The sancocho reminded me of the one I used to have back home - absolutely amazing! The appetizer platter was good, but got a bit overwhelming since everything was super fried. Our meal took quite a while to come out, and really we were the only ones there. If it weren't for the owner being so chatty and entertaining, the wait would have felt like an eternity. You're not getting a Michelin-starred meal here, you're getting sustenance not caviar. Protein, and starch- do you really need microgreens? Curious, I opted for avocado-stuffed fresh ceviche the size of a small child's head. Perfectly seasoned and incredible in value. Just needs lime wedges and a few chips-see pic.
