Today my stylist was _______________ (I need to call back to get her name, sorry) and she was incredibly nice and did a great job, and gave a bangin scalp massage. I didn't write a review at my last visit in 2018 (sorry) but if you look at my previous yelp review from 2016, my opinion hasn't changed. They were thankfully very diligent with their covid procedures. Everyone wore a mask properly at all times, there was hand sanitizer available, signs asking customers not to touch the products, and the door was kept closed to keep people from wandering in and out of the store. I called at 11am to make a 1pm appointment and Becky was friendly and accommodating on the phone. Thank you to the Supercuts staff for being consistently lovely, and I look forward to seeing you again in another 2 years.

But when I came back to go a bit lighter and have my root touched up. I originally only had Lara doing my hair but then another stylist named Devon came to help her with it. I explained what I wanted again and they started my hair. they foiled my entire head which was already alarming since I had only asked to brighten it up a bit and touch up my root. But instead of lightening up she made me brown with blonde highlights and a money piece. I was already blonde and I did not ask for brown, I am distraught and it has ruined the way i view hair salons. I also asked for a small trim, Devon took 3 inches off my hair including layers I did not ask for. We paid $400 for this service just for It to turn out being the exact opposite of what I asked for. If you value being heard and listened to when it comes to what is going on when it comes to your hair, I would not go here, or at least let Devon and Lara touch your hair.

I have to say that this is the best iteration of her spaces so far. It is a well oiled machine. Marina is an exceptional talent and she is passing on her skills and knowledge to her crew. Everyone is so friendly and professional. Staff calling you by name throughout the visit although you've just met (I see you Ari), and offering tea or coffee while you wait for your color to process makes you feel so at home. And the end result is always amazing. For me the goal is to cover grays and get a breezy mid length layered cut...and Marina hits it out of the park every single visit.

The receptionist said she would ask the owner, Marina, if an exception could be made, and she refused, so I chose not to book. After being a loyal client for so many years, the lack of flexibility and customer service was really disappointing. A few days later, I received an email that the appointment had been cancelled by the salon. On June 13, I received a text asking me to confirm. Confused, I called reception. I was told that the machine accidentally made an appointment for me on June 6, and that the staff had cancelled that one (because it was an error), and that's why I got a cancellation email. She said the machine makes mistakes often, and that I definitely wouldn't be charged for an appointment I was told was cancelled. An hour later, I received an angry voicemail from the manager, Sharon, saying that even though they had "accidentally made an appointment for me on June 6th" (her words verbatim) and then cancelled it, sending me with a cancellation email, I would be charged due to their cancellation policy. I called back and explained the situation to the receptionist, who agreed that it was ridiculous to charge me for a machine mistake. Of course I was aware of the cancellation policy, being a loyal customer. She said Sharon would call me back. She did not. I have disputed the charge. Petty and disappointing. Will definitely not be returning or recommending to others.
