Her intuition for what you're looking for is spot on, and she knows how to kindly suggest what will and won't work best. She was the only person who actually listened to me, and the only person who seemed to understand that you can't do a lot of layering with very thin hair. After she cut my hair and blew it dry, she asked me to take a look, and then offered to take a little more off the back. I could see that her next client had arrived, but she took an extra few minutes on me to make the cut perfect. I really appreciate her attention to detail. And I could see that the next client didn't mind waiting 5 minutes: probably because she knew that Kelly was going to make her hair look perfect too. The cut was $45, which I think is quite reasonable. For me, the true test of any haircut is how it looks after a shower, when I've had the chance to style it myself. Keema affirmed she understood what I wanted and told me I wanted lived in color. I definitely appreciated her for listening! After 4.5 hours in the chair, she miraculously transformed my hair. I also have to give her so much props for accommodating me while I was 33 weeks pregnant so she made sure I was hydrated and comfortable in the chair and at the wash station. She tightly curled my hair so that the next day, I would have loose curls for my baby shower event and one less thing to do. During my mid-length haircut, I showed her my inspo pic which had lots of layering and she then proceeded to tell me that my hair was not suited for layers which was my main intention for my haircut. I also have moderately wavy hair so layers would work for me. The haircut I received was long layers with a short trim which is not what I asked for. I will be coming back. During my second visit with another hairstylist, I asked for full length bangs and I instead got side bangs or curtain bangs.
