Bebo's always hits. I've been coming here for over 15 years whenever I come visit Puerto Rico. It's my first stop once I leave the airport and has never failed me. Full of delicious traditional food with generous portions, sometimes if I'm curious and they're not busy the staff will let me try a little bit of something I'm curious about before committing to my meal. Very sweet employees in an outdoor/open air setting.

Review #1,048 Posted on 4.28.26 We came here for lunch while in town in late April, on Friday the 24th. We were hungry after drive back from rain forest El Yunque. This was one of the better meals I had while in the Carolina/San Juan area of PR. They're famous for their chicken. We tried the pork, pork spare ribs, & rotisserie chicken. We also got the sweet plantain, Puerto Rican rice too. Out of the 3-4 places I ate the rice at, this spot was the best one. The food was excellent, so tender and flavorful too. The pork fell right off of the rib bone, and the pull pork was so tender and good. The prices here are beyond fair, you can get a good amount of food for a really good price. You can tell why there was a line that was pretty long when we arrived, for sure a reputable tourist spot that no doubt holds up to their reputation.

Great local Puerto Rican spot with delicious, fresh-tasting food. The roasted chicken, pork and sides were excellent and everything felt clean and homemade. Bonus points for the rooster casually walking around--it added to the island charm. The pigeons were a little less charming, but the food more than made up for it. Definitely worth a stop!

Ok so i enjoyed the food. I ordered pernil, blood sausage, steamed yuca with onions and plantains. I enjoyed the food. Everything was fresh and tasty. When my food arrived I asked if they have any garlic sauce and one of the employees gave me some. I saw they didn't give me any hot sauce for the chicken so i back and asked The lady for some. She replied i served you and gave you hot sauce. I replied and said no you didn't i asked for garlic sauce and thats what you gave. Im asking you for hot sauce. Than I asked if you guys charge for the sauce? And she rolled her eyes and said yes. If that's the case than just say you charge for it. No need to be rude about something so small. I don't mind paying $1 for it. I ended up not getting any at all. I just didn't like the attitude that i was given over something so small. Courtesy and professionalism go a long way for a business. But two stars is what you get from me unfortunately.

Delicious bbq spot on the way to the airport. Place had outdoor seating only. Ready made delicious food. The woman behind the counter was definitely not the friendliest and the pernil was a tad on the dry side but well seasoned. I also had the yuca and tried the roast chicken which was delicious.

Bebo's BBQ is hands down one of the best spots to eat in Puerto Rico, and it has become our very first stop every time we arrive. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions. The BBQ meats are perfectly cooked, smoky, and juicy, and the sides taste just like home-cooked comfort food. What I love most about this place is the atmosphere--it's casual, laid-back, and you really feel the local vibe as soon as you walk in. The staff is quick and friendly, even when it gets busy, and the service never disappoints. Whether you're just landing at the airport or heading out, Bebo's is the perfect place to kick off your trip with authentic Puerto Rican flavors. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the island--this is a must!

Bird in the rafters (Greater Antillian Grackle or chango)

An absolute must. Either the first meal when you land or your last stop before you fly out. The chicken is excellent, as are the ribs. You can expect a lot of grease and even more flavor. It's not quite a white tablecloth situation. The meal is messy and the dining area is commensurate. You may need to fend off pigeons and chickens from your crumbs. And bird watchers may identify other avian diners as well (I spotted a Greater Antillian Grackle perched in the rafters). As to portion and price, a half chicken, a pound of ribs and two sides (I go for the rice and sweet plantains) plus drinks will feed four and run you less than $30.

Chicken maduros tostones and rice

Outstanding delicious must have food! Had the half a chicken maduros tostones and arroz con gandules and wow wow wow! Everything was delicious and well cooked. I can see why a line forms as you get a good quantity of food for a good price. This is a good spot to have lunch or dinner outdoors . Def have to come here if you're in PR.

Here on vacay tried for the first time as our uber driver recommended! We are glad we took the recommendation! A place all the locals go so you know it was good! Line was long but it moved super fast! Food was soo good! Zero complaints! Very inexpensive also! Until next time we will be back!

