First thing we noticed is that it is NOT handicapped accessible. So my young son who loves coffee couldn't come inside. The two sets of stairs were steep even for us carrying the drinks back to the car. Cute house and well decorated. The coffee names have no description underneath so I had to spend lots of time for the cashier to describe them all. Not good for the people waiting behind us. Sorry. Nice ladies behind the counter. No toaster to warm the croissants, just a microwave which makes croissants limp and soggy. I have to say the scones were some of the best I've had. Mine just had chocolate chip overload. Lastly, my coffee literally came to me luke warm! We asked for each to be "hot, hot". Instead of having her remake it I just opted for the quick zapping in the microwave. The espresso is very weak. I feel like I'm drinking kid coffee. I'm sitting here with my cold coffee 5 minutes later trying to find another coffee shop to get a coffee done right for the 5 hour trip back home. Btw, I support small town coffee shops only. I want them all to succeed so this review is purely for advice. Do support them. read more

Delicious! Ordered delivery from here for my daughter, myself, my brother and his girlfriend. I ordered a caramel latte with whole milk for them, a bruntons hot chocolate, a muffin, and a scone for my daughter, and an almond milk stevia vanilla latte for me. Everything was delicious!! The blueberry? muffin was fresh and soft. Lots of berries. The scone was also soft and fresh with cranberries and white chocolate chips. So good! My brother and his girlfriend loved their caramel lattes. I liked my latte as well. Great flavor and great quality. Haven't been there in a few years but remember it being great but today it was a rip off and terrible drink. When I'm back in Beaver County visiting my parents I usually go to Kolache as it's closer to my parents, the staff is so unbelievably friendly, and they remember my order even though I only come home every 3-4 months. Plus I get added shots to my espresso and they don't charge an arm and a leg. 6 shots of espresso plus dry foam half and half /breve/ dry cappuccino like request and cinnamon powder and honey on top of foam is only $6 at Kolache. Same drink at Beaver Falls Coffee and Tea cost $17!! Only reason I went to beaver falls was kolache espresso machine was down and they were kind enough to suggest I go to beaver falls coffee and tea as it's a good place in their opinion. Also barista didn't do dry foam as repeatedly requested - was a lot of steamed hot milk essentially which kills the taste of the espresso. I don't want a milkshake or Starbucks like drink which is why I go to and prefer mom and pop real espresso shops. And when I asked for cinnamon powder and honey - I clarified I don't want anything that's syrup or has sugar. But didn't realize until I got home the email with the bill states it is honey "syrup" flavoring and that costs an additional $1.60. What a total rip off. And if you're gonna charge for a tiny bit of honey - you should tell the customer that's extra and how much. Prices are outrageous for extra shots and the "organic" honey "syrup" - just use real honey. Drink was ungodly gross and the temperature wasn't even that hot either. If your in beaver county and like real espresso, Kolache is 100% the place to go or if they're closed go to Merchants in Ambridge. read more

A lovely coffee shop across the street from the Geneva College campus, Beaver Falls Coffee and Tea Co. provided us with a nice selection of custom roasted coffees and herbal teas. I ordered my usual latte and my wife, an herbal tea. The barista allowed the tea to steep a bit longer as one would do with herbal infused drinks. We enjoyed efficient, friendly service and only learned later that the business was established by a Geneva College graduate. The cafe's location on an old home made for a cozy and friendly atmosphere enhanced by the old college yearbooks on a shelf. This place is precisely what every college town needs where both the general public and the college community--"town and gown"--can meet over a good cup of coffee or tea! read more

So my fiancée and I have gotten take out here a few times, and the food has been okay, but there is almost no consistency with the food quality. The first time we got there, the food was all really well cooked and tasted great, while the next time, half of our food was burnt or dry. The next time we got food, it came with sauces on the side, and the next the sauces were on it. With the lack of consistency, it's a wonder why they only do breakfast one day a week. I want to love this place, I truly do, and I've given it quite a few tries but it really is so hit and miss with the quality. There have been a few times that my drinks were great, no problems at all, but the last time I ordered with DoorDash my frozen coffee was only half full, I can understand if it melted slightly on the ride down the hill (I only live about 5 minutes away) but there was seriously nothing there and you could clearly tell that someone did not care at all when they made that drink. The already small cup was maybe half way filled with coffee and to compensate they dumped about half a can of whipped cream on top. The time before that it tasted like straight milk, no hint of coffee at all. I'm sure I'll end up giving it another try eventually but it definitely is not my first choice. read more

