One of my friends told me a while back that she tried to schedule an appt with a "Jenny something" in RR, but couldn't because Jenny was booked 3 months out. In my skeptical mind, I was like she can't be that good only because I don't put that much effort into my hair and was never going to wait 3 months for an appt. Well, recently I was contacted by a Jenny T for a macaron order via IG. When I was reading the message from Jenny requesting the order, I happened to be over at that friend's house for dinner, and honestly, blurted out "does anyone know a Jenny T?" My friend immediately said, that's who I tried to make an appt with!! And guess what, I was in desparate need of a redo of my hair color. I colored my hair for the first time ever a few months ago, and it did not go well, I was disappointed and stuck with a color I never wanted! I've been procastinating the redo because I didn't have faith in anyone getting the color I wanted originally. I took a leap of faith and asked Jenny whether she can fix my hair and if by any chance, she is availabe before my wedding date in May. She scheduled me in 3 weeks later after I asked. She took care of my hair for 3.5 hrs, cleaned up the mess (I should say blended it in), got really close to what I wanted with a foilyage. Note that what I wanted couldn't be achieved on the first or second try because my hair is really dark to begin with. I wanted to go really light ashy gray. But I do love the color she did for my hair, my hair now has personality. My friends loved it when I sent them the photos. They have been asking me when I was going to redo the previous disaster. If you are going to drop this much money on your hair, do it with someone talented who cares about the quality of her/his work.

I have been searching for a new salon to get my haircut since moving here and found this place via Yelp with decent reviews. I went to Fantastic Cuts today and received a haircut by presumably the owner since she was the only person at the shop. The haircut was okay, I don't nitpick, which is the reason why I am giving it another star. The thing that boggles my mind is that I was charged an extra $5 for a "complicated haircut" - what?! I have a mohawk and requested to clean it up, I don't understand how that would be defined as complicated. In addition, she knew it was my first time and charged me without explanation until I asked. This penny-pinching tactic have lost a potential regular customer. I don't think a 10 minute haircut should constitute an additional fee - I won't be coming back.

She is a very compassionate and caring person and has helped me through all my hair phases to make me feel beautiful. When I first started seeing Michelle I had long, thick layered hair. I always left feeling fabulous with my cut and color! She later gave me a sassy short cut when we knew it was going to fall out- loved it! While temporarily bald she gave me tips on how to take care of my scalp and even gave me extended scalp massages when I would stop in from time to time. Once it started growing back the fun began again! Sassy short pixie styles that looked great while letting it grow out. So many compliments from people I almost considered staying short. I asked for a phone call not communication over text and my request was simply ignored. For these two reasons customer service is important for me when I spend close to $400.00 every visit. Not ony did Zenia welcome me warmly, and patiently listen to my rambling about the cut, she validated my upset and walked me through the issues and how she was going to fix it. Her confidence made me immediately feel at ease! Zenia was honest in how much she could fix the first visit and we came up with a game plan to correct some areas over the next few visits once my hair grew out a bit more. After the first visit, I was sold. Zenia even taught me how to style my bangs at home! I received so many compliments on my haircut.
