Ordered the breakfast sandwich as usual and was given 1/4 of a slice of bacon. Showed it to the hostess and asked if I could please have some more bacon as it usually comes. She went to her manager and her response was "it only comes with one slice of bacon" and I would have to pay for more. I hadn't been here in a while, but I think the Popeye drink has a different recipe. It used to be my favorite and my go-to choice, but I don't think i'll be ordering this again. It used to be creamy and had a slightly nutty flavor. I know I am not confusing this drink for another drink as the Popeye is the only smoothie i've ever tried at Bebidas. Today my smoothie was too thin and overly citrusy flavored. The flavor was completely different. I am not sure when this change happened, but i'm disappointed they kept the same name for what feels like a completely different drink. I paid almost $11 for this smoothie and it was not what I was expecting. update: found current recipe for Popeye on Bebidas website listed as: spinach. mango. pineapple. greek yogurt. spirulina. orange juice. previous recipe (as seen on yelp pictures provided by Yelp community): spinach, mango. strawberry. whey protein. spirulina. almond milk. lime. which shows that the recipe was changed. For starters, I use to come here all the time, everything was good, but nothing is good anymore. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich and they were out of the pretzel bun it's supposed to come with and then they up charged me for choosing a different bread to put on it even though they didn't have the one it's supposed to come on. My friend ordered a salad they were missing half the ingredients that's supposed to come on it. Then I went there last week with another friend and it took 25 mins for one breakfast taco to come out and it wasn't even that good. Really loved my first Bebidas visit! The ambiance and decorations are so nice, and there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating to choose from. It has an outdoor space with tables and chairs scattered across the grassy grounds. A great place to catch up with friends, go on a date, read, or get some work done. The staff is also quick and friendly. I ordered the Chicken Taco and was pleasantly surprised at the portion size. The whole thing was $6, and it included the taco and a good amount of tortilla chips. The taco was pretty good, and I especially enjoyed the blue corn tortilla--it was not fully hard, but not a soft tortilla either. I also ordered The Dude smoothie. I had originally intended to get coffee, but when I saw that this smoothie had cold brew in it, I was all in. It was super yummy; it tasted strongly of bananas and chocolate. I drive by Bebidas all the time but never stopped in until my friend suggested we go after a run at Memorial. We stopped in on a Wed morning around 7:40am and there was parking out front and some in the back as well. It's centrally located so it's not hard to miss when driving by. There was one other patron there so there wasn't a long wait. Looking at the menu, I did think it was expensive but everything today is. I got a juice ($10) and avocado toast ($8) on gluten free bread. My order was ready and when I saw the avocado toast, I was FLOORED. A piece of bread, with 7 slices of avocado for $8 is bananas!!!!!! As someone who lives in the river oaks area I drive by bebidas all the time and I always think I should go in. Me and my friend on a Saturday around 11-12 decided to go to bebidas. First thing to note the parking lot is very small so if you come probably during the weekends be careful about where you park. I parked near the business buildings but seemed like they wouldn't tow us on the weekends. We went in and I decided to get avacado toast. We sat outside, this place has a bunch of outdoor seating and some indoor seating too. I was surprised what I paid for was one toast with maybe two toppings. It was hoping for more food than that but it was decent. Wish it was flavored more and it was larger in size. I do wanna go back and try their drinks. read more

