One day, I finished my doctor's appointment and got really craving for coffee. I pulled out my phone and found a coffee house nearby. I started driving towards it but didn't realize it was at the other side of the parking lot. I was so glad that I found this quaint coffee house. Campesino was within walking distance. Me and my friend ordered coffees. He got a specialty coffee and I got a simple drip coffee with a splash of almond milk without extra charge. Service was okay. The atmosphere was okay. There were not many pastries to eat with my coffee. So, we went to Voodoo Donuts for something sweet. Most of seats were taken around 10 am. We didn't stay. All I can say is that I'll be back soon.

We weren't greeted when we walked in, and both the baristas and the staff at the register seemed disengaged. They came across as lethargic and unenthusiastic and the coffee itself was just as underwhelming, bland and forgettable. Been here a couple times before and it's always the same lame vibe. 2 stars because my friend enjoyed her tamale.

My friend and I ventured into Midtown for Easter weekend for the first time. We were afraid nothing was open due to the holiday but luckily pretty much everything there was open. I of course was in search of good coffee and we looked on yelp. Camp was calling our name & I am glad we answered! Loved loved loved my cafe con leche!! Been drinking the stuff since I was little & this was so smooth; so good I wanted to take another one to go after enjoying it inside. I had bought coffee beans they had on hand & one of their selections was from Guatemala. Everyone behind the counter was super nice & courteous, and the gentleman that rung me up for coffee offered to grind the beans & asked me how I usually brew it to see the consistency it needs to be done at, which I really appreciated! With every bag purchase, you get a free coffee! Rustic design, keeping the touches of what once was a creaky wooded house, making it a cozy spot to talk, work, & relax!

I came here because I wanted a good cup of coffee and a place to do some work, and definitely was not disappointed. It's a very cozy coffee spot with plenty of seating inside and outside. The coffee was hot and fresh and felt home. The service was also very friendly and quick. I definitely want to return because it was a very peaceful and pleasant experience. I recommend as it is a great spot to do work or study or just have a nice cup of coffee with friends or family.

This spacious, El Salvadoran-owened coffee shop reminds me of a Gryffindor Common Room. There's so many nooks and different kinds of seating to suit your work session with plenty of natural light streaming into the huge windows facing either the street or backyard patio area. At 8am on a Thursday the space was not full at all and the associates were friendly and welcoming. I appreciated most the straightforward menu with lots of specialty (super unique!) options. They have a 15% discount during Happy Hour from 7-9pm Mondays through Thursdays. My lavendar iced latte made with oatmilk was tasty and potent -- just what I needed to power through the end of a work week! I also appreciated the dedicated parking.

I had heard about this coffee shop so I was excited to finally check it out. It did not disappoint! I came here on a Sunday and it was pretty busy but I was able to get a table. They have free Wi-Fi so almost everyone was on their laptops because it is a great space to get some work done. You can choose from sitting at actual tables or more comfy sofa seating. When you walk in, you place your order at the counter. I decided to go for the Tamale de Elote and the Horchata Latte. I AM OBSESSED! They were both sooo good! Just like the food, the service was great as well! I am definitely coming back!

I wanted to eat breakfast type but not heavy and something to sit and chill and FOUND a cute little place!!! Mexican coffee!!!! Yes!!!!!! Cafe de holla and horchata iced coffee, and let me tell you about the pastries PAN MEXICANO to be exact!! Pan Dulce, and tamales OMG!! We ordered a pork tamale and cafe de holla and horchata ice coffee and empanada "guava" and chocolate and almonds muffin yummmmm!!!! Can't wait The service is excellent! The young man makes you feel welcome and is very chill when taking your order and the ambiance is very chill friendly homie!! I loved it!! The horchata iced coffee is good, I wished it was stronger! And had some thickness to it but it was still a good drink! The cafe de holla is missing the piloncillo and the coffee smell and taste is just coffee... try adding cinnamon and piloncillo.. that's the authentic Mexican cafe de holla. The pastries were good, soft, sweet and filling yum The tamal was perfect! Authentic Oaxaca taste!!! And it accompanied with chips and bottle salsa like in Mexico! I wished they had the yucca, I really wanted to try them. They have just regular potato chips and that ok The chocolate muffin is so moist and delicious!! They warmed it up and it made the top almonds and muffin toasty and that is a plus!!! I enjoyed it, so you know the place is an old house and I loved how they kept the walls dividing the rooms!!! With no doors, privacy and homey vibes

Very chill coffee house in Houston's Montrose district.

