Really wanted to give this place four stars but the food just does not warrant a four star despite the overall plus points that its halal, mexican-korean fusion which is hella unique, serves hella cheesy creamy fries and dont skimp on ingredients (the bulgogi korean rice bowl was bulging with bulgogi and so were the fries oozing with cheese). Despite these brownie points, i didn't think i would miss the taste to want to come back for their apparently famous bulgogi burger or the bulgogi rice bowl. Great and interesting food. Have eaten here 4-5 times and the only modest drawback is the service can be just a tad slow. The food rocks and the bebop hot wings are some of the best I have had and super crispy. The bulgogi burgers is killer and adding a fried egg puts it over the top. They will fill most people up. The quesadilla was also quite large. The wings were too saucy for me. I know some people like that, but I prefer wings that aren't in a pool of sauce. The burgers and chicken sandwiches are not bad but definitely on the smaller size. I will say the burgers are pretty well priced. As a Korean American who loves Korean and Mexican food I'm a bit perplexed on some of the flavors going on here. The spicy burger seasoning reminds me a little bit of sloppy joes possibly if you've had chopped cheese from NYC you would also know what I'm referring to with warm spices like cumin. The drink options are wide with bottled sodas and the typical soft drink fountain. Worker really seemed to care about our experience. I personally did not enjoy my time here. The restaurant smelled really funny..almost pukey. I adjusted to the smell but it was bad enough for me to consider leaving in entirety. The gentleman at the register was nice. I ordered the rice bowl with the ribeye. I'm not sure if it was the sauce or what but there was a distinct flavor that I did not enjoy at all. Enough to leave half the bowl uneaten Even the rice and meat on its own was average. We also got the fusion wings which were definitely a lot larger than I expected which is great but again the flavor was off and just barely average. I ate maybe 3 wings out of 10. Lastly, I don't mean to be a complainer but the coke from the fridge was not sweet at all..I haven't drank soda in so long I thought I'd catch a sugar buzz but it tasted so stale. idk if they get their coke from temu or Ali baba but it was def not your standard average coke or it had been sitting in that fridge for too long. The bulgogi was just ground beef, nothing special about it. The Korean chicken burrito was also not good. Rice way so over done and it barely had any flavor. The "special" sauces were indeed, not special. The Korean red sauce was just spicy chili paste. The white sauce was just sour cream. The fries were decent, at best. They were barely even salted. For my second time going to a chipotle styled Korean grill, I can only compare it to Kokee kitchen at Springfield mall. The options for the bowl are very limited for Korean items, which was disappointing in my opinion. The cashier who helped me said I can choose up to 4 toppings, but he didn't tell me that it would cost extra to choose 2 kimchi sides. The bowl was just underwhelming, felt more Mexican than Korean. I went there to order a cheesesteak fusion something the person who was making my sandwich looked in my eye, gave a head not to the other guy and they made my food and it looked like a two-year-old threw up and put a sandwich in his throw up and gave it to their customer. This place caught my eye the last time I visited 99 ranch! It's located right next to the 99 ranch in my area. I love the vibe from this place, like a street hip chipotle LOL. The wall decor is super cool, they got grafiti art with the restaurant name and framed album records lined on a wall. The inside is fairly small though, and the wait time can linger for a while because they have lots of orders coming in mobily. I really love their cashier! SUPER friendly and made sure everyone got what the needed, and openly addressed how backed up they were due to many orders they were getting. I ordered the Bulgogi bowl and a Bulgogi burrito for my dad. The Bulgogi bowl consisted of the default: white rice, kimchi slaw, cucumbers, bean sprouts, lettuce, and red sauce. The Bulgogi burrito had the same thing! I enjoyed the bowl, but since I'm nit a huge fan of cucumbers or slaw, I would try the Mexican Style instead of the Korean Style, or mix and match, next time! My dad liked the Bulgogi burrito as well. The only critique he had was that there was too much rice haha. I feel like this place has SO MUCH POTENTIAL! I love the atmosphere here! I love Korean and Mexican cuisine so it was obviously a no-brainer that I had to come and check this place out. My family and I stopped by on a Friday evening for dinner. They don't have a huge table set up for larger parties but we were able to join the tables ourselves to accommodate our large party. Everything on the menu looked amazing and we all got different variations of it. Our food did take some time to come out but everything was fresh and delicious. I personally got the bulgogi cheesesteak and I asked for it to be spicy. It definitely was not spicy but no complains, it was still very flavorful. I do however dont agree with all the extra charges posted on our receipt. We had a service charge and were expected to tip on top of it. A bit too much for a restaurant that doesn't serve you at all.