Mofongo, roast pork, chicken, maduros

The chicken was hands down the best thing I ate on my trip. It was so good I got it for my last meal before heading to the airport. It is so juicy, tender, and flavorful. I'll be dreaming about it u til I can get it again. The maduros was the next best thing we ate, it was super sweet. The roast pork and mofongo was not my favorite but I think it was just a personal preference. The service was great, little to no English but still easy to order since their menu has pictures.

If you'll eat anywhere in Puerto Rico make sure this is the spot. Prices are phenomenal and everything is hot and fresh. I didn't get too adventurous with some of the more interesting options but I tried all of the meats and they were all amazing. The line might seem intimidating but it moves quick.

I came here finally because everyone always talks about it. So I ordered a lot too much for one person but I wanted to try the different things. So I ordered all the meats the morcilla, pork ribs, pernil, chicken, chicken sausage and arroz con guadules. I enjoyed the chicken and the pork ribs with the rice. The morcilla was ok and I did not like the chicken sausage. The pernil was ok but it was not memorable. I also ordered a tamarind juice and it was overly sweet but as the ice melted it helped it taste better. There is usually a line but it moves fast so just wait. Now is it a must stop; depends on the person for me it was a one and done unless it's the middle of the night and I'm hungry and nearby. It is a basic set up with tables and chairs it has open air but does have a roof. The price was doable and I got a lot of food so if you are a large group; this is a good deal.

Food was good and nice variety and portions. The service was a bit unfriendly at the counter. Very popular place and worth a stop if you don't mind the impersonal experience ordering. It says barbecue, but it's more like roasted items. No barbecue sauces...

Great food...pork flavor was out of this world. Got the ribs as well and thought they tasted great. Will be going back.

BBQ is good, but the food is greasy overall. The beef selections were the best so go for that if you dont want to feel heavy afterwards.

Solid good PR food, nothing blowing me away but close to the airport! Parking can be difficult esp around lunch.

La comida era increíble, pero todos los empleados, especialmente las chicas, tenían una actitud horrible.

The arroz con gandules are full of garlicky flavor, and the amarillos (sweet plantains) are done just right.

If every place in PR is this great, we're in for a terrific weekend. These folks understand spice…read moreand seasoning. The presentations are horrible. So?????? It's not going to exist beyond 10 minutes when hitting our table. Everything is flavourful, especially the Churrasco a la Parrilla. Juicy and flawlessly grilled. My pick of the day. They cook things right. The Salmon was ridiculous delicious. I didn't mind paying almost $20 for the Argentine style Breast Fillet. Everything down to the potato was a treat. I'm a bit bothered by auto adding the gratuity to the bill. We had six but I'm told even parties of four incur this. The prices weren't the best, but, the large portions helped to make up for that. I've heard bad things about the service, ours was spot-on. Maybe not the most polite, but fast and attentive. I'd definitely be back to this place. 12/25

Huge Non-descriptive bar with 3 million stools decked in holiday deco that features a local…read morerestaurant. Walking into this old corner unit on Ponce de Leon is the smell of "hospital napalm" aka denatured alcohol rub, so, no smoking allowed. But pretty, pretty clean. Servers are dressed in Boston green polo shirts and do a perfunctory welcome. The large bar adorns the left of the restaurant with tables, cushioned chairs and a few corner units that can accommodate a few family sized 8-tops. There is a parking lot so if you're not going into the La Placita, don't worry. Classic PR bound and laminated menu features all of the good in life. Local favorites, and for good value. You're not getting a Michelin-starred meal here, you're getting sustenance not caviar. Protein, and starch- do you really need microgreens? So order the first of 3 huge pina coladas, mojitos or beers, and STFU Donny. Everything is great and pretty basic. PR "Mayo-Ketchup" on the table already mixed. Curious, I opted for avocado-stuffed fresh ceviche the size of a small child's head. Perfectly seasoned and incredible in value. Just needs lime wedges and a few chips-see pic. Others ordered a cauldron of piping hot seafood soup with shrimp and calamari, and tender beef stew with all the trimmings of rice, beans and everything nice. It reminds you of the PR mom you never had. One I'm still trying to emulate, but creativity and reasoning get in the FKN way. Enjoy your meal and tip the girls.
