a very natural Botox result and was clear that I didn't want too much product. Unfortunately, the results were the opposite--my eyes felt very heavy, I looked frozen and overdone, which made me uncomfortable. I brought this up respectfully and professionally, and while I appreciated that they refunded less than half of what I paid, I left feeling disappointed. After some time passed, about 3 months, and the Botox wore off, I actually liked how it looked. So I reached out again, thinking I'd give it another try considering Gardenia was very sweet--this time requesting half the original dosage and communicating clearly what I wanted. Surprisingly, I was told they didn't feel they could meet my expectations and was encouraged to go elsewhere. I find this response unprofessional and frankly, personal. I came in with reasonable expectations and was polite throughout. It seems that my earlier feedback--though kind and respectful--was taken the wrong way. At this point, I can't help but wonder if the refusal to treat me again has less to do with expectations and more to do with profitability. The more units used, the more money made--and perhaps a lighter, more conservative approach just isn't worth their time. I'm sharing this so others who prefer a subtle, natural look know what to expect in terms of both treatment and customer service and to make others aware of how feedback might be received. read more

LISTEN! I drove over an hour from the other side of yonder to visit Dr. Yu. Long story short, I had a few experiences that didn't turn out the greatest because of desperate attempts to restore my unique under eye trough area. Some doing and undoing left me feeling terrible and lacking confidence. Dr. Yu was an INCREDIBLE listener, she was not pushy, showed empathy, and very patient! She even went as far to explain things to me at least 7 times after I kept asking her to confirm we were on the same page and that I understood. I was IMMEDIATELY pleased with the difference when we both thought nothing could be done! But the alternative solution made a big difference! One side of my face which seemed deflated from previous dissolvent (and what I considered my "good side for photos") was restored! She was also able to reduce the MAJOR eye bag on the other side of my face. Dr. Yu took her time, used the filler (Restylane Lift/Lyft) very conservatively, little by little.. I left so happy! But then I went to my car and noticed some minor swelling... So I went back in about 5 minutes later to ask Dr. Yu about it and she was so patient! Even stepping away from a snack to let me know everything would be fine -- which it has! I think I have found my beauty consultant --- FINALLY! And her ENTIRE team is so professional!
