WOULD recommend for acrylics NOT gel or regular mani/pedi. Went yesterday afternoon. Got black paint with chrome on top. It's not even been 24 hours and the chrome is already chipped off the tips despite having a top coat put on... you can see the black peeking through. They didn't clean the chrome power off my finger tips. After 12-16 hours it still looks like I dipped my fingers in glitter. I've had chrome nails done before elsewhere and neither of the aforementioned issues happened. Very disappointed. $40 for THIS? Uh uh. Nail tech also told me to come in next time with longer nails.. this is after she filed my nails down significantly. I prefer shorter nails. I am actually rather shocked by the good reviews for this place, the practices here are unsanitary and dangerous. They don't replace the towels between customers, meaning all the nail shavings and sediment from previous customers are strewn beneath where your spa experience is meant to be. They don't sanitize the files, tools or drills between customers! My friend and I both experienced this for manicures seeing the disposable files had clearly been previously used. They use drill bits to clean your cuticle. Dangerous. No softening of the skin. They also file off nail polish instead of using a simple nail polish remover, damaging your natural nail! They don't ask you to wash your hands after filing and before applying gel polish, nor use the customary alcohol to rub down the nail before the primer, so that means they use a used nail file on your nails, then trap all the filing dust on your nail leaving you feeling dirty. What the hell are they thinking?! I couldn't believe what was happening, I've been to many nail salons in Seattle and life in general and this was truly a first. I made the excuse to use the restroom to just wash my damn hands from the dust, I didn't even want to stay at this point I was so uncomfortable. That is when I saw: the soaking bowls. They just toss them on the counter upside down and had the tiniest container for sanitizing products on the counter. It was just gross. They didn't offer me a bowl of water for my nails to soak, but after seeing the lack of care I was glad they didn't. They clearly don't care if their practice is harmful to their clients. My nail tech even had an expired license where the photo was pulled off, it's just clearly a poorly run business. I would never in a million years no matter how desperate you are recommend this place. I was so grossed out and I'm so disappointed that reviews, which I rely on to guide me through new locales, were so lacking in honesty on this place. read more

This was a disappointing visit. The person who did my pedicure spent no time removing any calluses or dead skin other than around my cuticles and my toe nails were cut way too short, though I paid for the most expensive pedicure option. The person next to me got her feet scrubbed and a leg massage. What's worse is I got a cat eye gel mani that I wanted to be a light purple-ish color but it turned out completely black. When I mentioned it to the womxn who did it, she was dismissive in her attitude and told me that the nail polish was old so the color had faded and didn't offer to fix it. It wasn't until a long while later that another manicurist stepped in and said they'd change it. But because I didn't plan for the need to correct the mani, they could only offer another one of the old, mystery cat eye nail polishes. Thought they said it would turn out burgundy, it ended up brown -_- then they had the audacity to say they would give me a $5 discount as if that would make it better. On top of all that, I felt rushed and pressured to make decisions (the womxn that did my pedicure literally rolled her eyes and audibly complained when I didn't have my color picked right away). It wasn't the relaxing experience I was hoping to have. ***UPDATE: The comment from the owner below states that I am under investigation because I posted another review in the same night for another business I went to in the city which I lived previously. Once I'd typed the above review, I went through to also give reviews that Yelp suggested I should because I'd been there before so I went and gave another review (which was a rave review since it was deserved). I cannot believe all the good reviews. I had a gel manicure that immediately chipped after leaving, and within hours the polish on two nails completely fell off. I went with a girlfriend that had a similar experience, her nails were buffed down so thin and her polish looked terrible. We both had to remove our polish. I called to request she reverse the charge and was told all she would do is give me $15 cash or a redo. I did not want to waste another hour of my time on vacation to have a crappy redo. 80$ for a "fill"Normally wouldn't go to a place like this because of sanitary reasons and lack of technique. My normal nail place was full and I was desperate. Would never go back here and honestly hope you don't go either. This place is disgusting. -the lady doing my nails did not clean her work sanction before she rushed me over- all the same tools were re-used. She probably picked up on how grossed out I was because halfway through she did give me to fresh towels one to cover the old towel and one to put on my lap- she did a fill on my nail of her own accord after I requested a dip manicure-"fill faster" - I wanted my nails a little shorter and I was expecting maybe a file or nail clippers to be used but when I reminded her about the length she took a drill to the tip and I quickly changed my mind. I was so dissatisfied with the service I did not leave a tip which is something I've never done. Im a good tipper. So when I saw that she stole an extra 40$; I say stole because I was told and signed for 40$ which in my opinion was already pretty expensive for a dip fill( mind you I didn't even know you could get a fill with dip powder) I submitted my claim today to the bank and will be calling them if not going back there myself in person to make sure they make it right. there were a few other things I saw with other customers that were just gross and I don't know how they're still in business. I had the worst nail salon experience here. I had to remove my existing Gel nail and typically other places would professionally remove it with remover and try not to damage my nail as much as possible during the process. Top nail, however, uses some sander to sand off the Gel and they sanded so much of even my nails that by ththey were as this as paper!! One of my nail, they just ripped off the Gel coat. Wow. I hear that you should NEVER do that as it rips of your own nails. The Shellac nail polish she applied was not put on properly, and I ended up having bunch of bubbles. VERY INEXPERIENCED AND UNPROFESSIONAL. Since my nails were so damaged they started breaking after a week. They are cheap because they have a reason. I will never go there again. I made a visit to Top Nails because my regular go-to salon was not available. They took my last minute appointment with flexibility for a shellac mani and regular pedi. All the ladies there were very friendly and pleasant. They got a pretty large selection of regular and shellac polishes. I've never gotten chrome nails before and I didn't know how it was done - they apply gel base color and then rub on the chrome metallic powder - very cool! Both my mani and pedi were done with a lot of attention to detail and I had a very pleasant experience. Well, I really like my nails, but they're not evenly shap. My cuticles are cut like crazy and one of my nails in insanely crooked. I'm not sure how I feel, because they look better than I've ever had, but the shape is all off! I had asked for a coffin shape, which some are coffin, others are just square. I feel awful because they are really beautifully done, but they could have been better shape-wise. These ladies know what they're doing, so I will go back again because I have faith they'll fix this for me. They fixed a very ugly set of acrylics and didn't have to remove them to make them look this good. Update: I am feeling annoyed with the reply below. I was told that my nails could be shaped to my liking when I went in. In fact, I had asked to have my whole set removed and replaced when I called to set my appointment. Huoang said she can just fix this set and not to bother removing them (pretty sure she was just short on time and even called her next appointment while I sat there to move them to a later slot). Like I said, my nails are fine other than the shape isn't exactly what I wanted, my nail is clearly crooked, and my cuticles are cut. I've been going to Lan for 2+ years since moving to Seattle and have never even thought to change nail techs! Her work is impeccable and she'll go through meticulous lengths to make sure you're happy. I always get almond acrylics with gel polish and they never lift or chip. They'd probably last months if I didn't need to come back in anyways for a growth fill. This place is also a steal compared to so many places I've been where the quality was less for so much more. This has been my 'go to' nail salon since moving to Seattle, and I've tried many. They don't have all the bells and whistles so-to-speak (super deluxe spa pedicure, hot stones, paraffin wax etc.) but they are true to their craft. My polish is always on point! I can come in on a time crunch and they always take great care of me. My regular treatments are a spa pedicure with regular polish (their mango foot scrub is to die for!) and a shellac manicure. I usually park in the Metropolitan grocery store lot which is free, but the maximum time limit is two hours, (and yes they do check).
