I purchased 10 bottles of Clairol hair color on 12+18 -25 and when I got them on12-26-25 I checked the code and it was outdated I called Clairol they said they were outdated.I TRIED TO CONTACT BEAUTY PLUS SALON BY email no answer tried calling by phone couldn't get through wrote them a letter no answer so I contacted NY State consumer protection office and they are going to help me get my refund of $73.43 Clairol said I can order my hair color through their sister co. Over a week later when my order finally arrived, I discovered that they had sent me a Purology volumizing shampoo instead. Here's where the fun begins. Since that time, I have been pursuing a resolution to their error. The list of my communications is as follows: Messages sent via "Contact Us" on website: 4 Follow-up emails to "Contact Us" webform: 3 Days spent attempting to reach someone via phone: 4 Messages sent through social media: 2 Emails sent: 2 They responded to one of the "contact us" webforms asking for photos of the wrong item. I provided photos immediately. That was four days ago, and I have heard nothing further from them since then. Customer service is non-existent. Order placed on line & never received....Left numerous msgs daily after two weeks for status & never received one callback or response to my emails sent...I work at American Express in Litigation & finally got another # than primary on website & supposedly in Corp...I had a death in family so hd to go out of town & requested pkg (over $100) be delivered to local UPS, but never recd there either...delivered to another address that does not exist & finally spk to Fabian in their supposedly Corp office who sd he wd handle with his locate USPS rep as had insurance.. No callback...USPS Corp Resolution opened case as long line of complaints on shipper... I am filing complaint on every website & Better Business Bureau in State of NJ....RUN... Don't walk away from this crooked business.. Worse salon ever !! do not go there. I paid 260+ for my hair to have a Brazilian treatment. After one wash my hair was exactly the same and even more disgusting and dry I call them. Try to talk sens to them. I ask for a refund or to fix my hair and then they told me to come on Friday I came to talk to the manager and then after 5 seconds they ordered the police on me They said I only want my money back and my hair is fine but my hair is so disgusting i'm gonna puke. Well.., did not think a beauty supply store would also hve a great salon. I was so wrong. I moved and was hesitant to try someone new because blonde highlights can go so wrong (i know bc I've been 50 shades of blonde). Insert Jen, who is so nice and knows exactly what she's doing. Doesn't rush and doesn't push you to get a service you don't need. My hair looks phenomenal, and i can't thank her enough. If you need your hair looking fabulous and perfect blonde- GO TO JEN! The only place I found where I am comfortable getting my hair cut! Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable! I always have a hard time describing what I want, but with a few pictures they always seem to get it exactly right! I get so many compliments on both cut and color everytime! First how can a beauty supply store be bad. They have a huge selection of professional products and I'm sure you can find what your looking for. My main reason for coming here though is my go to nail tech Galina. She works here only on Mondays but I have to follow her where ever she goes because I trust no one else with my nails and toes. The salon and nail section is nothing to write home about but as I said I only go for one reason and the rest doesn't matter to me. Booked a March appointment in December for my bridal shower. Specifically asked for someone who was good with braids. First I got a call the day before saying my make-up was cancelled because the artist got an offer to do a wedding for more $. Then I called the manager and they said they would find someone else to do it. I went in the morning of my shower and the stylist DEMOLISHED my hair. It looked like I stuck my hand in an electrical socket. The make up artist never showed. It was a total nightmare! Avoid at all costs. read more

Called Saturday to make an appointment for a Brazilian blowout. Woman said they could probably do it on Monday at 3:30 but she would call me back when she confirmed that the hairdresser could stay. I never received a call back. I called back Monday morning and was told they couldn't make it work. They scheduled me for Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday morning I received a call stating that the hairdresser called out sick and they had to cancel my appointment. They wanted to give me Saturday but I explained that I was going away for the weekend for a college graduation. They put me in for Friday at 4:00 p.m. low and behold I just received a voicemail letting me know that they are canceling yet again. Apparently the hairdresser is still sick. I understand things happen but they probably should have found another hairdresser that could have done my hair before canceling on me twice in the same week. What's funny is the joke is on them because I actually had a feeling this was going to happen due to the lack of professionalism I dealt with the past week. I made an appointment at a different salon for today at 5:00 p.m. My only disappointment was that I didn't get to cancel on them before they canceled on me. read more

I FINALLY found someone who knows how to cut curly hair properly! Linda is spectacular and incredibly nice. I don't think I will trust my hair to anyone again. They are a bit pricy, even for New City, but Linda is worth it. P.S. if you want animal friendly products (meaning, not tested on animals and do not contain animal fats / byproducts) you have to bring your own shampoo and conditioner, as well as styling products. It's my one wish that they used more animal friendly, and environmentally responsible products. But like I said: I just bring my own. read more

Well I came for a color correction and they burned my hair with a shampoo process to "lighten the hair". Additional came out with a color that was not the one I requested. My hair was horribly multicolored! The drying process was painful and uncomfortable! Later, when I washed my hair at home, it lost all the color, which resulted in areas of my hair being darker and others lighter. A whole wait from 1pm to 5:30 pm to leave disappointed, paying too much for bad service. I do not recommend it! read more

I witnessed some customer, an older lady, all in white, attempting to be high class but she looked more like trash. Why you ask? Apparently she had an appointment and arrived early and was told to wait a few minutes. Her. Wait? Never. She insisted someone was in "her seat." Lol. She actually wanted all work to stop on the client in the chair. FOR HER. She proceeded to talk down to Olga to rectify it and I would say Olga handled it professionally and the customer continued to look like a fool. I'm a regular customer there and I used to do my Brazilian treatment and after covid 19 I went and was shocked that they overly increased the cost to $275 and unfortunately the Brazilian doesn't last for 18 days while it should last for at least 2 months with high maintenance. I do take care of my hair and I usually use the Brazilian shampoo and conditioner. When I called the lady who did my hair she pretended that I'm lying and she asked me to send her picture of my shampoo sulphate free $13 vegan she said it is a bad for my hair so I showed her another picture of another original Brazilian shampoo I use recommended by professionals and by herself she said mixing shampoos is the reason and manipulated and pretended that she is away for a week and refused to fix the parts which the Brazilian has vanished from. Although I asked to redo the roots not the whole hair as both the black and colored roots are totally ruined. I don't recommend them again. read more
