I visited 3 girls approximately 2 months ago and purposely waited before writing my review. Tammy ATE DOWN, okay!! I LOVED my hair. The hair didn't shed much the entire 2 months I kept my extensions. The braids were easy to take down, styling was superb and all the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and good stylist. Bay-bee, my hair lasted 2 months with no problem. I only took it down because I wanted to wash and treat my natural hair. I'd recommend 3 Girls and a Needle for sure. As a matter of fact, I'm booking my second appointment tomorrow, 8am. Couldn't even get the chance to get my hair done due to poor customer service. I called Friday morning at 9:05am and left a voicemail to double check availability, but didn't get a response. I went to the salon around 2:30 and was told they stop taking people at 1:30. It would be nice to be told about policies when their business model makes it seem they have true availability for walk-ins. Wish I could have supported this business, but being turned around without even being asked to set an appointment or anything else is upsetting. They were very thorough, professional and patient with me. Had an early appointment at 5:45am. By 6 Latravia was working her magic on my hair. As I sat in your chair for the final room change, I couldn't fight back the tears of feeling mistreated; you finally finishing my hair at 11:38am. Your lack of customer service towards me was reprehensible. When I arrived at 8am, the door was locked, the front reception area was dark and I wasn't sure if anyone was there's or you were open because you didn't answer the door until I rang the doorbell three times. There were no customers waiting in the front lobby or in the blue seats. I have checked your website, social media, your front lobby, and my receipts. None indicate service time takes 2-4 hours. Nor when I scheduled my appointment was it mentioned. You have been in business for 20 years, yet your service times are not indicated. I've had three previous appointments at your salon and each time was finished in 2 1/2 hours. Additionally, I received service from the same stylist from beginning to end and was not moved three times. Unlike yesterday, I was moved three times. As I sat in the seat of the owner for the final room change, I couldn't fight back the tears of feeling mistreated; you finally finishing my hair at 11:38 am. 2nd visit love my hair! I added on net this time and it extremely thigh at my temple area. I pray I don't have breakage. Shia not sure of the spelling of her name was awesome didn't braid tight and accommodated my needs. I went to get a sew-in in April once I got home I realized it was too tight I contacted the owner and she told me to come in the next morning to fix it. I have been coming to 3 Girls and a Needle 2-3 times a year for at least 5 years. Today was the worst service I have ever received. I had a 7:00 a.m. appointment, I got there 10 minutes early. They make you pay in advance now, which I didn't have a problem with. I paid the amount that the young lady told me and while she was braiding my hair this person who I assume is the new manager or was filling in for the manager came in and told her she didn't charge me enough. She said the closure was more because I didn't buy hair from them. I didn't know that was a thing. Then she came back into the room and told me that it was going to be $14.00 more. Frankly, I felt they should have eaten that cost, because they made the mistake. She then pull the girl that who had braided my hair, put my net on and had sewed one track to go do someone else hair. It was only supposed to be for a few minutes. She ended weaving the women's full weave and I sat there for an hour before anyone came into the room to tell me that she was almost finished, then another young lady came in mumbled something and then she left out of the room and didn't say anything. Then a pregnant women came in, picked up the hair, put it back down and walked out. The second young lady came back and put the weave in, but didn't put in all the hair. I have half my hair left over. The original girl came back to style my hair and asked me if I wanted more hair added. I didn't realize the girl had only put in half my hair, so I told her yes to add more hair. I don't know what is going on, but this will be the last time I step foot in 3 Girls and a Needle. Advertising Fraud This place website states $99 for a traditional sew-in. Once I got to the business the cashier told me $119 plus $30 for a net and $20 for each bundle added after two. My total was $175 I told that cashier the website doesn't state that and she said their price changed last year that is out of her control. Do I want my hair done or not. Customer service was good and they saw me right away is the only reason for 2 stars. My hair looked fine inside but when I got to the outside lighting in my car the bangs looked chopped up and crazy. I decided when I go home I'll fix it. But when I got home it was worse than I thought big spaces in the back of my head that should have had