Honestly, the first time for myself and my partner for a massage. And it was amazing. We arrived at the building, they have their own suite and it's very secure, entry you need to be authorized to enter, and it's secure inside the building as well with key access to restrooms only (which they give to you when requested). They were very kind and professional, you fill out a form for your general health, security, and so they are aware of what physical area you want to focus on, and they are considerate to any health conditions (physical or mental) that you have as well as medications and diseases. They gave us each a flute of mimosas, and little chocolates. The vibe of the waiting room was quiet, sexy, and a loving ambience. They followed us through the standard procedures, and guided us on what they were going to do before they did it. They had heated tables you laid on, foam cushions, soft sheets, heated stones, and were quick and mindful of keeping the sheets tucked and discrete. read more

This place is definitely surprising - you go from a meh office building to a lovely spa when you walk through the door. I got a pretty good massage. I like that the hot towels were hot, and taken away before they're cold a clammy, and they smelled like clean laundry and not mildew. The hot stones were nice, the facial was great, I don't have too many complaints. Keep in mind they charge 50 dollars to reschedule though. I had actually gotten a groupon for a couples massage, but my boyfriend had a last minute job interview scheduled during it, so my best friend was going to come in his place, but she got a flat tire on the way there and couldn't make it in time. So I showed up by myself, but really didn't want to pay even more for the rescheduling fee and had a solo couples massage :( I get that they have a policy and it's not their fault that I had a series of unfortunate events, but I wish they could have worked with me more because I paid for two massages and got only one. read more

Poor customer service. Stay away if you have nut allergies, studio is completely insensitive to allergy issues. Came here with a Groupon transferred from a friend. We get a sitter, and drive an hour out of our way for a couples massage. We get there and my wife can't get a massage because all they have is almond oil. They give us a certificate to come back within 2 months. We weren't able to make an appointment in that amount of time (you know get a sitter and drive an hour out of our way again during the holiday season) and call them up and they tell us we have to give them an additional $150 if we still want to come in. Terrible business practice. $130 down the drain and no service was provided. Completely unethical. read more

Today I finally was able to get in, my boyfriend couldn't make it so I decided to take my best friend with me and I honestly have to say it turned into the best Sunday ever! First of all, getting there and finding it was a breeze, it is in a building but once you walk in you are literally in the most cute spa I've ever been in. From the moment I met the wonderful staff, I got an incredible vibe and I just knew that it was going to be great and man it was. My fiance and I had the best massage from this studio! I requested a deep tissue massage and "Helga" was recommended to me by Tanya. The best recommendation ever! She really knows how to work out the knots in my back and in my hands. She was able to apply the right amount of pressure needed for me to feel revitalize by the time the massage session was over. According to my fiance, Tanya did a great job making everything comfortable to our liking. He didnt request any special areas of discomfort, but she naturally worked on areas more as she went through the massage. The champage and the chocolate were great! It was such a great experience that I would have booked another for the morning of the wedding, if we had had time. Tanya and Frank were both friendly and responsively talkative, though not overly chatty - they read their clients well and respond accordingly. Ben (my now-husband) had never had a professional massage before, and I have never seen him go so completely limp and quiet. I can't shut that man up, but Frank knows how. The tea room was small, and could probably do with some less-harsh lighting, but the lights were turned off for our champagne and sea-salt chocolates after the massage and facial. We had a very relaxing experience and I would definitely recommend others to do the couple's massage. The massage itself was amazing and the masseuses made sure we were at ease. I had Frank and my husband had Tanya - two of the nicest most down to earth people you will meet and a passion for the work they do! The building does seem a little odd at first for a massage studio but don't be deterred - this place is a hidden gem and we will be back! Went for a couple's body massage. Received this as a gift from a friend, so it was our first time there. It was really great! I'm petite whereas my husband is on the husky side. I bought the Groupon on August 8th and called immediately after to schedule my appointment for the couples massage package hoping I could get something scheduled for September 4th for our anniversary. I called at 3:06pm (during normal business hours) and no answer so I left a voicemail requesting an appointment. I called again on August 10th at 12:41pm (again, during normal business hours) and no answer. They called me back less than an hour later and finally got me on the schedule (but not until October 11th). They informed me that they are pretty booked and couldn't get me in until then and I asked to be put on the wait list just in case. Nothing ever came open (or they just never called). Work schedule changed and I was unable to keep the October 11th appointment so I called them on September 26th hoping I could just get it pushed back a day and again, no answer (and you guessed it, right during normal business hours) but I left a voicemail. I hadn't heard anything by October 5th so I called them again (at 9:18am) to see if I can push the appointment back a day and of course, no answer. They called me back finally on October 6th saying they wouldn't be able to reschedule it until December 17th and so I said let's do that (and stayed on the waiting list just hoping to get in sooner). Excitedly, December 17th was approaching and I wanted to call and confirm we were still good for my appointment. You know how this next part goes, called at 12:30pm and no answer, so a voicemail it is! They called back the same day at 2:48pm and said that they are unable to keep my appointment on the 17th (which was 5 days away) because their therapist was sick. Who plans to be sick for another 5 days??? Seriously. But okay, awesome, so let's reschedule. Initially she said they were booked up until March, but after some stern pushing, she magically got me in for January 7th. Great, I would love to start my new year off with a lovely massage. Well, psych! They texted me on January 1st and informed me that they AGAIN have to cancel my appointment due to "a death in the family." Now, I am not one to be cynical, but these people are seriously running out of excuses. So, to end this review, I contacted Groupon, heckled them for a full refund back to my card (not in Groupon bucks) and I have given up on our anniversary present of a couples massage and will not be referring Beauty Retreat to anyone! read more