Perfect little spot under the tree with a bountiful patio for outdoor seating if you're so inclined. Busy on a Saturday morning. Staff was pleasant. Free refills on the self serve house coffee. They have an all-day menu if you're ready to start lunch earlier like us. We had the chicken sandwich and I really liked the pretzel bread on it. Chips with quac were crispy and the breakfast taco affordably priced at $3.50. It wasn't too big or small and comes with a side of salsa. I think they fried the shell like jack in the box does. In yet another installment of my incredibly bias opinion- I'm not sure if anyone else has this problem, but I have the WORST luck sourcing quaint coffee spots with healthy snacks AND study/work space without the distraction of a million pastries. I can name only a handful, but Bebidas wins my vote in River Oaks hands down. While the parking & interior are intimate, the outdoor seating is where it's at. While there aren't a ton of outlets for electronic charging, the floor to ceiling windows and relatively quiet company will encourage you to stay awhile. They offer a solid menu of small bites, breakfast, & lunch items,and , the roasted corn and avo salad is pretty dang good (and deceptive huge). Plus, if you're easily distracted by sweets (ie moi), they only have a handful, you'll only need to avoid one small display case. Anyways, the vibes are friendly and light. The restrooms are neutral, and it's easy to leave with a tasty serving of greens and your daily dose of Vitamin D! It's a yes from me dawg! read more

Sharing one of my favorite secret study spots haha. This place is petite, so seating can be hard to find during peak hours but it's super cute! They have amazing healthy smoothies, juices, coffee, and food. We came here for a casual designing/reading time. There's lots of big open windows for natural lighting and outdoor seating as well. My bf had the Pantera Rosa juice, which has pineapple, strawberry, grapefruit, beets, ginger, and lime. This juice was pretty good, and it definitely makes you feel like you just drank a healthy detoxing juice. I had The Nino smoothie, which has blueberries, strawberries, banana, peanut butter, honey, flax, and almond milk. The peanut butter really made it thick and nutty in contrast to the berry flavor. Finally tried Bebidas for the first time after driving past hundreds of times. So glad I did! I stopped in at lunch on a beautiful day, so I enjoyed dining on the patio. Ordered the Chicken Salad Sandwich (on a pretzel bun) with side of fruit and a sugar free caramel Latte. The service was excellent. My absolute fav was the Chicken Salad sandwich. The pretzel bun was soft with a light crisp and the chicken salad was unlike anything I've ever had - it was unique and perfectly tasty. The portions of everything seemed small for the price but the flavor, freshness, nutrients, environment & service well made up for it. I truly want to return here many times over to try everything else in the menu. This place seems like a great little spot to catch up with an old friend on a beautiful day. I came here with a coworker on a Friday afternoon and it was so relaxing and beautiful. They have rocking chairs and benches so you can sit outside but still I'm the shade of their trees. Their chocolate croissant tasted very fresh and sweet. AMAZING! My green smoothie (MasterMix) on the other hand tasted good but the texture was similar to a powder. It did not have the texture of a typical spinach/ spirulina smoothie. We also got a sample of their coconut tea. However, smelled more like coconut than it tasted. The taste of coconut was very mild. My coworker loved her rose tea. It came in an adorable French strainer. The tea tasted very fresh and none of the tea particles passed through the strainer. This is kind of a four star review for them but some things kind of hold them back in my Reserve. Not too much, I could add that other people have not mentioned except the negatives are pointed out as the guy at the front counter was pretty much monotone, do you remember the guy with the Clear Eyes commercial? Red eyes, dry eyes? Yes that guy I'd swear that was the mood set or maybe somebody that was speaking at a funeral. It's okay it was Sunday so I probably wouldn't want to be here either. The prices are pretty high compared to what I'm used to. But a few dollars isn't going to kill one. A positive I would definitely like to point out, there is a nice comfortable patio that you could car watch that is right off of Westheimer and I believe is dog friendly since there is a sign asking you to clean up after your dog. The other positive. It has a nice little interior but if you plan on coming here with about 15 people, you can forget it. It only has room for about 18 people. This place gets pretty loud when there are a bunch of people in here but catch them during a slow time and you feel like in the another world off of a city grid. This is one of those places possibly worth a try if you're in the area, parking is hell when it gets busy though. Someone mentioned something about the restroom being deplorable. I find myself going to Bebidas more often for a quick bite on the weekends. I enjoy their smoothies and a lot of their menu items. Tacos are great, both breakfast and lunch. I also like their salads, specially the avocado and toasted corn. It really reminds me of Austin and I love all the outdoor seating. They sell ice cones, but only for part of the year.