tracks. The sew-in looked like a child did my hair I was so disappointed and confused as to why the stylist made me walk outside looking like that. I called them the next day because it was already late in the night by the time I noticed. They were nice about it and made me come in to get it fixed. Both the manager and the girl who messed up my hair apologized to me which I appreciated. The manager had my hair looking way better than what the stylist did before. I took a look in the mirror It looked good I said thank you and left. I went to work only for my co-worker to say "What's that in the back of your head girl your tracks are falling out" Oh lord the embarrassment. I went in the bathroom omg tracks are falling out from the back and the sides. My problem is this why are my tracks falling out and my hair isn't even a week old yet? I refuse to drive for a 3rd time to get anything fixed at this point it's just too much for a style that's not even old yet. She was sooo nice and very upfront and honest about my hair and the length. I couldn't get a regular sew in because my hair was so short but she advised me on trying a wig. I am so glad I did!!! The lady did the sew in for my daughter left a big gap after I informed them I will purchase an Additional bundle. When I sent an email and ask why this happen the excuse they said was she does not like her hair being full and they do not like mix their company hair wit other brands even if it is a match. I used to be a faithful customer to this salon years ago when they were located in Ellenwood... because they were the beat inAtlanta I my opinion ...and I WAS NEVER disappointed. So I was excited to go to them because I was comfortable and familiar with their skills.... but now !!!!! I can't say the same ... My hair is cut short so I knew that I would need to add the hair net to secure the hair better . The girl ..who braided my hair down braided it ok so I thought, ... I wanted a closure so that would not have to mess with my hair at all ... so ... I have only had the sew in for two weeks and the netting is loose ... and not surely at all .... the way the closure was done makes the hair style look like a wig, it's lumpy and the hair Near the nap of my neck is hanging out of the braid .. it literally looks like I have had this Sew - in for 2 months instead of two weeks ..... they changed me $20 for the for the third bundle even tho she only used a little piece to close the closure... feel like I got ripped off big time ... REALLY was disappointed because I paid $289 for the hair then another $229 for the hair to be sewn in ... I jist saw my aunt hair and it looked horrible. It was shedding like crazy and the closure that she bought was even worse. After having the hair for 2 wks and spending over $200 it was a shame. She actually called the shop to let them know what was going on with the hair and they basically dismissed her and said the problem was her fault....that she over processed the hair without even asking her if she processed it in the first place. Customer service to me is everything and their customer service was terrible. They never even asked her to come in so they could see the hair. Even though im not the one who bought the hair, i just felt terrible for her and had to write this. When i purchase my hair the retailer let's me know how to care for my hair. Great place because they are super friendly and fast. I like how the professional they are. They offer you coffee, hot chocolate, tea, or wine. All the women here are very nice and educated. The only thing I wish they would advise more on healthcare and maintenance. The also charge more if you use more than two packs or bundles. read more

I was just in a couple of days ago. I have a head full of natural curls so it was my fault that I didn't blow my curls straight. I didn't know I had to do that. I thought my hair only needed to be clean, dry and free of product. She attempted to comb through my natural hair with a rat tail comb. Very painful!! Then she finally used a blow dryer to blow my hair straight even though I was charged an extra $15 she showed me how to blow my curls straight. So on to the braiding... She braided my hair in a odd pattern and the braids were huge! I asked her not to double track my hair and my hair was double and triple tracked. I like 3 girls because you can get a last-minute appointment or even a walk-in the same day, and you're always serviced without a wait. I've been there twice, and the sew-ins have been done well, no major issues. They can install, blow dry and flat iron really well, but lack in cutting and styling. They actually don't cut or style at all. I have to either cut/style myself at home, or go to another more professional salon for that part, but they are licensed and can install just fine. They are definitely reasonably priced under $200 for a basic sew-in. They don't wash and treat natural hair, and lack the proper knowledge regarding natural hair. Most of their clients must still have relaxers, because I had to pull out a wide toothed comb for one of the