This is a review for the Hydrafacial I did with Annie. The pictures below show how badly she MESSED my face up. I mean my skin had blisters that were oozing it was so bad . For an entire week I felt embarrassed, depressed, and SHAMEFUL. I stayed at home just to avoid being seen in public! I should've noted the first red flag when she showed up 15 mins late and took another 5 mins getting the facial room ready. She made absolutely no attempt to apologize, let alone acknowledge the fact that she arrived late and caused my appointment to fall 20 minutes behind. It also didn't come across her mind to introduce herself or even ask me for my name when she first walked in. Now inside the facial room, before we began I shared with Annie a brief background on my skin. I told her that I use Tazorac, one of the strongest prescription retinoids. A professional who has experience and knows what they are doing would've understood that my skin didn't need any additional exfoliation. Annie proceeds to cleanse my skin and to my HORROR, the next product she applies on me was a SCRUB. Within seconds I felt my skin burning up. When I mentioned it, Annie said that it's because she used a volcanic ash scrub. Why she thought this was a great idea I have NO clue, it still baffles me! Throughout the rest of my time there, I mentioned several times that I kept feeling my skin burn. She used a high frequency wand that made my skin feel so sensitive. Normally during other facials I've gotten this wand and it makes me tingle a little... but when she was doing it I was noticeably flinching. After a few times of telling her how sensitive my skin was feeling, she said she'd lower the setting. Out of curiosity I asked her what setting she had it on and she said it was on level 5... the highest level a 10. OMG !!! No wonder my skin felt so sensitive, I could've probably tolerated a 2 or a 3.. maybe. But she had already set it for half of the strength without even testing it on me first. The carelessness ! I suspect that this was one of the reasons that contributed to the blisters that appeared on my skin. If you are reading this Annie, I wish you did better. Next time when a client tells you their skin is burning, TAKE WHAT THEY ARE SAYING SERIOUSLY. This is NOT how customer service should be. I'm disappointed by the way how my experience was handled as you were made aware and you did nothing to reach out to me. Your excuse was that you didn't have my number. So you can take my payment through Zelle, but you can't go back to look up my phone # ? If you cared about your clients at all the least that you could do is follow up with them especially since it was you that created this mess on my skin. On top of being late, you obviously could care less and you have no remorse. So for that I could NEVER refer anyone to do a facial with you. Not only do I feel terrible for what happened to me, I would feel even more terrible if this happened to somebody else. PLEASE THINK CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO DO A FACIAL WITH ANNIE. All the hard work I put into my skincare just went down the drain. Annie, don't bother responding to me with an argument on this review. It's too late now to pretend that you care. Be aware her prices are extremely high and you will need several separate services for brows. Purchased a groupon from annie (owner) and was unable to use. When I sent pictures of my brows Annie said I would need 2 appointments. I had sent $50 deposit for appointment and had to reschedule once due to flu. I gave her 30 hours notice and was told no problems with rescheduling. Fast forward to a week before my appointment time I realized I would need several appointments with Annie (at least 3-4). Please do not come here or get her microblading service. She doesn't measure your eyebrows like professionals. She doesn't use a numb cream until after she cuts you. I'm so happy with my new brows! My brows were originally done ten years ago using the old tattoo method. The color had faded and had a pink tone. Annie was able to cover up the old tattoo and recreate new looking brows which gave me a new look! Annie is extremely detailed at her work and makes the process easy and comfortable. This review is coming from a client who's pretty frugal when it comes to beauty services and coupons. (growing up with $15 women haircuts down the block from your local Vietnamese salons) I'm not a lash expert but I have had my lashes done three times and am aware enough to know when the adhesive is irritating my mucosal membranes. The actual eyelash service from Annie was very pleasing. She asked what sort of look or flare I was going for and delivered precisely! :) Natural with a little bit flare is how I like it. The appointment was easy to book because she communicates through text. She's friendly and courteous so it felt like a gal pal was doing my lashes. The salon itself wasn't your diamond 5 star luxury salon. Just know it is little salon closet and Annie is also a nursing student - so that hustle life isn't easy. The ambiance is mildly cluttered, but who cares about ambiance when you can get mink lashes done for such a great deal. Professionalism is present but could be better. I would stray from booking back to back with clients and give more buffer time inbetween. The quality will TBD but so far so good! Don't forget what you committed to as a client! You gotta take care of your lashes too and sleep like a vampire and stray away from water in the eyes if you want them to last. Tip: The salon is in a complex suite filled with other salons! So you're in the right place if you're near the bank. I'm an advocate for entrepreneurs so I do encourage you to contact her first before you purchase the Groupon/ or screen shot it with the coupon codes to see if she will honor it. I got my hair done here this week. I found her on Groupon and called her directly, she honored the pricing on there. I paid about $135 total for a balyage, deep condition, cut, dry, style. I had alot of horror hair stories and I'm always wary of getting my hair done. But she listened to what I wanted and she definitely delivered.
