My biggest fear of moving was that I wasn't going to be able to find anyone comparable. I tried one shop that stated they were the best and had amazing reviews, but not even a week of having lashes from them at least 25% had fallen out!! We don't even want to get into what they looked like the second week :( So I almost admitted defeat, and at least I'd get to enjoy being able to rub my eyes without extensions, right? But I figured I'd give one more place a shot, and I couldn't be more happy that I did! Even though I had a request that pretty much made zero sense the way I described it, Holly still made it work. My lashes are full of volume, but not over exaggerated and looking like miss piggy lashes, but still on the natural side for not so much falseness. (Confusing, I know). The advantage also being that it doubles as eye moisturizer as well. (Serious advantage in that even given the fact I should have some sort of beauty routine I still use soap and water on my face. But I digress...) Re: NATURAL BLONDES: Mary ALSO is the the ONLY person I know who can match eyebrows to my naturally light blond hair. Which, given their super light /nonexistent natural state is pretty impressive. She is part aesthetician and part artist. Re: DRIVING UP NORTH Yes, she's worth it. I live right downtown, and it's a 15 minute drive straight up 1-35 if there isn't any traffic. I can spend that much time getting across downtown sometimes.

She has cut and dyed my hair 3 times. Each time she gave me a fun new style and dye. I love my hair every time she has cut it. It is not so outlandish that I stick out, and I no longer look like a hippie straight out of the 60's. All 3 dye jobs used 2 tones of color that was mixed well and complimented my skin tone and style. The cuts she chose do not require much from me each day, which again is always a requirement when cutting my hair. She has also cut my son and daughter's hair and they look great as well. She is a great communicator, and listens to you and explains the process very well. She was professional and timely, and everyone's hair and makeup lasted the entire evening flawlessly. I had never had my hair or makeup done professionally, but she quickly put me at ease during our trial. I let my bridesmaids do whatever they wanted with their hair/makeup, and all of them were so happy with the results and got just what they wanted even without trials. I booked a classic lash appointment for my sister at this studio, and the experience was incredibly…read moredisappointing. Their website advertises $99 for new clients, but that's not what happened. When my sister arrived, the tech asked what lash type she wanted without explaining that a "classic" was the $99 special my sister is young and didn't know to specifically ask for it, so she showed a picture and was steered into a volume set instead, even though we clearly booked for the special online. I had personally called and told staff we booked a classic (the special) lash set, and asked them to confirm that with the tech before starting. Despite this, when I called during the appointment to make sure they were doing a classic set as booked, I asked to have my sister told that the classic was $99 compared to the volume set. My sister later told me they never relayed that to her, just saying she mentioned the price and said that the manager said the tech had "already started" even though the appointment was at 3:00 and I called at 3:03. Even accounting for a few minutes to get her settled in the chair, there is no realistic way an entire lash set was started in that window just setting up alone takes longer than that. They also ignored my request to tell her the classic was what we booked. My sister was charged for the volume set regardless. This is unacceptable. I gave clear instructions, and the studio still upsold my sister into a more expensive service and a membership she didn't ask for. She did not tip and was met with a passive-aggressive "mmmmm" in response. Horrible business. On top of this they told her she had to pay an extra $20 for booking a "MASTER" keep in mind i had the same appointment on July 1st and i did not have the same experience because i am pretty sure i didn't look like they could play with me. I had given this studio my sister's and some friends business and had a fill appointment booked for tomorrow, but I cancelled it and told all my friends to never go here. I don't want anything to do with a business that operates this way. I will not be removing this review until my sister is refunded the extra $60 she was overcharged. Advertising one price and then pressuring clients especially young, first-time clients into paying more without clearly stating that the special applies "if you mention it" is deceptive. I have documentation of everything the booking, the calls, and the timeline and I will be taking this to the Better Business Bureau and pursuing it in civil court if necessary until her money is refunded.