ladies doing my hair, because she was trying to .... never mind, but a big downfall. I wish they had more knowledge and care for natural hair, I'd probably be a regular if they did. Also, you can't necessarily get the same person over and over again, so you have to be okay and trusting of anyone there doing your hair. I had one person, initially, and then another came and finished her work without warning. I didn't like that. It's kind of like an assembly line for hair styling. The technicians are a bit aloof and only really friendly towards one another, probably because of the assembly line and in/out quick environment, so they don't really get to know their customers, and are cool and aloof. Overall, I would recommend 3 girls if you need your hair done quickly, last minute and reasonably priced. My natural hair edges came completely out. I have a bald spot at my temple. I went back the next morning to advise my hair was too tight so they cut the net on my braids and told me it would be best to removed the entire sew-in which I should have after this experience taking it down "was what I should have done" but I had paid $265.00 & I definitely could have be treated better and been offered to do my hair again. I had an engagement to attend so it was inconvenient. Bad attitudes and poor customer service lead to this. Save your hair and go somewhere where you will be respected. read more

Again, this review is only for the their online hair store. I brought two more bundles of the 24" body wave to make clip in hair extensions for pigtails. Once again I was so happy with them. I love that the hair is not super shiny like some I have brought in other places. It looks just like my hair. It withstands the curling iron very well. But I mostly use old school sponge rollers. The first bundle I brought in 2015 still looks great! Still no tangling or falling out :) read more

This was my first time there, first let me say that they started on time, I had no idea exactly what I wanted but I had a pic and they helped me figure it out after about 15 minutes of that they kept a smile on their face got me hair and were extremely professiona! my braided was wonderful she didn't tug at my ends until they popled but was careful to preserve my already weak edges, then my sewer came in a whipped up that hair in my head in no time flat and she did not clip my scalp once! Then the styler finished the hair off and OMG I look like I just stepped off the cover of a magazine . I was unable to make an appointment with a my hairdresser that I had been going to for the past 7 years and was in drastic need. She couldn't quite fit me in even though she knew my situation. the hair quality is INCREDIBLE but the customer service and professionalism is lacking. the whole "everyone does everyone's hair" is cute until it jus becomes highly inconvenient. i had an appointment where i spent $500 on hair and install, and as soon as i walked in someone started on braiding my hair. before she even finished, she sat me on the couch and starting braiding someone else's hair. another stylist called me in 20/30 minutes later and finished braiding and installed the net. then she picked up the hair, put it back down, and left to go style someone else's hair and they sat me back down on the couch for another half an hour. another stylist called me in her room and i told her how long i'd been here and she was in a rush to get me out bc she knew it shouldn't have taken that long. i was there for two hours and the stylist only actively worked on my hair for 30-45 minutes, the rest of the time i was just sitting and waiting. after all of this, the lace began sliding back after i had my hair in less than a week. they didn't install it properly and it took entirely too long. but the hair that they sell is incredible and worth the price. read more

I was very disappointed with 3 girls. First, let me say ive been there three times and each time has been getting progressively worst. My first sew in was AMAZING. it was styled and layered to perfection. Only two stylists worked on my head and I came in with a photo. The owner was there that day and she was able to advise the stylists on what might make my style better. It was perfect. Second time. Chaos. I came in with a photo. It was like no matter what I asked for everyone still braided and cut my hair the way they wanted. I was passed from chair to chair like I was at the fifty dollar weave shop. I was satisfied with my hair though even though it wasent what I asked for I figured possibly they were having an off day. Third time. Ughhhhh... The service sucked, my hair was totally not even braided right for what I wanted and three weeks later the tracks were falling out. The cut was as if the stylist was afraid she was going to screw up and didn't know what she was doing. Several pointers... for one I can hardly understand what the receptionist is even saying. She speaks low nd fast and its as if she does not even want to be there. A professional decorum goes a long way when its the face of your business. Also, saying hello