Update- went to another nurse and they fixed my problem area no problem. Pros: Quick, efficient, offers specials, and easy parking. I've been coming here on and off for years for Botox and have generally had good experiences. After not visiting for a while, I decided to try Dysport instead. Candy reviewed my chart and used what I believe was the equivalent dose in a different toxin. Unfortunately, after spending about $600, I was left with a prominent horizontal line in the middle of my forehead that hadn't been addressed. I returned for a follow-up, and Candy offered to add more product, but explained there wasn't much she could do because of the proximity to my brow. I understand that treating near the brow requires caution, and I've had that discussion with other providers before. However, this particular line is in a different area and has always been treated successfully by previous injectors. Five weeks later, the line is still very noticeable and is something I see every day. Would I return? Only if they offer a killer deal. The office is convenient, and I've had good experiences in the past. However, I would have a more detailed conversation beforehand about the treatment plan and my expectations to make sure we're on the same page, especially as my face and treatment needs change over time. read more

I wanted to look and feel beautiful for my daughter's wedding, and Dr. Kolder delivered. I had an upper bleph. Dr. Kolder and Lupita took care of me and my emotions very kindly. They explained everything fully and answered my many questions. It was much easier than I anticipated. They used a local anesthesia and I took a Valium sedative. I was awake and didn't feel anything and he talked me through each step. My recovery was exactly as they had predicted. For two weeks, I was noticeably bruised and red (I did have surgery, after all). I took Tylenol for the first two days to prevent pain onset, but I didn't have much (and I'm a baby). Honestly, it looked worse than it felt. I was healed well before my daughter's wedding. I would highly recommend Dr Kolder and his team. read more

I was not expecting my bruise to last as long as it did (11 days and counting) and would not have gone through with it prior to a big event had I known a bruise on my face would be very possible even after two weeks. After talking to Dr Kolder I felt better about his clinic and I believe they will be even more communicative to their clients and not make an assurance that a bruise could or would be gone in a week or so. Personally, I would advise a three week window prior to events for injectables to anyone. I guess you can never tell if you will bruise or not. He asked me to come back in a week for another follow up. Waiting for results still. Not entirely happy after 2 weeks. Maybe it takes more time. But it looks like I'm still the same Update 8/12. The nurse and then Dr. E (I apologize for having her full name but it isn't listed on m no the website.) Both of them were more concerned about my understanding their pricing than addressing my issues even after it had been explained and I repeated it back. The doctor failed to introduce herself and had such a photographic type memory that she sounded like she was reading out of a book. I was informed prescriptions were sent to my pharmacy. I was advised one needed a prior authorization and the other was $500. A week later I was looking for different meds to replace the prescriptions. I waited about a second week and complained to the office manager and she followed up with the nurse who apologized profusely for the delay and lack of return calls, but this was the type of up service I received. I was offered and made an appointment with a different doctor but at this point it was about a month and I was beyond frustrated with their office was that I immediately canceled the appointment I had just made. Personally I didn't like Dr. E nor the office responses to figuring out my meds. I would no t recommend this practice! read more

Always good seeing the very sweet, empathetic ladies from Geena, Jamie, Janey, Brenda, Abby a spectacular intern, and the rest of the ladies. I was in good hands as i had my treatment done by Dr. Kolder. It was really awesome speaking with and having the fractional laser done by the doctor. The local anesthesia hurt but the doctor was fast and made sure to get all my sensitive areas. Treatment was super pleasant, didn't hurt in the least. I am so impressed with Dr. Kolder's surgical skills! Dr. Kolder did a facelift on one of my best friends several weeks ago (November 2022). It is phenomenal. Looks 20 years younger without the extra skin. Added bonus - zero bruising and less than ten weeks after the surgery, cannot see any scars. Can't say enough about how amazing this place is! The girls at the front desk are super friendly and great at answering any questions you have. This review is LONG overdue but the staff did such a great job so I wanted to make sure that they were recognized for how wonderful they are! First, Janee is absolutely amazing! She is super sweet, her customer service skills are incredibly polished (I work in the customer service realm so I feel qualified to make that judgement) and she will work really hard to find you a place on the schedule if you try to book last minute (like I did). Second, the office is very nice and tranquil. There is a ton of parking available and the office is huge. There is plenty of comfortable seating and magazines to browse through, though you won't be waiting long because they are very punctual. Lastly, Wendy, whom I received a half syringe of Juvederm in the lips from, was fabulous! She was very calming, took her time, and was very a tune to symmetry. My lips look wonderful and very natural which is exactly what I wanted. I used to see Dr Li in Beverly Hills but the drive is insane (it's literally like a whole day event to get down there) and you had to pay for parking (they didn't validate). I will absolutely come back to Pacifica Institute and highly recommend them. **update** I still can't stop raving about Wendy and how talented she is. Dr. Improta and Kolder's office really IS as good as it gets in terms of patient treatment, not just physically but also emotionally. The staff is incredibly warm and friendly and seem to treat everyone that comes through the door like they are THE most important patient the office has ever had. I've recently had some light injections and laser resurfacing and I was impressed with the time that the nurses took to understand my situation and goals with regards to my skin. And 4 weeks later my skin looks AMAZING. I can see how you can get addicted to the laser and Photofacials. I know a lot of people (including friends and exes) who have had more significant surgeries with both doctors and agree that they are both gifted surgeons and wonderful men. Here's the thing - there are a lot of awesome surgeons out there - people love to go to Beverly Hills because of reality shows or something, but it usually comes with a crap bedside manner and maybe even a little bit of attitude. I first heard about this office from a close girlfriend of mine who was scheduled to get a breast reduction and lift. Dr Kolder is amazing and his staff is as good as it gets! Professional, welcoming, warm, compassionate and so so much more! Less that 8 days ago I went in for an abdominoplasty. I recently had the pleasure of visiting Candy at Pacifica Med Spa. I'll admit I've had the occasional Botox of my forehead and some lip plumping once before. I was nervous about having fillers to contour my face and lift the areas that, let's say aren't so supple anymore. Candy was very reassuring and explained her technique well. In the end I had Botox to whole forehead area and around my eyes (for crows feet). I also had Voluma filler in the cheek areas which brought a subtle lift to the lower face and filler to my nasal folds. Finally, the lips! A natural plump and look of fullness and hydration. I am beyond satisfied. I feel like it took 8 years off my face. For the record, I am 40 years old. I was shopping with my teenage daughter a few days ago and was asked if I was her sister. I went in April 2017 for a breast lift. Met with the doctor (Kolder) for a consult prior for about 5-7 minutes and he was out. Felt like quantity of patients, not quality of practice. Nevertheless, I made the mistake to continue with the surgery with him. Returned for a pre-op appointment. I felt rushed and that he had no time for me as a patient. As if I wasn't a high paying client, or one of his young ladies. Surgery day, fine - in and out. Recover at home was OK - except they gave me a wired bra to wear which cut, dug and made my fresh stiches break open and bleed. I called and texted several times to the patient coordinator and Dr. Kolder , to no avail. However, the head RN was helpful and realized, I was given the wrong bra. I blew it off until lately. It's been over a year and my scars are terrible. My areola's are stark white (no pigmentation) and I have about 16" total in scars that contain many keloids. I have had surgery in the past and this is not a normal healing process for my skin. My advice: get the time and respect you deserve there. On another note, most of the staff was great! The front desk gals, the head RN, Lindsey, Wendy - very kind, helpful and hopefully they will continue to grow in their careers soon. read more