Barista was wonderful! Helped us choose our drinks because we weren't quite sure what some of the menu items were. The place is sweet, quaint. My mom and I sat outside and enjoyed watching the traffic while we sipped our drinks. I really enjoy this place. I have business meetings here when needed or just stop by when driving down the turnpike. The baristas are very friendly and educated. They compete in barista competitions and are constantly perfecting their craft through latte art and the like. I have never had a bad drink. They roast their own beans and I have bought green from here to take home and roast. There is limited seating but it's worth the hassle. They have good food as well. Highly Recommended read more

I have driven by this coffee shop a multitude of times over the past year or so, always saying I should stop. Well today I did, and I couldn't have been happier. First I was greeted by a magnificent barista who took the time to explain a little bit about the place as well as the special coffees that they have with a smile and excitement you would like to see from someone waiting on you. I tried the seasonal gingerbread latte and the homemade cranberry chocolate cookie that was fantastic. I will definitely make this a regular stop as I travel through Beaver Falls. read more

Came to Beaver Falls for a wedding and could not find decent coffee/espresso drinks anywhere. Saw this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. The cafe is in a house, so I wasn't sure that we were at the right place. Walked in and the place looked like a trendy coffee shop. It's charming and feels very comfortable. The barista was very nice. I ordered a small cappuccino with an extra shot of espresso, which was very good. My husband ordered a coffee, which he did not like. He commented that the coffee tasted like water and didn't have much flavor. Therefore, although I loved my cappuccino, my husband hated his coffee, and I have to give this place 4 stars. read more

Full disclosure: I used to work at BFC&T ("biff-cat") and am good friends with the owners, Russ and Bethany. BFC&T is best specialty coffee store in Beaver County. They roast their own beans and offer single origin espresso and brewed coffee. They take the craft of their beverages very seriously; they've researched and experimented with different grinds, roasts, shot times, milk foaming, and tea brewing to be able to create the best drinks possible. This isn't a mall coffee shop where the entire process is a push-button affair for a barista who may or may not understand the workings of the espresso machine. All of their roasts are in the light-to-medium dark range. You won't find any so-called "french" roasts here. The coffee is sweet and the regional characteristics are distinguishable. Russ and Bethany are foodies in the best sense of the word. They find or create interesting sandwiches and soups all the time. They only make 15-20 sandwiches per day (M-F) so you have to get there before 1 or risk not getting lunch. On Saturday mornings, the BFC&T serves fresh, made-to-order waffles as part of a partnership with New Brighton's Waffles, Inc. These are sourdough waffles with sweet or savory mix-ins and toppings. My favorite is the Breakfast Magic: a waffle with bacon and green onions mixed in, topped with a fried egg and some cheddar cheese, and with an amazing spicy mayo (the recipe is a closely guarded secret of Waffles, Inc. owner Taj). They usually stop serving waffles around 1 p.m. on Saturday. During the school year, it's tough to find a seat on Saturday morning. The best advice I have is to come when they open (8 a.m. on Saturday) and get a seat before the students across the street wake up. BFC&T also caters, from a small business lunch to a 150-person wedding. They also have a portable espresso machine and will set up a coffee bar at weddings and events. read more

The folks at Beaver Falls Coffee & Tea Co. are quite intentional about how they approach the coffee business, and I think it shows. Their coffee -- roasted on site -- is quite good. The items on the ever-changing food menu made from scratch, and made with a lot of ingredients from local farms. The staff goes out of their way to listen, to be friendly to folks in the shop, and to educate about coffee as they can. It's a really good experience, and it doesn't hurt that the shop (inside of a beautiful old house) is so cozy. BFC&T has a good selection of latte-based drinks and non-coffee beverages, cold and hot. They have a nice catering business as well, and if you ever get a chance to sample some of the bread made on-site...do it. The is really good. A few things worth noting -- they usually only have a few kinds of beans roasted at any given time (and usually only one brewed in the airpot). Seating is also limited, especially during the school year (there's a college right across the street), and there's always the chance that you'll have to wait a bit to get your drink. Finally, their hours fluctuate depending on the season, so it might be worth checking their Facebook feed to see if the shop is open before planning a trip. read more

I go here about three times a week. They roast their own coffee and the results are fantastic. This is definitely a place for the coffee drinker with a purist mentality, although they also offer some really nice mainstream drinks as well. Atmosphere is very cool here.
