Moved back to the Bay Area recently and was looking for a new hair salon. I booked a haircut appointment with Liza through their website. Process was super easy and quick! Location -- Plenty of parking in the plaza. It was little confusing where the front is but if you walk down the street, you'll see the sign up the flight of the stairs. Salon interior is super cute and modern. Cut -- I got a simple bob and Liza did a great job. Conversation flowed nicely and didn't feel forced. She was really sweet and listened to everything that I wanted and asked questions along the way to make sure I felt comfortable. When styling, she took her time to make sure it looked perfect. I booked online for an appt for partial highlights and cut . The price listed was $285 . When it was all done I was charged $408 + the tip I left . Obviously I asked why . The reason I was given was because she did a whole balayage (which wasn't communicated to me) . And the website wasn't fully done yet with the whole head option (I would not have picked that option anyways). I didn't feel like arguing because I was there for hours and I just wanted to go home . I contemplated for days if I should write this review and decided that I should so no one else would get bamboozled paying almost double at the end of their appointment. I have been going to see Daniela since before she started working at Liza K salon. I have now moved over an hour away and still continue to make the drive just to see her. She is nice, friendly, professional, has a beautiful personality and her work is amazing. From when you walk in the door the place is inviting and she makes sure I'm always comfortable. It is hard to find a hairstylist that you can trust with your hair but Daniela never fails me. We have done various colors (from cool toned silver to my dark mommy era brown) and she always makes sure my hair stays healthy and strong through the whole process.
