I have no beef when it comes to this particular BB&B. The customer service we got in the Bridal Department (we were registering) was very good.. and even the staffers wandering the store were able to point us in the right direction when we asked a question. Ironically, the bathroom at this store was disgusting beyond description--stalls, sinks, wastebaskets, floors--all of it. As a customer, I felt insulted that they are asking me to spend money in their store but yet do not consider me worthy enough of a clean bathroom. Really shameful. read more

Ahhh BB&B, where you come with your 20% coupons for bedroom, bathroom and kitchen stuff. I like the fact that they allow you to use multiple coupons on multiple items, and they never actually expire no matter what date is stamped on them lol.. Some things are priced higher than at Target, so sometimes even with the coupon it might still be cheaper at Target or another big box store. I could spend hours in this store, and I probably have. A lot of the items are about average retail price, I don't usually expect to get super good deals at this store unless I am armed with coupons accompanied by some sort of sale but they do have a a wide variety of products, imported items, and even a few obscure international spices that you really can't find anywhere else. This location is probably one of the cleanest and most organized ones that I've been to. The associates will interact with you without being asked and ask you if you've found what you are looking for. The returns process was fast and simple, no questions asked and I went on the day after Christmas and the line wasn't even long. I was honestly shocked that it took less than five minutes to return my item. The cashiers are also very nice. At checkout the cashier noticed I was buying a lot of spices and other food items and began and discussion with me as to what I was planning to cook with those items and we had a brief chat about different types of cuisine while she was scanning my items. There's also plenty of parking and it's exclusive to BB&B so it's much easier to find a parking space. The only thing that I found odd about our most recent visit was that the security alarm went off when we exited the store. It was super weird because we definitely didn't steal anything. We stuck around and showed them our receipt and finally determined that it was something my husband was either wearing of had on him that was setting it off. We couldn't figure out what it was but they didn't give him a hard time about it because we were cooperating and clearly didn't need to steal as we were walking out with a shopping cart full of paid items lol. P.S. All the holiday related stuff is now on super clearance so if you have the storage space now would be a good time to buy seasonal items at a super discount for next year :) read more

Whoa they have a lot of shit here. Found it to be pretty expensive even w the 20% coupon. Got some candles, chips and pillowcases. Staff was not helpful at all. I didn't find one comforter set i was looking for. The aisles were a hot mess. Everything was thrown all over the place. I asked two different people for help and one just walked away and answered his walkie talkie while i was still talking. I didn't realize they had a Harmon store inside too so i got some cosmetics as well. I really do love this place but between the aisles being super tiny and people just standing there and not moving and the prices being pretty steep it pissed me off. You can find anything you need for the home here. They have a nice selection of linens, pillows curtains as well as China, glasses, tablecloths, towels etc. There is a man who works here ( manager?) who is so sharp and helpful! I wish I knew his name but he is quick and knowledgeable in every single department! This morning when I came in to return a frying pan before I even asked... he had a replacement in his hand and I was on my way. The people in customer service are always nice. So on 07/16/2013 after extensive research we've decide to invest hefty $100+ on a fan, yes a fan! While ready to shell out $$, we had $5 coupon but Ryan stopped us and said to try to use 20% and patiently waited for us and when we were still searching and he had other customers, w/o a complaint, he voided our order, rang up other customers and said let me know whenever you are ready. And when we did, he allowed us to try different internet coupons (it took 3X). But he was AWESOME!!! I forgot to write his name down and only remembered that his name started with R. I had to exchange something today that I bought my wife for Christmas this past year and I felt like I was being interviewed by the cops. The lady at customer service was so extremely rude about the entire situation and it was embarrassing. The employees at this Bed Bath and Beyond are exceptional ! They deserve 5 stars. Yet the store itself is disappointing. I have been shopping at bed bath and beyond for many years. They always carried a wide variety of unique home furnishings. Not anymore. Their selection has diminished and their prices are high. They have a nice selection for kids bedroom, bath and toys. They even have toys and beds for your dog. Yesterday I purchased a shark vacuum cleaner from the PLAINVIEW location. When I brought it home and opened the box it contained a USED vacuum cleaner. I instantly called the store closest to me in Westbury and was told to bring it back and it would not be a problem. When I came in to the Westbury store this afternoon with the product, the original box as well as the receipt I was met with suspicion and doubt by customer service. The store manager Mark said he was not sure if he could take it back and that it was highly unusual for this to happen and that he had to "research the transaction" he asked me for my drivers license which is highly unusual if I have a receipt? He looked on the computer and agreed that I have never returned anything ever before.... Then he called the PLAINVIEW store to verify "proof" that it was purchased there. PROOF??? I have a receipt. That is my proof. Then he told me he had to have them look on the security cameras. I was treated like a criminal and was made to feel defensive. When I asked to speak to someone above him he said his district manger was in a conference/meeting. Ten minutes later he told me the district manager Beatrice would reach out to me. In the meantime another woman returned a vacuum cleaner she purchased overa MONTH AGO and they did not question her. My vacuum was purchased 24 hours ago.....Spend your money elsewhere if you need an appliance such as Target (where my husband ended up buying a Bissel instead of a shark vacuum). They are so nice and they accept Bed Bath And Beyond coupons. I have never witnessed such poor customer service as well as the most unprofessional behavior in my life. crowded - i felt slightly claustrophobic here. i'm not sure if it was because of the christmas clearance sales (which consisted mostly of mismatched kitchenware and dirty towels/napkins) or what, but each line - including the returns/exchanges - were at least 8-10 people deep. selection and quantity of items were pretty standard for this branch, but i couldn't walk through an aisle without having to wait for someone to move first. i'd probably be better off having visited the one located near the world trade ctr in manhattan read more

This store and my paycheck never seem to agree... I walk in and say "im ONLY going to buy A TOWER RACK" and walk out with 2 wagons full... EVERYTIME... however, this last experience kind of put a bit of a damper on my outlook of BB&B... I walked in straight from work and asked an employee where the restrooms were, she grunted, pointed and when she slipped off her name tag, so no one would bother her again, and went right back to what she was doing. I went into this location to purchase something that I saw online that was marked as a "pick up at this location" item. I called the store to make sure that it was in fact available and the store associate told me that it was available and that she would even hold it up front for me. When I got there, I went to customer service, waited forever online and asked for the associate by name and asked for my product and she said she didn't have it, and she turned around and went right back to what she was doing. No consideration what so ever. I went on to ask about 5 other employees for help before 1 gentlemen finally was able to help me and explained that the item in question was NOT available in that store and would have to be ordered online. He helped me place my order and make my payment. Guess I will have to try out the BB&B closer to my house in Oceanside. read more

I use to love this store, but as time goes by it has disappointed me one too many times. The customer service is non-existent. The manager made me wait 10 minutes to assist other customers and then completely forgot about helping me. I was waiting to pay and needed a price. After this treatment I went up to him and said this is the worse customer service ever...his response..oh I thought someone else was going to help...what!?! I handed him the cart of items and said I'd just make my purchases somewhere else. He offered no apologises. I made my purchases at Target which had the stuff for a lesser price to boot!
