Almost don't want to write this review because I don't want them getting booked up :) The prices are so reasonable - $50 for long haircut and wash, $15 for eyebrow and lip threading. I have never gotten my face threaded before - I love it, I think it's cleaner than waxing. Plus, they will wax and pluck to make sure everything looks neat. So many services as well - they also have pedicures, manicures, and permanent makeup, so you really can go here for everything. Definitely leave a big tip! I love love love coming here! Laila is the hairstylist galore and Zaida is the Queen of mani and pedi. They take their time to make you feel welcomed and treat you with great attention. If you want to pamper yourself stop by and make appointment in advance. They are following all COVID rules and regulations and provide option to seat in front of the store if you need to wait. The people who work here are REALLY friendly and awesome. I got a mani-pedi ($25) and one woman did my mani while the other did my pedi, to make it go faster. They both did a good job overall. They were both really nice and did not rush. My only complaints: I had at least 3 cuticles bleeding on my toes...which stung, a lot. My nail polish chipped the next day - this could be a quality factor or it could be normal wear & tear, not sure. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place. I plan on coming back. read more

I moved to the neighborhood a few months ago from Brooklyn, and was bummed to leave my old salon. Thankfully, I found Beauty Town and Sudha! She does an amazing job waxing, takes her time and puts you at ease the entire time. I hesitate to write this because she already had a line of ladies waiting for a wax, and I know as more people hear about how great she is, it will be tough to snag an appointment. I look forward to using them for their other services. Fair prices, friendly staff, clean establishment, great experience all around. UPDATE: this is now my go to spot. If you are looking for eyelash extension Sudha is AMAZING and super affordable. She charges between $20-40 for a set depending on which you choose and they last up to two weeks (see my before and after pics). Also, my mother is a hairstylist and I'm really resistant to going to anyone else for haircuts, but Layla is fabulous, fast, and very very reasonably priced. This place is amazing! I love the girls they always take very good care of me. All of them are very professional, hands on and easy going! Leila does my hair she has amazing hands, hair grows so fast and the extensions she put last time are perfect! Zuda does my eyelashes, wax and threading amazingly! My review is solely on eyebrow threading. I was really excited that there was a salon so close to my apartment - but was disappointed soon enough. I thought the first time was a fluke so I went back a second time, but it was the same deal. It's not bad per se, but my eyebrows have no arch and look very boxy. I've been to other places (Ladylike Spa, Elastic Wax Center in Astoria) where they clearly define your arch and take the time to tweeze and cut stray hairs. At Beauty Town, there's no attention to detail so don't expect amazing results. All in all, it's not a bad job per se, but I can't even tell I had my eyebrows done. After two botched attempts, I won't be returning and patronizing this business. read more

You don't have to worry about picking up a hideous disease like you do at other establishments on Skillman that don't follow proper sanitation protocols. Best place in Sunnyside for nails! This is my go-to spot for mani/pedi. Zaida does a great job with gel, and my nails didn't lift/chip for 3 weeks after I went last time. More affordable and better quality than any other salon I've been to in the area, including the many on Queens Blvd. I recommend making a reservation for nails, because they do get busy. read more

I walked in here on a whim, needing my eyebrows threaded and not having time to go to my usual place in the city near work. Sudha is amazing and could see the spots I was trying to let grow back in. She showed me exactly where she left a line of hair so that we could grow my brows in to the desired thickness. She is precise, quick, and incredibly kind. She's even accommodated me when I was running late from work and wasn't going to make it to the salon until right around closing time.
