On June 1st 2023 I discussed my needs with Veronica at BL Med Spa in Camarillo, very thoroughly before she had done any work on me. I also told her my new job starts the following Monday and my daughter's birthday was the upcoming Saturday. Normally this would not have been an issue as it would have been all healed up by then. I have been getting fillers and Botox for about 20 years now. I have always gone to Peter Karlsberg, MD in Ventura, but I wanted to stay local in Camarillo and get some fillers. I told the technician who was putting the numbing cream on me that this will only last 10 to 15 minutes on me. Same with Novacaine ect. I asked him to please do not wait too long as the numbing effect will dissipate. I'll make this short despite the fact that it is not. These are the treatments I received from Veronica: 2 syringes of Voluma RHA 2/ RHA 3 It was not as some of these reviews state. Yes they were friendly, as they should be. As well, some post that they are reasonably priced, their products are higher than the average M.D doing fillers in the Ventura County area. I had specifically expressed to Veronica that my 1st priority was my Nasolabial folds (lines between your nose and cheeks) needed filler. Veronica said that it was due to bone loss and she couldn't use filler above the nostril line.... ???? This was 'a first' in 15 plus years. My 2nd priority was my lips, I like them fairly full and puffy/pouty, which we also discussed. By the time we got to the injections the numbing cream had worn off, and it has in the past but they just reapply numbing cream and wait 5 minutes, yet this was not the case in this facility. The injections in my cheek bones were extremely painful as I could feel everything. When Veronica started on my lips I came out of my seat. I told her I could feel that and I am not numb any longer. Veronica's response was that there is lidocaine to help with the numbing, yet that was after it pierced your skin that was not numb. Veronica used 2 syringes of Voluma in my cheek bones, which after the product settles it leaves a dip between your lower eyelid and cheekbone if too much filler is injected. So, that is now what I have. My lips, I will need to go back to my Dr, Dr Peter Karlsberg in Ventura to have my lips redone and fill the pockets under each of my eyes. The total cost of this experience was $2435.00 with $1500.00 paid in cash (no cash discount-very unusual) I have included photos from the day after up to this morning of very visible bruising. I use to be a loyal member up until they changed staff and they screwed up my billing by adding some other clients credit card to my account. The manager called and stated it was fraud and they were reporting it. I was shocked to hear this and reacted to her accusation which only caused them to have their feeling hurt!! Excuse me I am being accused of something I clearly did not do!!! When asked to have owner call it never happen, when I contacted her via social media... no response. I love Lindsey and Felicia they are amazing but I can not say the same over the bedside manners and management offers. I am not thrilled the owner herself Veronica did not reach out after so many years of being a loyal client and referring clients to the business. I will make sure that anyone who is currently a member check their monthly statements as my daughter was getting double billed for months. She notified each month and it only took 7 months for them to actually sit down and figure it out. I would not recommend this place due to billing mistakes they make and than try to blame the customer for. I am so pleased with my experience at the Beauty Lounge Medspa! I found this place on Yelp and picked it from the other medspas listed in this area because of its clean and professional appearance. I have to say right when I walked in (after parking next door easily), I was greeted warmly and offered water/tea while I filled out paperwork. The interior of the Beauty Lounge is mostly white and has various pamphlets and posters of treatments - all of which made me feel like I had come to a legitimate place. I got laser hair removal done - the technician who did it was INCREDIBLE. She made me feel so comfortable and gave me the heavy duty numbing cream that I was able to put on myself. The combination of the cream, with the ice pack she provided, AND their laser which has a built in cooling surface made this laser experience practically painless! I will definitely be coming back here to continue my laser hair treatments! read more

I came to Beauty Lounge because my skin was breaking out. I had cystic acne and a lot of blackheads. My skin was feeling itchy, oily and irritated. I booked a facial session and that's how I met Felicia. After listening and checking the situation of my skin she suggested a couple different treatments and a few amazing products that helped me a lot. After seeing all the fabulous reviews, I was very excited to consult with someone about treatments. Sent inquiry via their website's Contact page, and the response was curt, and less than friendly. In a single line, the response was to call for an appointment to discuss. As someone who works in Marketing & Business Development, I was appalled by the lack of customer service on the 'front line' of communication, and immediately deleted the email. Glad you are known and liked for your results, but customer service seems to be lacking common courtesy. For your advice, I reached out with the exact same inquiry to another unnamed medspa. THIS is the appropriate response I was grateful to receive: "We would love to meet with you to discuss an individualized treatment plan to treat [--------]! I'm always hesitant about trying new medical spas especially with how in the past I have felt that I have been pressured to buy things that I actually didn't need or didn't work. However, my experience with this med spa is totally different! I was able to easily make an appointment that would fit my work schedule. I start work early and don't get off till 5pm, so when I found out that they had 5:30pm appointments I was stoked. My initial reason for the appointment was to talk to Jen about the hyperpigmentation that I had from my acne scars. I figured (as many others have recommended) that Jen would recommend a plethora of products as well as a really expensive laser treatment. However, Jen was so knowledgeable and sincere. Both of which I believe are hard to find in the medical spa environment. She didn't push any product on me but rather urged me to use up the products I already had and then come back to fill in whatever I needed. She advised me to start using the product line they carry to get my hyperpigmentation at bay until she felt I was a better candidate for laser. All in all, I walked away spending $100 in product, which I have noticed a difference as well as many others! I then made a Saturday appointment, again, awesome scheduling availability to talk about fillers. I have been using filler for years now but loved how Jen knew so much about the anatomy of the face that I wanted to get her opinion. Instead of filling me with false hope of the results I wanted she was so honest about what I wanted and that I would need to seek other avenues. I'm so so so happy with the Juvederm fillers I got here last month. I was really anxious about the procedure because 1) I heard it'd be painful and 2) I was worried I'd look overfilled and unnatural.
