I booked an appt with Keema the day before my baby shower because I was in a desperate need of some self care and refreshed highlights! She and I were so in sync right from the get-go. We had the initial consultation and I felt like she really listened. I wanted more blended cool tones and what I called "ponylights". Keema affirmed she understood what I wanted and told me I wanted lived in color. I definitely appreciated her for listening! After 4.5 hours in the chair, she miraculously transformed my hair. I also have to give her so much props for accommodating me while I was 33 weeks pregnant so she made sure I was hydrated and comfortable in the chair and at the wash station. Tera is the absolute best hair stylist. I'm always obsessed with my hair, after she works her magic. She has taken my dark brown, Asian hair and delivered perfection for every color I have ever asked for. I wanted to try a new place and get a fresh look so I was really excited for my appt with one of the stylists at Maven. She seemed friendly and sounded like she was experience. I gave her a brief description of what I was looking for via phone and we followed up with an appt. I have brown hair with highlights and wanted to touch up my grays and roots. I'm not sure what the stylist did but she colored my hair once, said it looks pretty good after the wash. She then blew dry my hair and it looked much darker than my current color and it didn't blend in well at all. No highlights done, didn't touch up my hair to blend with current color, and basically never followed through with what I requested. There was no plan to fix it so she basically told me to let it settle and grow out then come back to redo. At that moment I didn't care to say anything or stay any longer. A few weeks later my grays started to show and I pretty much had to get it done again at another salon. I was very disappointed and not happy with the results at all. I would name her but she's most likely fairly new. However the owner should advise newbies and provide better training on how to properly handle new customers cuz you just lost one. First time here and paid a good amount for a service that was not done right. read more

I booked with Lillyanna and she did a perfect job understanding what I wanted when I couldn't find great inspo pictures. We talked about what works for my lifestyle but can also be styled nicely for non-work days. I'm so excited to write this review for Katelyn! First off her personality is so kind, caring and easy going. She's easy to get ahold of and is always on time. She looks put together and is her style is just a vibe! She's super accommodating and stays current on education. So if your lost and don't know what to do just ask and she will point you in the right direction. Katelyn installs one row of extensions in my hair. I rock 4- 24" handtied wefts on one row and it feels seamless. Seriously a dream! She always curls my hair and I leave feeling like a model. I'll link some pics of my hair when she curls my hair. Another bonus , she is efficient with her timing and will never make you feel rushed. I am also a hairstylist (I don't work here) and to be treated like a valued guest is such a treat. Disappointed to say the least. I had an appointment with Marisa. Prior to the appointment, I reached out to Marisa, shared my inspo pictures, and clarified what I was looking for. First, when I showed up my appointment started 30 minutes late and there was no acknowledgment. I understand that stylists might be running late but acknowledge the fact that your client's time is valuable as well. Without too much rambling I will let the pictures speak for themselves. What I requested does not even remotely look anything like the pictures- the color is completely different, and the placement of the color is all over my hair instead highlights/balayage. When I was still at the salon I saw the brassy/reddish tone and informed her. She tried to correct it with another round of toner and told me that eventually it will fade and lift to the color I am looking for. I was skeptical since my hair was very dark almost black after the appointment. A week later, I reached out to Marisa and sent her pictures. Her communication has been poor at best, leaving me days without a response. Informing me that she can offer me a "complimentary toner". I informed her that this will temporarily remove the redness but it will not give me the look of ashy highlights I had requested. I have asked her to reach out via phone to come up with a solution as I did not receive the service I paid for. I have been patient but poor customer service and lack of communication has just been the tipping point for me. read more

I had an appointment in the morning and I let my stylist know that I took time off work to get my hair done. Had my appointment with Cheriece Harris. Like everyone I showed her a picture of the highlights I wanted and she explained that she can make it look close to the picture. She demanded that I have to promise that I will like the final results or she won't do my hair. When I felt overwhelmed she opened the door and asked me to leave. Maven and Co is such a vibe! I reconnected with stylist Emily on Instagram after meeting her a few years prior and asked if she could help with my hair. I've always done my own coloring and root touch ups but I was finally at a point in my adult life where I could afford to get it done professionally. On my first visit Emily gave me a whole new tone of blonde that I had always been trying to get but could never achieve on my own. She did a full head of highlights and lowlights and a deep conditioning, which it badly needed, and blow dried and curled it for me. My hair looked GORGEOUS (not to sound too full of myself)!! From then on I knew I could never do my own root touch ups myself. Having my hair done by Emily gave me a confidence I hadn't had in myself for a long time. I go back and see her every 4-5 months and every time the color comes out better and better. She blended it perfectly so when my darker roots do grow in it matches my new shade perfectly and it doesn't look obvious I dye my hair blonde. Besides the perfect hairstyle I get each time, the salon itself is decorated with beautiful decorations and chic vibes and makes me feel way more hip than I actually am. All the girls are so kind.