matters. Even if someone is just braiding my hair down or walking me to the back saying hello is just polite. I had random braiders who just started on my head without so much as a hello or even to ask what style I was getting. Furthermore one of the two girls (yes two) who braided my hair kept checking her phone and even though I kept telling her she was braiding too tight its as if she forgot as soon as she restarted. Instead of having another assembly line weave shop just hire good stylists who are well rounded. I am def never going back. 2 stars for "CORPORATE" and customer service. I purchased processed (colored) hair from this shop. Within 3 days the hair was shedding way more than normal. I called and I was told to come into the shop (I live in Alabama). So I was told to put some oil on my hair because the hair gets dry. I called 1 more time in the 2 weeks I had this hair in and was told to put oil on it AGAIN. Even after I was still emphasizing the fact this hair was STILL shedding and was not normal. I finally made an appointment for my mom. I took the hair in and the lady at the front desk looked at the hair and even brushed it out and the hair shedded when she was brushing it as I said. She said she has to see who I talked to and talk to "corporate". Not one time did she offer to try to fix this problem. No they don't make the hair but when MY customers say they have a problem with their hair I make sure I FIX the problem because my vendors will replace the hair. That's called GREAT customer service. Not to mention that I purchased 3 (THREE) bundles and a closure (yeah freakin expensive hair just to shed) what a WASTE of my money. Not once did "CORPORATE" call to rectify this problem to even say I'm sorry that you had this problem. The final decision was me telling this lady to just throw the hair away. Then I was told that she had some not so nice things to say when we walked out. My mom always tip the braider AND the one sewing it in $40-$70 on top of the cost!! Needless to say me nor my mom will ever be back to support this business and to think we thought that this salon was somewhere that cared about their customers. I do NOT let ANYONE touch my face except Nikki. I've been coming to Nikki for 5 years now, since I moved to Georgia, and I am hooked. She has done my makeup for several events of mine and all of my friends always rave about her work. I don't let any other MUA touch my face. She hits it out of the park every single time...and her customer service and professionalism is A++. I am a wedding planner PT, and without hesitation I would recommend any of my clients to her. Firstly, after weeks of busy signals, long waits, and hang ups, I was finally able to make an appointment. The gentleman that answered asked if I was buying hair at the salon; he actually recommended I get the hair from the salon as guests getting services get discounts on hair. So, I looked online, priced the hair and went to get it done, prepared with pricing. Upon arrival, things seemed great. Tracy, the girl that parted and braided my hair, did a good job, though it was a little rough. We discussed my being able to put my hair up in a ponytail as I frequent the gym. The place brags about the "jennie Mae method," something that, according to the YouTube video posted, looks natural and makes parting easy throughout the head. Something should have triggered concern when Tracy asked where I wore my part, but, silly me, I trusted the professional, thinking it really didn't matter. I digress. Tracy put the hair in, nice and full, and left for Kirsten (i think) to style. Kirsten was awesome! Her recommendations, personality and professionalism are the only thing that made me give this place a star. When I got to the register, I was given a price much higher than expected. I told the girl the prices I saw online were cheaper, to which she answered the website pricing is different. I told her my appointment story and was met with doubt (as though a man didn't even work there). She then told me that it was a coupon from last month, weird seeing as how I made the appointment in March. She didn't seem concerned and gladly took my money, offering no price break. In conclusion, I paid way too much for a mediocre sew-in that I can't pull up in a ponytail or wear in any style but the one I left the salon wearing and bad hair that sheds. I didn't like my sew in nor the cut. It has now been a little over 3 weeks and I am taking it down. My braids were not done tight and I wasn't impressed with the cut at all. I ended up spending an extra $40 getting an ok style cut.. I wish I would have looked around before spending almost $300..I was very disappointed:-( read more

I am a man who does not know much about hair weave or anything of the sort. However, I just sent my lady to the salon and she came back looking like a completely different woman. She is already gorgeous before but WOW. Her hair looks amazing! It looked so good I had to write a review myself!!!! Believe me when I tell you this was worth every one of my hard earned dollars.