A fabulous converted craftsman designed house modified for relaxing, relating and maintaining. Hot coffee, sweet pastries, fantastic food and pleasant people. Multiple rooms to quench your personal space appetite for relatable relaxation and quiet time.

No nuts in the coffee! I met a friend here and it was pretty full on a Sunday afternoon. There's seating indoors and a larger area in the back. You order and pick up at the counter. I had to park on a nearby street. Lovely, flavorful coffee at a reasonable price WITH a free refill? Perfect for catching up with a friend or a first date. It's a great spot that I'd definitely return to.

I got the moya mocha. I liked the slight heat from the spices at the end of the sip. It is a small house with cozy vibes.

Came here to work for a bit and really liked the vibe. It feels super cozy and intimate. The tables are pretty small but can fit 2 people with laptops back-to-back. I ordered the horchata iced latte, and it was okay. It wasn't that flavorful and unfortunately tasted a bit watered down, but maybe it was because of the ice. The Wifi and bathroom password/code can be found on the receipt after purchasing something. The WiFi is pretty weak, but may depend on how many people are connected. It was pretty full and we came on a Sunday night.

It changes every week or so, so its not something that can just be given. They put it at the bottom of your receipt when you purchase a drink, so make sure to ask for a paper receipt when you order if you need the password!

    Are they dog friendly?

You can't bring them inside but there is a side patio and we have taken our dogs there

From the moment I stepped into this cozy spot, I instantly felt like I was back home in Puerto Rico. Just like our island, it's small, but filled with a huge heart. We spent time chatting with them about our families, childhood memories, and how happy we are that they've kept our culture alive right here in the Montrose area of Houston. We enjoyed a true Puerto Rican feast: arroz con gandules, pernil, mofongo con camarones al ajillo, pollo frito, empanadas de yuca y masa, flan de coco, limber de guanábana, and of course, more food to take home because we couldn't have it all at once! My personal favorite were the limbers with traditional flavors I don't recall ever having a limber outside of PR. This is a counter-service eatery, where you can see all the freshly prepared dishes right in front of you. You truly can't ask for better service; if there's something you're craving that's not in the menu for that day and they have time, they'll gladly make it for you! That's the kind of love and care you only find in places that cook from the heart. Prices are very reasonable although parking can be a bit tricky but that's mostly all of Montrose. Their unique position as one of the only Venezuelan spots in the loop becomes even more niche when one realizes that part of the menu is also Mediterranean / Middle Eastern (#1). If that's not Houston in a nutshell, I don't know what is. The place sports a casual vibe with a clean and bright interior. It's been practically empty with every visit, but I suspect the takeout game is strong here. There is limited parking in the back of the restaurant and the narrow alleyway entrance is somewhat easy to miss. Food wise, I am not disappointed. Their cheese cachapa is the stuff of dreams and includes a number of stuffings from ham to shredded chicken / beef. My vote is for their pabellón, which is a nice combination of shredded beef, black beans, and sweet plantains. For cheese lovers, the double cheese is perfectly indulgent with the sweetness of the cornmeal. The main draw for me was the arepas, which is something I missed having had so much of it back in NYC. La Pelua (shredded beef, mixed shredded cheese) is one of my go-tos, but my all-time favorite is the reina pepiada, a shredded chicken mixed with avocado topped with sprinkled salty white cheese. It's a staple in the Venezuelan arepa game and while their version is very solid, I'm just extremely thankful that it's available. Their breakfast platters are a big draw, which mainly consist of scrambled egg combos paired with arepas and various proteins. I think their yuca buñelos, tequeños, patacones, and especially their mandocas are incredibly underrated. The latter is practically dessert since it's mashed plantains with the cachapa stuffed with sugar and cheese. While they're not known for their empanadas, I do think their cazon (#2) is unique and their potato and cheese is always hearty. The shredded beef is a nice alternative to their arepas or arepitas (side) and make for an excellent snack on the go. Fans of Venezuelan cuisine who find themselves in the inner loop owe them a visit and I highly recommend calling ahead of time to ensure they have items available and to get a jump on the wait time for takeout. They are a slept on gem in the neighborhood and one that I hope sticks around for a very long time. _____________ (#1) The owners are Venezuelan and Syrian. The sweetest couple. (#2) Dogfish?
